Things from other games that should be in GTA

American Viking

In Red Dead Redemption, occasionally while riding through the wilderness, we can come across a group of people sitting by a campfire and if you sit with them they will tell little stories about John's adventures or whatever. This would be awesome to have in GTA, but instead of campfires, maybe you could stand with a group of npcs and here stories. Just imagine this scenario. Franklin is walking through his old neighborhood and he joins a couple guys standing around.

"Hey Franklin, whatchu been up to man? Did you hear...Vangelico was hit the other day. Apparently some dudes did it big with automatic weapons and get away bikes and everything."

"Nah homie, I didn't hear about that one. I'll see y'all 'round."

Another cool addition, would be something like the did in Sleeping Dogs. In Sleeping Dogs, whenever you are in a car and shooting the game will slow down. I will say Sleeping Dogs slows a bit too much, but just imagine if we were able to slow time for 3-5 seconds to get off some precious shots. Call it adrenaline.

We also need climbing mechanics like those found in Uncharted, but that's pushing it. Maybe a little less than that and definitely nothing like Assassin's Creed.

We all know GTA is the master series, but that doesn't mean it can't learn a bit from other games. In some cases, it's the new GTA's that should learn from the old ones but that's another story.

In general ( summary of features from various games ):-

> Much more challenging enemy A.I with unpredictable and unscripted actions.

> Limited inventory carrying capacity

> Taking on missions in day/night, or different weather conditions MUST have an impact on Enemies A.I and overall mission design. Players should also be allowed to set their own time of day and approach to take for each mission.

> No Health Regen. No Robocops.

> Stealth improvements involving objects to distract enemies with, possible to hide bodies ( including in the trunk of vehicles ) and make the enemies follow search parameters to make them react to dead/conscious bodies and make stealth an effective option for majority of the game.

> Loads of world interactions possible

> Destructible environments and improved fire propagation system

> Improved buddy system

> f*ckin' bring more challenging and variety of RACES. Its grand theft AUTO FFS

Attributes/skills that can be learned and increased to make your character more bad-assed.

The stats in 5 seemed to make little or no difference to your gameplay. Other recent games like TLOU and Tomb Raider have done this better.

Fatalities of course.

I'll get more enjoyment of ripping the heart of Dimitri Rascalov and eating the head of Steve Haines instead of shooting them.

Besides Niko and Trevor are able to do those things.

Hmmm I think you need to explain a little more...

If we are gunna have customisable safehouses, you are gunna need architecture type of planning or something like that, for a crimina protagonist, I just don't see that working. Having a cheap/awesome customisable option by just going onto the main menu, selecting ''customise safehouse'' would be good, but totally unrealistic, also there would be criticism about it, due to the GTA franchise going to a more realistic approach.
