Will the sad trombone glitch result in a money wipe?

Given R* track record I would say no. Besides, its in their code, you are not altering code to create money, and it only(best case scenario) an extra $5k. It would be real hard for them to nail down how much of your money was from the horn or any other car.

Yea the money wipe was a 1 shot deal and won't happen again. There have been far more profitable glitches that resulted in nothing but a patch. I think Rstar has accepted their "economy" was bogus and people just want money to buy things. Plus onlines been up for well over a year, having lots of money offers no advantage at this point.

They've never money-wiped people for glitching. A wipe has only happened one time and it was meant only to target modded cash. People who somehow dodged the modded money and had millions in LSC dupe glitch dollars were unaffected. So I'm pretty sure R* couldn't care less about the lowly Sad Trombone thing.

A glitch that gave you a 10k profit will definitely not bring a money wipe. Hell, the hooker glitch gave people millions and there was no money wipe. I wouldn't worry about it. All they did was lower the cost of the horn.

the hooker dupe didn't result in a money wipe, that was one of the easier money glitches to have come along in a while. so I don't think this will.

I made a thread awhile back that talked about money wipes. Rockstar only wiped money because at the time people being gifted billions was way out of control. Since then other money making methods were not as wild as the billionaire days. There will be no wipe unless money gets out of control again.

It's a glitch. Just cause it's a hell of a lot more simple than the other glitches where you have to do 50 damned steps...doesn't mean it isn't a glitch.

 

And all glitches are their fault...still doesn't excuse those of us that take advantage of it.

People need to realized that glitches aren't just the fault of Rockstar. The game will never be perfect, but some glitches that are around should have been patched ages ago so Rockstar are at fault there. However, the players are also at fault for finding and then abusing these glitches. Don't be so quick to flame Rockstar, you should be bashing the people who discover these glitches.

I was initially worried about this too. I went from $16 million to $32 million from the Rat Loader + sad trombone horn combo. But now, I doubt a money wipe will occur. The profit was low compared to some other money glitches that were around at the same time as this one. I'm sure those glitches got more attention than the sad trombone horn one.

I did it while my favorite sports teams were playing. I have two TV's in my game room. I did the glitch on one TV and watched the sports game on the other.

It is not a glitch. When someone glitches, they are forcing the game do something its not supposed to do.

 

This is just buying a horn, big difference.

Glitches serve to remind us of how R* continually manage to break things Online when in many instances (Wall-breaches for example) such Bugs/Glitches do not exist in SP...Given they have had nearly 17 months to Patch a number of Bugs/Exploits that have existed since Launch, my attitude has shifted to no longer caring if people Glitch money since R* clearly do not care that much about the end user experience Online.

 

Lets face it, R* still have not bothered to Patch most (if any?) Wall-breaches on any Version of the game (found after their Launch), yet a Wall-breach comes along on PS4/Xbone that allowed the Railyard Survival to be completed without being Shot and it was Patched (without an Update I might add!) in a few days...R*s priorities are clear.

 

Player's are still to blame also but R* really needs to lift their game.

I believe Rockstar juiced up the prices of DLC cars from what they were originally going to be, as a way of countering the cash made from car dupes.

I loved the hooker glitch and the sad trombone glitch, it's actually the 'happy' trombone glitch when u think about it, happy trombone glitch + gold/chrome dubsta = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

 

The only money wiping my character will ever know is.........
