GTA Online Heists - Locations & Approaches [Investigation]!

So we know of a couple from the trailer, but we don't know all of the locations. We can also see some methods on doing Heists. Help analyze the screenshots, trailer, or just submit your theories and ideas for the locations and approaches!

These are theories entirely based on the GTA Online Heists trailer, IGN's screenshots and article, trusted leaked information, and the Rockstar Newswire A&A. Everything is pieced and linked together from various sources and is most likely very accurate.

1. Ornate Bank Heist

Approach A - Loud

-Get masks and suits (professional robber outfit)

-Go inside bank, hold it up, and take hostages.

-Go to the vault and hack it

-Drill into the safety deposit boxes

-Go outside and have a shootout with the LSPD

-Escape to Lester's warehouse/your apartment

Heist Complete

Approach B - Smart

-Get hazard-proof clothing, gas masks, and BZ Gas

-Go to the roof and throw the BZ Gas into the bank's air conditioner vent

-Wait until everyone is knocked out, enter the bank and break into the vault

-Drill into the safety deposit boxes

-Go outside and have a shootout with the LSPD

-Escape to Lester's warehouse/your apartment

Heist Complete

2. Prison Break

Approach

-Break into the Prison to break out Rashkovsky

-2 Players go undercover as Police Officers and steal an Inmate Transfer schedule from the Mission Row Police Station

-2 Players steal a stolen car from a Cargo Ship by the Port of South Los Santos

-Hijack a Prison Bus surrounded by police on the Senora Highway and evade the cops

-Aquire a Velum airplane by stealing it from the Vagos Contraband Smugglers at the McKenzie Airfield in Grapeseed

-Unknown Prep mission titled 'Wet Work' which involves 2 Players doing something with lawyers outside of City Hall, and the other 2 Players doing a stealth activity which involves taking out a man's security guards as a small part of the mission

-Rig a prison block with explosives (Demolition Expert) - (most probable theory)

-2 players go undercover as Prison Guards and drive into the prison with the Prison Bus

-The Demolitions Expert activates the charges and allows Rashkovsky (prisoner) to escape out of his cell (most probable theory)

-The Bus Team makes their way through the prison to reach Rashkovsky

-The Prison Bus team (2 players + Rashkovsky) drive to the McKenzie Airfield (or Sandy Shores Airfield) while trying to escape the police and the Demolition Expert escapes alone in the stolen car

-Meet up with the pilot (player) in the Velum airplane and take off from the runway (could be the McKenzie Airfield or the Sandy Shores Airfield)

-After escaping the cops, land on a beach (possibly Del Perro Beach or Vespucci Beach), drop off Rashkovsky and meet up with the Demolition Expert.

-All 4 Players join together in the Velum and return to Los Santos

-Parachute from the Velum and meet Lester at his Warehouse in La Mesa

Heist Complete

3. Humane Labs Raid

Approach

-Get stealth outfits with masks

-Aquire an Army chopper weaponized with 2 Miniguns (helicopter not yet officially named)

-No more Heist Prep missions known ATM

-2 Players cut the power in the Humane Laboratories

-2 Players infiltrate the building while wearing night vision goggles, silently taking out enemies

-The same 2 Players extract data from a government computer using a USB inside the labs

-The 2 Players flee the building and escape to a small beach along the coast

-The 2 other players are in the Army chopper, waiting to pick up the other team

-The Players on the beach fire off a flare, the chopper team lands and picks them up

-The team rides in the chopper to the South of Los Santos, but they're intercepted by enemy choppers along the way (most likely FIB, Merryweather, or NOOSE)

-They must shoot down the enemies with the Miniguns

-Once they escape, land and meet up with Lester (no known landing spot)

Heist Complete

4. Fleeca Bank Job

Approach

-Observe the Security for the Fleeca Bank on the Great Ocean Highway, just South of Chumash

-Pick up Paige (most likely Paige Harris, the best hacker in GTA V Story Mode)

-Obtain the Karin Kuruma, an armored sports car with shielded windows (similar to the Imponte Duke 'O Death), which is kept in a Del Perro parking lot guarded by a Little Seoul stick up crew

-The team will most likely need to steal a Cargobob along with an unusual big, yellow magnet used in place of the regular hook, which is used to pick up vehicles and lift them into the air

-No more Heist Prep missions known ATM

-2 Players drive to the Fleeca Bank in the Karin Kuruma and hold it up

-The players escape in the Kuruma and drive up the GOH until just before the Zancudo Bridge

-1 Player is in a Cargobob with an electromagnet on a rope. The Player airlifts the Kuruma with the Bank Robber Players inside to an unknown location.

-No more is know about the rest of the Heist. Although it may involve armored cars with mounted machine guns.

5. ???

Options for this Heist could be a Yacht, Aircraft Carrier, Fort Zancudo, or more. There is also an unconfirmed part of a Heist where the Players flood a location, possibly the Humane Labs

Help us figure out more of the Heist locations and approaches. Please add in your input, thanks!

Wait, are we even sure there are multiple approaches?

I'm pretty sure the Hazard Suits are one of the costumes a Heist Leader can choose.

Same for the suits and masks.

However. I am hoping for multiple approaches, adds loads of replay hours.

Good Thread Aidan D!

Really hoping for a lot of communication, teamwork, and timing to pull these off. All 3 which would basically make playing these with randoms impossible. Maybe even add a RP or $ bonus for playing as a crew. I have built up a strong crew of friends that I know we would have no issue working together to get these done. Hopefully the build up is good and everyone has a role that is crucial to the success, I know that is something R* has said was an issue early on delaying the release.

All I ask is that people stick to the plan. I can see hiests with randoms being a bit chaotic.

There is a 100% of failure concerning what you just said. Any competent player who's done Los Santos Connection, or even RR thru a quick job should come to the same conclusion. And That s*** only has 3 objectives: kill the guys, get the stuff, deliver it.

Ain't NO TELLING how bad randoms would mess up heists. Especially if not everyone uses a mic for it.

Slightly OT(?) anyone have a guess as to if we would be able to switch out or substitute "heist mates" during different phases of the heist?

No, I'm sure we can't. If you band together in a crew to tackle a Heist, Rockstar isn't gonna add a 'Kick' function, unless it's before the actual start of the mission strand (load up screen).

That sounds like an exploitable feature to be used by trolls :/ Edited by RoyalRedXIII
