In any case the PC version should allow for props to be available online. No animals because that would just look bad on rockstars end.

I fully expect the pc version to suck just as bad as the ps4/xb1 version though, Rockstar had a chance to step it up with the greatly improved hardware over ps3/xb360 but they failed miserably. There is far more potential on pc of course, but the clowns can't balance or optimize either version in over a year so its pretty likely they will half ass the pc version as well. This game is dead, they are working on gta 6 now and don't give two diddlys about gta5 anymore.

Regardless of the hardware possibilities on PC, it's still a port from a PS3/Xbox360 game so it will most likely be dogsh*t next to dedicated PC games, just like it is next to dedicated new gen console games.

 

It's still an awesome game though, so meh. There are plusses to getting it on PC, but it's still gonna be the same core game.

This guy gets it. It's amazing the number of people who complain about something yet don't grasp the reason it is actually happening.

 

It doesn't take a genius to realize SP and online are run on the same exact machine using the same hardware but one looks better than the other. With just a little bit of technology knowledge and some common sense it should be easy to deduce that it's not the system but the internet connection that is causing the game to perform differently.

Would I be able to run 4k with 2 980's? At a decent frame rate? I'm planning on getting a 80" 4k tv because I'm not a fan of monitors and I'm deciding between a 2k projector or 4k tv.

Graphics have nothing to do with connection speed, all that info is stored and processed on your system, very little data is actually transmitted while playing online. PC play 64 player games online at 4k resolution. When you add more people it taxes the processor keeping track of what everyone is doing and weak consoles don't have enough processing power and sacrifice graphics to try and keep up. Pcs have dedicated graphics processors that cost more than the whole console, and their processors are also way faster, but they cost around 2-3k if you wanna play the newest games on the highest settings. Consoles are essentially just cheaper slower pc's and as a result game quality suffers.

 

Not Rockstar server limitations either, all their server does is store your player info, no part of the game is played on their servers. It basically just holds your save file.

the props removed isnt about graphical limitations its about peer to peer connectivity limitations. The game has to send info to the server about every dynamic object in the vicinity and the clients have to try to sync that up. The more cars peds animals trashcans ect that every players pc has to process can make game performance suffer. Even on these "overpriced sh*tboxes" that everyone says is the master race. The fact remains the same. I mean hell gta cant even sync car damage.

You'll get options for graphics so you can configure it for your PC's max running spec's. Similar to NFS World.

Dude you know that consoles have dedicated GPU's!

 

The PS4 is a specially designed version of the Radeon 7870, not a top of the line GPU but probably better than a lot of PC's

 

PC's can perform better, but they can also perform worse, you'd have a hard time building a PC to match the specs of a next gen console for under $500

Figure this, PC's are non-standard.. each has their own hardware abilities..

 

You set up something like GTA Online, you're going to have to ensure that every person in a session sees the same thing, even if it is to varying levels of detail. So stuff like that will be the first to go.. and you can't have it optional... what happens if someone shoots at a rabbit, it runs out in front of a car and causes a pile-up or something.. person not seeing that rabbit is going to be hella confused.. or do they see the pile-up since they can't see the rabbit.

I would love to try it out first before buying it, is there anyway I can do that? I'm not from america btw.

Dont waste your $ on a 4k obsoltete TV

 

4k is old gen, 5K is out and is current gen while 8K TV's will be next gen......
