What on earth is going on?

So I have a main character which is around level 60. In the garage it has a modded roosevelt with patriot tire smoke and north yankton plate, and it has a red sabre turbo. So I made a new character for fun, and I was crusing around freeroam and went to eat. After I came back, my new level 1 character had a red sabre turbo as a personal vehicle exactly like the one on my main, except different wheels. It also had patriot tire smoke like the roosevelt on my main character. What just happened? I've never bought any car nor did I have a personal vehicle on my new character.

Never happened to me since I have both slots occupied, but if it happened, like people suggested here, I would sell the cars for free money. However, I would sell one first then come back to my 1st character just to check if everything's still fine.

 

Because, you know, don't get f*cked twice harder if you wanna play a small risky f*ck.

Yes this is a glitch, I recently lost my character on Slot 1 so when I created the new one she

had all of Slot 2's 30 cars in her three garages, easy way to make money quickly as they

were all fully modded too.

This has actually happened to me in single player, I started up gta and instead of the usual scenes, Michael was driving a fully modified sabre turbo, exact same as you mentioned, even the patriot smoke, very strange

The other day, I was able to put 7 sticky-bombs on my car.

Some glitch involving having proximity mines elsewhere and this and that I have no idea etc.

The explosion was awesome.

For some reason, I have patriot smoke trail when parachuting. I never even bought it to my knowledge. I have to change it in the menu to the black smoke trail I do have. Patriot smoke doesn't appear in my menu too. Happens if I don't change the trail when first entering a session.

Thats because everyone got it for free in the indi update. For some reason when I change the smoke it changes back ;.;

 

I even bought new colours and changed it in the inventory menu but still goes back to patriot smoke for some reason

Happened to me once. Called mechanic on my brand new char, all 20 of my 1st char's cars were available to deliver. Sold them all

I had this a month or two back. Created a new character, and spawned to find a silver Huntley S with some awful wheels and the private plate I'd glitched onto mine.

 

Turned out my whole garage had duped over almost exactly as it was before the Flight School update dropped, albeit custom wheels were jumbled up, and all cars with metallic colours had reset to classic-black. I was able to sell all of them except for my Super Diamond, curiously, which has never been duped and had probably been in my garage the longest with the exception of my Oracle, which was found on the street.

 

I've had no success duplicating it though, it seems to occur when you create a new character around the time the servers are having issues.

I have heard of this happening OP...you would be amazed at some of the Glitches that exist (on LG & CG) that are repeatable. This was a specific Glitch I had heard earlier but it required setting everything up before an Update and then doing specific things before going on to your 2nd Character.

 

GTA Online really is one big Glitch thanks to R*. I mean this in a good way right now since I find the game itself less interesting than the Glitches right now.

Yeah, it does happen... I've had similar before.. scrub a character, make a new one, and what do you know? They've got cars and property already... nice..

 

There's definitely issues with save game data getting mixed... the worst I had though was my main character being blended with a male character from a totally different user account (same PS4/different user)... that was fecking weird..

There's some fault in the game somewhere, where save data seems to cross pollinate - especially if you've got it on the PS4 and stored online....

There is now a confirmed method to replicate this glitch, with one caveat -

it only works when creating a NEW character in slot one (on the left when selecting character).

For some reason the game copies the garage of your second character to your first if you do it properly.

It works on all consoles. Essentially a solo unlimited money glitch.

If you have a character in slot two with a bunch of stuff, then delete the slot one character and make a new one... That new one will have most of the stuff of the character in slot two. All the cars for sure, you'll see them come back when you buy a new property.

 

Can be abused for profit, obviously.
