tips for buzzard?

Pro Tip- Don't let anyone in your Buzzard on missions, those f*cks always take over the rockets and can't hit sh*t.

 

 

Pro tip #2: Know when to use your Buzzard, but more importantly learn when NOT to use it on missions. For example, there's nothing more embarrassing than having a good run on The Los Santos Connection and then you fail the mission for your team because you tried to take out the 2 enemies guarding the coke with your rockets thereby destroying the package.

 

If you're wanting to learn how to circle strafe though, I might suggest playing Clearing the Cathouse or CCO3 as others have mentioned.

Los Santos Connection is the one mission that destroying the package doesn't result in a failed mission. Pretty much any time we play with 6 players the package is destroyed yet the last plane still spawns and the mission continues. It's strange but I like it.

 

For strafing practice i'd choose missions that don't involve rescues, theft or flammable packages. So many missions are failed thanks to one misplaced rocket or a gunho minigunner that shoots up the objective instead of the enemy guarding the objective. So I suggest any mission that requires you to only destroy or kill things until you have good control of your weapons. There are too many of those missions to mention but a quick read of the description normally pays off for me. The ones i can think of to practice minigun strafing would have to be Trash Talk, Judging the jury, and that part in Los Santos connection where someone else has to hack the laptop, but there are so many more I can't think of.

That H8me guy has a good video where he uses a DM test in creator to practice shooting. NPCs all armed with melee weapons gives you a chance to get some nice practice in. I'd do that OP.

 

If you want to use it in FM, use non-Pegasus buzzards so HL doesn't lock onto you. Use an expanded mini map so you can keep an eye out for jets and other copters. Definitely learn to use the guns. They may wobble, but if you attack nose down they get more stable and do a lot of damage.

that part is not true!

i get a randomly spawned buzzard quite regularly and get locked on in it just as often as in a pegasus one.

if you haven't been locked on in one then it was just luck.

Land on the Maze Tower, snipe the guys on the top level of the construction building.

 

As far as I know, the Buzzard is the only helicopter small enough to land on the little outcrop of the Maze that's level with the suitcase storey of the construction building. From there you can snipe more goons.

 

You can then use rockets or bullets for any you didn't manage to snipe. Be careful not to blow up the suitcase with rockets though.

Just did that last night (but watch your step--very little space to the edge!). What's odd is that the NPCs started shooting each other once I took out a guy on the right side.

 

I'll be playing with this some more, but only the Buzzard makes stuff like this possible (that's a good sniping spot too BTW).

 

But H8mEx is an amazing pilot--just wish he would make a PC version of his flight and shooting practice maps (tons of maps--just didn't see any Buzzard-training specific ones?)
