miljet...to buy or not to buy?

I'm seriously bored. The only plane I've ever bought is the dodo, because, well, it's neat, and all the other planes seem to spawn all the time anyway. Except the Miljet. Now, I never had much use for planes, but I've always said if I buy any it would be the Miljet. However, I'm also worried that I'll buy it and use it once and never again.

 

One thing I it's favor, I've heard it's pretty tough and can take out helicopters without destroying itself. Is this true?

 

One negative. I've also heard about lots of problems with it spawning when called. Any Miljet owners that can verify this, or that it's been fixed.

 

Anything else that would help make up my mind would be appreciated. I'll ignore the ever present smartass answers and wait for somebody serious.

Never Purchased the Miljet and never will.

 

Stick to using the Dodo as it can land on water, you can have Friend's hang off the side shooting and it is small enough you could even try landing in the Streets.

 

What exactly would you do in the Miljet other than Fly around and be able to land at Sandy Shores Airfield or the Airport? Or at least what could you do extra that would make it more enjoyable to use than the Dodo?

I bought the miljet, then pegasus started taking them back with 1.18 which sucks.

 

Would recommend the Vestra instead, sexy plane, can glide nice when cut engines. Cut engines before landing.

If laser is chasing you, rule #1 fly @ them...

 

Miljet not worth the 1.5 pricings tag...

I have no belief that I'd use this more than once and for the amount of money it costs, I'd rather buy another Adder or something that I can at least sell.

I bought the Miljet when it first came out. sh*t has so much dust on it. Buy a Vestra or Besra instead.

I have it.. I have it all... I never use it... I do use the swift heli tough.. nice heli..

I have one and enjoy using it, only with the crew though. I like trying to land it in awkward places like on the beech near all my crew and scaring the sh*t out of them

 

The thing with spawning, its ok but if someone has called for say a Besra beforehand and parked their car next to it, the car will be blocking the miljet so yeah sometimes it can be annoying but in a crew session, i never really have a problem.

 

I've always liked flying big planes and the bigger it is, the better low flybys are lol. The plane itself serves no extra purpose so unless you want to transport 16 people or actually just want to fly it, its not worth the investment.

I purchased it to park it in the glitched airport gate and blow it up with snacks (my secret. Never telling how), seeing as it's the biggest plane that will fit in said gate (Titan is too big). But I think it is a good purchase as I was hit by a missile launcher, and all that happened was the wings fell off. I was able to parachute out of the body as it fell. Might have been a glitch.

 

I also managed to dodge a missile in it somehow lol.

unless you have a big crew and actually hang together, i wont recommend the miljet...

It could probably be fun just because its big and silly but have you considered the Besra? It doesn't spawn for free, is the most nimble plane in game and among the fastest. I use mine all the time just for fun or to escape bounty hunters.

I've owned one since August 2014 and don't use it unless I want to just take it for a joy ride. However, if you play with you're friends a lot, it's a great choice (I would suggest the Luxor if you play with less than 10 regulars). Because it isn't very fast or agile,the only real benefit is the capacity for 16 players. I strongly suggest the Vestra. Along with being the third fastest plane in the game, its also extremely agile, colourful, and easy to fly. You're stuck with a two player capacity, though. I suggest the Besra if you want to take out helicopters. You can dive bomb them and pull up at the last second, hitting them with the belly of the jet. Also for he most part, the spawning glitch has been fixed, on the new consoles, at least.

Yeah this pretty much sums up why I still haven't bought it, and helps make my decision to keep it that way.

 

I do love the dodo, and land it in the streets all the time. My best moment with the dodo was when I actually used it in the mission "lost my mind". The guy with the package had escaped on a motorcycle, and was headed toward McKenzie field, I was able to go ahead of him and land next to the road, where is close to the lake still. Jumped out, shot him, took the package, got back in the dodo and rolled off into the water and took off before all the other guys on bikes could get me. Thought it was pretty slick. Lol.

 

I did not know about friends being able to hang on the side. That's good to know. Yeah I'll stick with my dodo. I don't like the Vestra or Besra at all. Maybe I'll blow some money on a zentorno just to use it for target practice. Lol

That brings up another issue. It seriously pisses me off that we can't choose our aircraft colors, but I never see anyone else complaining about this. Am I the only one?

Yes... The MilJet is the best plane in the game. Even though it's big it is still loads of fun to fly, can fit 16 people, and very good looking. Plus it's far better than the Dodo...

 

But it op - you won't regret the purchase.

The only planes I think are worth buying are the Besra (which pretty much made the Vestra pointless, and I now wish I hadn't bought the latter), and the Dodo. The Milljet might be fun for huge crew shenanigans, but otherwise seems fairly pointless. If you want a pretty big passenger plane, the Luxor spawns reliably and for free. If you want a really big plane, the Titan spawns frequently (though not every time) up north.

 

The only large plane I'd consider buying is if they ever let us own a true jumbo jet. Then sure, sign me up. It'd be fun just crashing that thing into people.

I have way more Miljet kills than Annihilator kills.

You already have the dodo so no need for a duster, Cuban etc so I think you're down to speed and capacity, ie a vestra (2) or a Miljet (16). The only other desirable one in your place would be the Besra but I'd wait for something sporty with new DLC instead of that tbh (ie Hydra). Seeing how you can land a Miljet more easily than a Vestra (honestly) I'd go for the one with AIR FORCE on the side

Yes I'd definitely buy the hydra immediately! But is it definite that they're going to be available to purchase. Yeah I saw it in the trailer, but with R* that really doesn't mean anything. Also saw a white swift, and that damn sure ain't in the game.

I actually don't like the swift. Think it's weird looking. Only way I'd buy one of those is if I could get it in white like I'm the next gen trailer. I have the frogger and the buzzard. Prefer frogger anyday over the swift.

It usually spawns in grey with yellow on the nose & tips of the wings, sometimes green or orange instead of yellow, I think I've had it spawn in all-green.

 

I wish you could choose the colour, I'd pick black a lot of the time.

 

 

On the subject of Pegasus planes, anyone else buy the Titan? I call mine sometimes at the start of playing A Titan of a Job when the host spawns us far away from the usual start point so I arrive at the airport already in a Ttan

Dodo is the only useful plane. If you want a plane thats just for fun get a Besra or a Mallard. Dusters are fun too and are cheap and can hold an extra crew member/friend/random in mission.
