Ambient_
After an insanely bloody shoutout I've read the police sometimes stop spawning, but is this actually true? PhillBellic
That has never occurred in my game. What most likely happened was that the game had too many models/ pedestrians loaded, and couldn't spawn anymore. Jeansowaty
I didn't experience this either, but most likely the game was running slow. GTAnian
It happened to me at the 'ivan bytchkov' construction site in HOVE beach, they stopped spawning for 5 minuets before the reappeared again. 350+ cops were killed. Drunken Cowboy
There are an estimated 35,000 police officers in New York. I guess that's the magic number. Nah nah nah Gta 6
They might stop spawning for like 30 seconds but thats it, might be due to the amount of NPC's in game as stated above. It also occurs in GTA V however and is more common. puffy
The trick seems to be being in areas where police won't usually spawn anyway... of course those are the best places for long shootouts anyway. Three places I've gotten it to happen: 1. Happiness Island, very quick here. 2. Alderney Industrial Park-- though I was high up, and there's lots to get tangled up in in there. 3. Southwest corner of the UN building, after they stop coming in waves up the stairs they start spawning in some road curve south of the lot, then stop spawning entirely. The inevitable vehicle pileup slows the game really badly. ILikeToPlayGTA
Not sure if this is what you're talking about, but I had an encounter with one of my save games (PC version, still at Hove Beach safehouse). I would load that specific save game, shoot a lot of people and receive no wanted level. Killing a cop wouldn't even raise my wanted level. Found an old thread about it: http://gtaforums.com/topic/381776-gta-4-cop-bug/ Edited February 24, 2015 by ILikeToPlayGTA Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/767823-police-stop-spawning-is-this-actually-real/#findComment-1067019540 Share on other sites
Webster.
That has never occurred in my game. What most likely happened was that the game had too many models/ pedestrians loaded, and couldn't spawn anymore. Unlike in GTA V whereas cops spawn everywhere meanwhile trying to escape from them lots of cars are on the road and pedestrians flood the streets, sh*t I miss the GTA IV police system Edited February 24, 2015 by Webster.
