Upon the release of GTA V, you are invited to make a difference. We're going to get militant like Sam Houser with this.

Now, we're targeting Steam with this, because you can see what your friends are playing (friends list/profile), what games they do and do not own (profile), and who on your friends list owns a specific game or not (game's library page has a list of friends who play it)

When you see people playing anything other than GTA V, ask them why they are not playing GTA V.

Friend is playing BF4? "Why are you playing that?" "What do you mean?" "You should be playing GTA V with us."

Friend is playing Watch Doge? "Why aren't you playing GTA V?"

Friend is playing CS:Globally Offended that people still play that? "What is wrong with you? Don't you know GTA V was released?"

And so on.

We need to make the marketing of this game a community effort post-launch. I am sure Rockstar is going to give some great marketing in the lead up to the launch, whether it be small or large, it's sure to epic for us who have waited so long to play this game, but we really should be the stree... er, online team about this for them.

Show them how much their work is loved on PC. If someone says they are waiting for a sale, tell them to wait on these deez nuts and get the game now.

Someone invited you to play PayDay? Reciprocate with an invite to buy gta v and join you there.

The idea is to be naggish to the extent that people complain about it online or memes are born about the rabidness of our friendly militant recommendations.

Make it legendary.

Make it the most played game on steam daily. If it isn't #1, we're not doing our job.

Church.

No, I'm quite sure this is the PC version of GTA V forum. Thanks for your concern, however. Great potential for wasted energy you have there. Someone who takes the time to make posts as pointless as that one is sure to be lifeless enough to jump right in and be a major, and powerful asset to this military, so, let's see that energy directed somewhere better, like at your friends list occupants who haven't gotten V when the game comes out. Welcome aboard, soldier.

I understand your idea of marketing the game for R* see PC community better, but this is the wrong way. First R* need to treat us better, than we gonna make it naturally, without anyone asking for it.

I'm not going to ads the game which they delayed for years (yes, for me is years, period) and don't give a sh*t about us. I'm going to play the game because I love the game, I'm going to be silent about it because I hate R*. Simple as that.

OUT.

Wow, this is just f**king rude, man. If someone doesn't want to play a game why should they?

Rockstar doesn't need any help when it comes to marketing for this game, previous experience has shown that the name "Grand Theft Auto" obviously markets itself.

Xerukal, look a little closer at the capitalized letters in the topic title.

Help promote an already overrated game that will probably be so badly optimized it would make Watch_Dogs look good. Made by one of PC gaming's biggest enemies, and overpriced on Steam despite the fact that it doesn't even come with a disc. And to do that by harassing anybody who doesn't like it or can't afford it. Right.

And Fanboy of The Year goes to...

What does "OLO" mean?

And this is just a stupid tactic, most people you spam to play GTA V are more than likely going to just unfriend you or ignore you, or say "f*ck off :p."

R* knows the PC community loves GTA, but so does the console community, and the console users are greater in number than us, so obviously they're going to shift focus towards them. It sucks, but it's a fact.

Regarding them not having proper communication, they do that for consoles too, but probably not to the extent we've gone through.

I don't know, this is just spamming at the basic level to be honest. Doing this will just create the image of how we're nut jobs :D

I express no concern for pointless spam or people trying to be... "funny" on the forum.

You dont have some other forum to spam with your hysterical comedy?

I don't think that may be a good idea OP.

What I think WOULD be a good idea on the other hand is to message fellow GTAV players and convince them to pick up some modding tutorials. The more people contributing the better.

One more thing OP: How do you know whether Sam Houser is militant or not?

He said his responsibilities on GTA III were to be "militant on ensuring the game had a look, a sound, a story and a feel that worked.", for example.

Aside from that, if you know the meaning behind everything in GTA games intimately enough and can see the matrix for what it is, it becomes pretty obvious which side of the eye they are coming from, and that makes us scooter brothers. <3

It says YOLO, LevelDockSix

LOL hell no, the game is very much overrated, i mean the metacritic score is like 83, San Andreas has a metacritic score of 88.

Please lock, this is spam as they said. Unethical to advertise like that, its annoying, and it can be called harassment. As the old saying goes good products need not excessive advertising.

This will actually turn the GTA V PC community into a laughing stock. Don't do it.

Man, I don't wanna be offensive, but this idea is... childish. You're PAYING them for the product. It's their money then, so they can spend it to promote the game by themselves. It's a company, and only thing they care about is to get as more money as it's possible. It's in their business to care about marketing strategies. Don't try to be their slave, even if they're already treat us this way...

After GTA V release I'll be playing something else. After a week I'll check the bad reviews and make a decision whether to buy it or not.

I'll sure recommend all my friends to buy the game once I played it myself and confirmed myself that the PC version is good and well optimised.

Would like to actually understand what "YOLO" has to do with everything.

I don't think forcing your friends to play is a good way of "promoting" or something similar.

There's no need to do that, we gave them money, they can do that.

BTW, I'm pretty sure a lot of people will be playing the game on 24/03, at least most of my friends.
