Endless Bounty?

Whats the deal with killing a player with a bounty and not getting the reward and the bounty stays on them?

Is this just a mod?

i watched a second player kill him about 2 or 3 minutes after me and he didnt get the bounty either...

I've seen the lag that people are referring to many times, but a few weeks ago I killed a guy with a bounty and he simply did not lose it. I was in the vicinity for about 15 minutes and myself and several other players were killing him repeatedly, but he still kept the bounty. He was running round and shooting back and stuff, so it wasn't one of those bugs where someone appears to be in the session when they've actually left. This was just a flat out bug.

I thought as much. Well I've either seen it once in the lifetime of the game, or once on new gen in 3 months play, so I don't think it's a major fire issue at all. I'd quite like it to happen to me though

Worse is the people that leave the session, right after you kill them but before you receive the bounty.

Sometimes the bounty can lag for a minute or so after the target is killed. It seems probable someone else killed him first.

I have had this happen to me but I was the person with the bounty on my head. I was in an invite only session alone and had an npc bounty placed on me. Had the bounty for about a half hour when my brother in-law came online. I invited him into my lobby to kill me for the bounty. At the time he joined my lobby though I was having save issues. So he killed me and claimed the bounty and got it but I still had a bounty on my head. He had already received the money though. So we did some missions and finally my game updated and saved but I still had the bounty. I logged off for the night with it still on my head. Next day I got back online and joined a couple of crew mates session. I still had the bounty on me so I asked them to just kill me. Will 3 of them killed me at different times but the bounty stayed on me and no one could claim the bounty. I was finally about to give up and leave when enough time had passed for the bounty to end and I got the money. So my bounty paid out twice and no one else could claim it. It was really weird and annoying. It must have been some kind of weird bug that happened due to my time of saving issues.

yeah i've had that happen, its usually a bug or some corny mod. really dont care, its chump change at the end of the day and its their kd suffering, not mine.

there is bounty lag that seem to affect the game for months now...

 

sometimes you can kill the bounty and get the cash in a few seconds, other times it takes well over a minute to claim the money.

 

couple months ago, i came across this guy who had a perma-bounty... one killed the guy, claimed the 3k instantly, the guy respawned still with the bounty, kill him again, claim 3k again... the leeast i could say is that once people notice that i keep claiming the same bounty over and over again, the whole lobby ganged up on the poor dude killing him collectively well over 30 times before he left.

happened to me recently, ran him over idk how many times killing him. then someone else kills him and gets it smh

It realy just happens...its not lag its a bug(gues noboddy who didnt knew yet is gonna be suprised of that one)

I was killed several times having bounties on me and i just coudnt loose them

Yeah, I saw a low level guy get repeatedly killed (including by me) and not lose his bounty, I asked him how he was doing it but no reply. I then claimed a different bounty, came back to him a bit later, and claimed his. I guess it's lag-related, or just server sync issues of some sort. I don't think he was cheating.

This happened to me yesterday. I got put in a lobby with two other players and one of them had a bounty. Killed them twice and I still didn't get the money.

Seen this happen when there are save issues and when bounty is really low level and bounty hunter is really high level. Another low level went over and killed bounty and got it right away.
