Reverse killing

The ability to reverse shoot and register cheap kills (amongst other dumb shiz in this game) is why i have no guilt for receiving millions of dollars from modders and glitches.

My tactic would be to get a jet, set bouties on them in their chradders and then spawn kill. I would then get a tank once they entered passive and allow them to drive into me. Not one dollar spent on insurance and a max of $4k spent on lester.

Then don't allow them to get into cars by repeatedly parking the tank on them. If you're on next gen i dunno what to tell you.

They can just go passive.. and you cant do nothing about it. Nothing you can do will stop a player from getting to their PV. Unless they are really dumb. Nothing you posted would work.

You can't go passive with a bounty on you (sans glitch)

Bounties dont last for ever... And cant be spammed on a player. Setting a bounty is a one trick pony, Its good for a single kill..

Doesn't change that it's still an option

Its a one kill option.... One kill only matters if you plan on getting away. If thats the case... you are better off going off the radar and getting the hell away from them asap. If you plan on fighting them.. a bounty is still only good for one kill

But... if a constant flow of multiple Reverse Driving Bullet Proof Supers are the problem.. Bounties are not gonna help.

Only placing all your cash on a second character prior to entering the game will help at this point if you plan on making a huge mess.

Jaysus, why are so many people being absolute dicks to this guy?** Usually its fairly obvious when someone's putting these stories out to show of their maddddd skillzzzz but this doesn't strike me as one of those. He's not asking for a pat on the back, he's asking a genuine question so that he can improve. I can only say that I appreciate his humour in his responses - at least he's not taking some of you seriously.

OP, I haven't really dealt with this issue before so I can't really help you. Knowing me I'd end up blowing them up a ton of times (and, yes, therefore having to pay the insurance but whatever, I can earn it back easily through a couple of race playlists), waiting for them to get bored of the easy reverse-kills so that they exit their car and engage face-to-face or just take to a rooftop and wait for them to follow me up. Essentially I'd just do whatever I could to get them out of the car.

Probably wouldn't succeed, though. I'm not incredibly patient.

**Edit: Stupid question with no answer other than 'have you been on these forums before?!'. My bad.

agreed.

anyone who thinks the op is a bragster realy needs to get his stuff straight :p

You buying a tank then?

Thanks, I guess I could, but I dont wanna be portrayed as a 14 year old tank griefer and rather like to been seen as an elusive & cool killing machine.

If you can kill multiple targets in bulletproof cars, you don't need a tank. All you need is:

-more money for RPG ammo

-some bangin music to drown out the crying of your victims lol

but if victims are crying on the mic and yoire trying to ignore it i personaly think youre missing the real fun part :p

thats the beauty of gtao... evenknow you were killing them, they still won, not only did they kill you many times but cost you $$$ on insurance and added bad sport points to you.

they won, not you!0_0.jpg

Who cares what the cost is...atleast personaly i can tell you i woudnt even miss half a milion :)

Not to mention the fact that the longest freeroam battle i had didnt even cost so much overall....(it realy took a whole night before the last person of that crew left the session...overall i got owned pretty much though...they were great fighters)

Last night I had a fantastic PvP tussle with a pair of high ranking players who started out on the rooftops with snipers, realising that they were outsniped they broke it down on street level when they called in their Chromed out Adders so they could do some reverse killing.

I didn't have many RPG rockets, I believe I had around 6 and used them to destroy the Adders (and said drivers) and cost me approx 70k gta dollars in insurance payout, once I was out of ammo then things got difficult as one player was lagging so locking on with rifle before getting run over was 50:50, whilst the other guy was a bit crafty and would attack me when the other player was on my case.

Anyway that being said I came out on top and registered more kills than each of them despite being double teamed but a bit disapointed I got flatterned and sprayed too many times than I like against reverse killing players, when I ran out of rockets I had to adapt and sprint/jump around to get an aim at the front and side of the Chradders but doing so was risky, especially with 2 of them.

So any seasoned PvPer have any tips on efficiently killing reverse killers other than using RPGs? Particularly when their is more than one vehicle to deal with?!

Thanks!

Dude, you owned their asses, whats to complain about ?

That being said...you can also blow them up with sticky bombs.

Also if complaining about costs, every wise man shoud be prepared to blow 10 000's gtadollars out of the window when thinking about going into a freeroam war.

I wasn't really complaining, it was a bloody good laugh playing against them last night.

Just would like to survive more against these reverse killing chrome cars, so much so they would think twice about doing that again to anyone.

I was lucky I maxed out at 70k as it was! I ran out of rockets and couldn't be bothered to go passive and drive to ammunation, the thrill of 2 v 1 against the odds was too much to resist.

They were moaning and cursing alot on their mics when we were sniping each other, I was tempted to plug mine in but that would have made things sour.

They were pretty upset and were only briefly cheered up when I blew their Chradders as they thought 12k $ was free money, but it would have to be spent if they wanted their car back.

So contary to what some say, they were not trolling with their reverse killing, they were reverse killing because it was a more effective way to attack me as they failed to do so on the rooftops.

You probably took more kills then needed when xv1 you should always find cover, Behind a wall, stairwell whatever, They arent really going to call you cheating since their in their cars as is. But you get the advantage that they have to get out of their car. Saves you money in the long run also. Ive gone against a few where 1 guy kept going off radar and trying to run me over. dude kept flipping car and bytching about it. lol

Your car flipping story just reminded me that I lured them towards me whilst I stood near a lamp post or tree, I would move my character behind it and they fell for the trick and crash into it flipping their car over, that gave me a quick window of opportunity to run towards the driver side door to get the head shot in.

just do your best or go all out and put a bounty on one of them then call 911 (in game) then send mercs after one of them and watch the fun!

Well the truth is that it's just a cheap trrick that people who can't shoot or fight very well in general employ as a way for making up for their lack of skill lol.

Sure, a skilled person can use this too right? Of course. The difference is that usually it's a noob who's makes this their "trump card" not even realizing how easily exploitable this is to anyone with a brain lol.

Not to mention, most noobs who atempt this don't have very keen driving skills  which is necessary for not getting blown to bits by an RPG.

simple solution.

go passive mode if you don't want to lose sh*tloads of money, blowing up the same two cars over and over and over again.

i thought people would've realized this by now.

Do you really think people don't know passive mode exists or what it's for..? They're obviously choosing to stay active and kill people instead. They're looking for solutions that don't involve turning into a ghost. This isn't rocket science.

reverse killing is for p*ssies

sort of the same concept of a keyboard warrior

or the guy when you walk away after an argument turns around and says "YEA YOU BETTER WALK AWAY"

if I see you in a Zen or Ent and you reverse towards me I get in my RWB Comet and drive CIRCLES around your a**, I enjoy playing cat and mouse with people who don't know how to drive

They need to make it so that you simply can't shoot behind you if there is a bullet-proof back. It's that simple.

This is basically a mobile wall breach used by squeakers and pathetic grown ups with the minds of a self entitled 10 year old.

Why do they do it? Because they can. Same reason why people used God Mode back in the day with DNS meddling.

Quite right! The most obvious and sensible solution is not the correct course of action(!)

What if they do want to keep battling in free roam, but don't want (or are unable due to lack of ammo) to keep blowing up supercars? Where's the obvious and sensible solution to that? You're intentionally misunderstanding what he wants so you can be a smartass. So, uh, good job?

Next time you ask for a fix to a bug in a game, I'll suggest you just turn the game off and use it as a drink coaster instead of playing it. No more bug, problem solved!

There are people who literally don't know, but OP clearly isn't one of them. And in any case, lots of people like free roam battling and don't like resorting to passive as an escape hatch from fun battles, so let's pretend like that's who we're talking about here instead of constantly confusing the issue and saying obvious-ass sh*t all day.

As for what OP was asking for, here's his question in the first post: "So any seasoned PvPer have any tips on efficiently killing reverse killers other than using RPGs? Particularly when their is more than one vehicle to deal with?!" Using passive mode =/= killing, by definition (unless you're a cheeseball who abuses passive mode as a "strategy" in a fight, and I refuse to acknowledge their existence because that's corny sh*t for losers). He didn't really explicitly say what his main reason was for wanting these tips - whether to save money or because he ran out of rockets (both were insinuated). I gave him the broad spectrum of advice; I hope it was more helpful to him than the usual chorus of "USE PASSIVE OR SWITCH SESSIONS, HURR DURR."

yes, i do think people don't know what passive mode is for, because there's still idiots out there that think passive mode = cowering down from a boring freeroam deathmatch when really you could just be uninterested.

and OP wasn't looking for a solution that doesn't involve using passive mode (someone else mentioned the usage of passive and he agreed, maybe you should take a look). he's looking for a solution that doesn't involve losing sh*tloads of money for blowing up the same player numerous times.

I gave him the broad spectrum of advice; I hope it was more helpful to him than the usual chorus of "USE PASSIVE OR SWITCH SESSIONS, HURR DURR."

well here's what you seem to be leaving out.

it's freeroam, where there's no rules. so you can drop the whole "code of honor" act, because that's a complete joke in a session where anyone is free to abuse whatever exploits are present. he wants to die less, while not having to pay sh*tloads of money. so what's the use of being an absolute tryhard, when there's an obvious, easy option right there? besides, you're talking about being a cheeseball during combat, meanwhile your suggestions are no better than using passive mode- it's still an exploit. a not-so-money efficient one at that.

meanwhile if he's in passive, he could simply re-position himself to where he COULD shoot them out...or he could just surprise them with an explosive upon exiting. instead of blowing wads of cash on ammo, bounties (which is pointless, thanks to the cooldown timer) AND blown up super cars like you suggested.

regardless it's a lose/lose situation and your suggestions only make it worse.

Er... what? No really, what are you talking about? What did I suggest that was even kind of an exploit? Owning weapons the game lets you own, or buying ammo for them? I don't follow.

I'm not imposing some code of honor on anyone, either. I think when a game has exploits available in it, it's the developer's fault, not the exploiter's. I spend my time lobbying Rockstar to patch up their holes, not lobbying players to stop exploiting. If I talk to players about the problems with passive mode at all, it's to ask THEM to email Rockstar so that the complaint gets heard. I do think using passive to kill people scot-free is cheesy loser sh*t, and I refrain from doing it, but I spend close to zero time telling people they're wrong for doing it. Instead I just choose not to present it as an option. If someone asks me how to kill someone else, I'll suggest everything except the stuff I find exploitative. That seems reasonable to me. I may know of some wall breach locations, but I'm not going to spread that knowledge around either. Players don't need extra encouragement to make the game less fun and more annoying, do they?

This is why we need to be able to speed dial Lester so he can EMP surrounding vehicles.
