Reverse killing

well here's what you seem to be leaving out.

it's freeroam, where there's no rules. so you can drop the whole "code of honor" act, because that's a complete joke in a session where anyone is free to abuse whatever exploits are present. he wants to die less, while not having to pay sh*tloads of money. so what's the use of being an absolute tryhard, when there's an obvious, easy option right there? besides, you're talking about being a cheeseball during combat, meanwhile your suggestions are no better than using passive mode- it's still an exploit. a not-so-money efficient one at that.

Er... what? No really, what are you talking about? What did I suggest that was even kind of an exploit? Owning weapons the game lets you own, or buying ammo for them? I don't follow.

I'm not imposing some code of honor on anyone, either. I think when a game has exploits available in it, it's the developer's fault, not the exploiter's. I spend my time lobbying Rockstar to patch up their holes, not lobbying players to stop exploiting. If I talk to players about the problems with passive mode at all, it's to ask THEM to email Rockstar so that the complaint gets heard. I do think using passive to kill people scot-free is cheesy loser sh*t, and I refrain from doing it, but I spend close to zero time telling people they're wrong for doing it. Instead I just choose not to present it as an option. If someone asks me how to kill someone else, I'll suggest everything except the stuff I find exploitative. That seems reasonable to me. I may know of some wall breach locations, but I'm not going to spread that knowledge around either. Players don't need extra encouragement to make the game less fun and more annoying, do they?

 there's only one problem with that "obvious, easy option"

It's a pathetic, easily out maneuvered option with a weakness just as obvious and easy to exploit as it's advantage LOL. "Reverse killing" is a clever trick that may work in the hands of some one competent, but from what I've seen, it's primarily just a cheap tactic that lesser players use to prey on even lesser players whom they assume have no explosives.

surely it can't be as easy as you make it sound, as i very rarely get killed by asshats while i'm in passive. meanwhile you see loads of people popping in and out of passive mode for easy/cheap kills.

which is impossible in current gen lol

and even then, it's not that hard to find higher ground to avoid vehicular manslaughter

Reverse-killers are why I always make sure to keep a full stock of RPG's in free-roam. I don't care about the money or bad sport, seeing their little car blow up and hearing their 'WHAAATTT?? OMG HAXXX' on the mic is more than worth the cost of insurance.

The ability to reverse shoot and register cheap kills (amongst other dumb shiz in this game) is why i have no guilt for receiving millions of dollars from modders and glitches.

My tactic would be to get a jet, set bouties on them in their chradders and then spawn kill. I would then get a tank once they entered passive and allow them to drive into me. Not one dollar spent on insurance and a max of $4k spent on lester.

Then don't allow them to get into cars by repeatedly parking the tank on them. If you're on next gen i dunno what to tell you.

They can just go passive.. and you cant do nothing about it. Nothing you can do will stop a player from getting to their PV. Unless they are really dumb. Nothing you posted would work.

That's why i added the "if you're on next gen i dunno what to tell you"

My tactics are for ps3.

I didn't have many RPG rockets, I believe I had around 6 and used them to destroy the Adders (and said drivers) and cost me approx 70k gta dollars in insurance payout

Sorry but IMO you're the idiot here...

Lol, this says more about you than about me. BUDDY...

Sorry, but you're definitely the idiot here.

Nope, if you are incapable of making a single constructive post or assert your argument in a subject without making personal insults then this has really exposed yourself and boss302 as a pair of cowardly trolls or one who is intellectually inadquate to add any value to the thread.

Add value or leave.

This thread wasn't about criticising reverse killing, rather just some constructive and tactical discussion on how to deal with it without using explosives like the RPG and stickies.

So far we have:

1) Go passive mode to use Cargobob to pick up offending vehicle and drop it somewhere unpleasant.

2) Move into tight spaces forcing the attacker to get out of the car or leave

3) Apply bounty on player for $1k then proceed to RPG the vehicle

But you are talking about 1v1, if you (or other single player) attacked me with the reverse killing method, I would blow your car up and hunt you down as you spawn so you wont get an easy chance to collect your vehicle.

The situation is different when it is 2 v 1, I destroy both vehicles, both players re-spawn, one can easily collect replacement vehicle whilst the other player keeps me busy so there you will see a continious wave of Chradders.

Meh.... Cargobob ain't gonna do sh*t. No ones gonna fall for that. Don't bother...

Applying a bounty is just a one trick pony...It will only work once.. That won't stop them.

Moving to tight spaces or terrain that cannot be maneuvered through is a good choice if you're on foot or a street bike,

But these are the best options.

- Use a mini gun and shred the car up till it smokes. Then stop shooting.. If you do it right it will blow up and you pay nothing.

- Deposit your money to the bank.. Switch to a different character.. Withdraw it all. Then swap back to your original character. Now.. you can blow up every car you see and never pay a dime. Just watch out for bad sport ticks.

So any seasoned PvPer have any tips on efficiently killing reverse killers other than using RPGs? Particularly when their is more than one vehicle to deal with?!

Thanks!

I'm all streetbike game, so I like to stay hitting cuts and getting an AP kill while aiming back real quick I'm also FA only now but there are a few other ways I take out Supers while on a bike but being in a vehicle wasn't your scenario here so I'll just throw some strategy aimed more towards your scenario.

My suggestion is to take to higher ground and catch one of them at an angle, otherwise.. with them doing nothing but reverse on you and you having no explosives, I'd rather call up a fast vehicle and get them on the move. Off Radar and go ammo up farther away from them too.. I mean, there's so much you could've done but didn't. I fight outnumbered all the time though so I'm more accustomed to different strategies. What level were you? Because you could have called Lamar & Mercs on them too along with a number of other things to help you get back on the move..

It sounds to me like you thought you were outgunned simply based on their lame reverse tactics. PM me if you want and I'll tell you everything I used to do in AA when I played that setting, maybe you might like and change your strategy up.

Place a bounty on them. No bad sport points or insurance fees. Considering the amount of "bounty hunters" you most likely will get help as well.

Other than that I just say take to the roofs and snipe. They aren't getting a car up there so they will either ditch and attack on foot or lose interest all together.
