Trade In Property

I own multiple properties in GTA online, one of them being the cheapest apartment in eclipse towers. I have saved up to but the most expensive apartment (with the updated interior). But when I got to trade it in, I get no money back for trading my apartment. However, I do get money for my other properties around the map. Can someone please explain how this works?

Well when you upgraded you had to pay the extra cost to upgrade to the new apartment so naturally you wouldn't get any money back since you had to pay to upgrade.

 

The reason you got money back from your other apartments is because you traded for an apartment that was under the cost of your original.
