GTA V Pre-load release date?

At the least? Few days before launch, most probably. At the most though, it may be a full week, especially given the size of the game.

Does any one know the pre-load release date of gta v? cause once it's available Im going to buy it..

There is nobody here who is 100% certain of it.

But usually pre-loads tend to be available 1-2 days before release.

That means it is probably going to be available from 22-24th March. :)

Around 7 days before the Release Date.

Don't expect 2 weeks, y'know...

Rockstar doesn't wants the game to be "released" earlier, ROFL.

So if there is a preload will there be such thing as shipping gta v physical box before 24th?

Usually Amazon ships AAA a few days earlier so it gets to your house on the 24th.

It has happened before cases where the game actually reaches its destination in the previous day and Amazon got in trouble cause of that.

So yes probably if you order through amazon it gets to your house on the 24tth

You have to check with Amazon if they will do that with GTA V though.

They don't do that for every game.... Probably they can only do that if Rockstar allows it...

So ask before you pre order to be sure :)

That happens with every major game.

Physical copies are usually at retailers/distributors a couple of days before launch so they can sell them instantly on release date.

It's given to them on good faith that they'll only sell the game on launch and that is true for most cases...

But on the contrary in many cases they are sold before the release date or shipments arrive to the buyers address before the release date.

Back when I bought physicals copies for my PS3, I got many games before the launch date because the website I ordered my games off from would instantly ship the games the moment they got their hands on it.

And that is probably true actually xD

They will just know that info closer from launch as they depend on Rockstar...

Amazon rarely lets the games get to the buyers address before launch date. They actually comply with official release dates.

Places that will get you the game before release date tend to be local retailers/websites since their activities are more under the radar and won't receive and scrutiny for breaking the release date.

Amazon only ships it before the 24th of March so the game can be at your drop step by the 24th of March.

Edit:

Ignore what I said... I thought you said that in hopes of getting the game before launch.

7Days? Impossible. 5 at the max. If they release pre-load before 7 days, chances are it will be cracked.

Don't think 2 days are going to make difference to "crack".

By the way, a week earlier should be the best choice.

65GB downloads in 6 days if you have 1 Mbit...

Consider the file size too...

By the way, decrypt those files mustn't be an easy job, and later they would need to deal with the game copy protection, which we don't have any idea on how it is.

Impossible... why? '-'

The earlier the pre-load, the more chance of files being leaked.

...files that have existed to the public for nearly 2 years across 4 different platforms. It wouldn't be as big of a deal as when the game first got leaked in the PS3 pre-load in 2013.

It will not work, executable files usually can not be downloaded before release. Moreover, game files may be encrypted. (In steam 100%) Edited by Inspirer

I hope preload starts at March 1st so I can play on release date (sh!t internet)

Well you can absolutely forget that

Maximum days before release is like 3 or 4.... Not more.

So I am aiming for a pre load at max the 20th

You underestimate Skid*** way too much. They literally cra**ed Assassin's Creed a month before release. I don't know where they got the exe file but usually they immediately roll out a cra** as soon as pre-load opens. They must be some gipsy sh*t. :p

Say thank you to uplay. There is no any game files protection.
