what do you do when you have a car in the impound lot

But sometimes if I really want it I call my mechanic, ask for another car, call MMI to claim the insurance and then call my mechanic back to get my so desired car.

I never quit a session with a car impounded. Thats been asking for trouble since launch.

None of the above, I call another car, get the impounded one destroyed and pay insurance. Saves wasting time going to get it.

Pay the money and if there are one or two cars in their that are obviously PVs I'll gas em. If more, I get my Cargobob and dunk them

Depends. Most of the time I just pay it since I can make the money back in seconds and I have my car ready. If I want to have some fun with the cops I'll just waltz right in and steal it.

Even if I have several thousands to millions in GTA$, I'm a cheapass so I'll either climb the wall to get my car back or ask a friend to get it for me. That if they die while having the cops on them, my car won't go back to impound. Whereas if I died with the cops on me while trying to recover my car, then it'll go back and I'll have to start all over again.

When my Ruffian gets impounded I call the mechanic for my other one, then call Mors to get the one that was impounded replaced.

 

If I'm close enough I'll sometimes go and pay the fine, but usually jump the wall in a "you took my bike, you dead bitch" kind of way and kill a load of cops. I'm not really fussed how that goes as if I die and they impound my bike again, I'll respawn right near the impound.

I can't remember the last time I had my car impounded. Don't think I have yet this gen.

 

Something to add to the to do list.

 

I always "borrow" it back, screw paying.
