Online Chat Settings

Who do you talk to online? If you don't talk, either to friends/crewmates or strangers, then what kind of things do you hear when you leave your chat on? Ever receive any creepy texts or hilarious responses to a text you sent?

 

Personally, I leave my chat set to "Everyone" most of the time and just listen to the antics, unless I'm blasting some music or turning everything but the Sound FX down so I can hear proxy mines beeps and sniper bullets whizing past.

 

My favorite tho is hearing people call me a hacker cause they can't understand why Im beating them.

I tend to have chat set to Friends and Crew only but I still sometimes here others chat down the headset

whilst in a lobby screen or free roam which I don't understand sometimes why that happens if set to friends

and crew only.

 

Very rarely chat in a public lobby largely because I have sensitive hearing so if there is a screamer in my

ear or loud music I have to mute them instantly.

I keep it on no-one, can't stand all the squeakers and all the players that seemingly play in their kitchen while their parents are cooking.

crew and friends. i don't even answer txt messages from others. the conversations are too racial and ignorant and far too many to mute individually now.

If I'm not in a party, I keep public chat set to no one, assuming it will actually work. Usually the game just laughs and plays everyone's annoying audio anyway so I have to hear the squeaker yelling at his mother or all the "nigga this nigga that" talk.

I'm with OP. Listening to "Everyone" but staying quiet does give you an advantage over the mouthbreathers who think out loud.

I set the chat to everyone.

 

A lot of the time all I hear is 12 year olds screaming "HACKER!!!" or yelling "N***ER!!"

 

Or a clan making up a plan to kill a bunch of people.

 

Mostly you hear people arguing and just dropping F-Bombs like Hiroshima.

 

You're almost always guaranteed to hear one of the above if you play 10+ minutes on Online.

I change sessions if no one has their chat settings to everyone.

Went through like 4 lobbies the other day because of that sh¡t.
If I know you have a mic but have your chat settings to Friends and Crew only, I will target you so that I can hear you speak in that 2-second window after one of us kills the other.
