i personaly do not get how people with the current armor are still not capable to use the tank as a grieving tool for atleast a short amount of time to be honest

it still takes 3 random rockets and its quite easy to protect youre back against stuff(just point the front of the tank towards the enemy )

that being said, things are finaly right on the tank

and yes, i remember those times that it took a whole lobby or an other tank to destroy the first tank or a fighter jet(or a well aimed sniper bullet from a distance in the earliest of days)

Before patch 1.14 delivered an armor nerf to the tank, the tank was near-invincible. Do you remember those days?

 

Did you like it back then? Or was it a time you'd rather forget?

 

Note: I'm not asking for anything to be nerfed or buffed here. I'm just asking if people remember the days of the unnerfed tank. Nothing more than that.

I didn't like it, especially when they made it to where they didn't have to pay for blowing up your car. Now I hardly see them, which is good.

Tanks can be used for greifing but it's not that effective like it was before. The tank icon makes it worse. I'll bet that the jet bullets are gonna be nerfed.

I loved the old tank days. It was hilarious, especially in a party with mates, to be driving turn a corner then HOLY sh*t ITS A f*ckING TANK RUN!. But the whingers shouted louder than those who enjoyed it so that was taken away.

 

It was so so easy to escape one so I don't know why R* had to pander to the cry babies.

 

The Rhino has been a staple of GTA for years, along with mental cops/peds etc. But unlike back in the day where we got on with it and had fun with it, these days everyone has an opinion on the internet and for some reason R* listened instead of keeping in a classic.

 

People moan about society being dumbed down and idiot proofed, apart from when it suits them.

I was never used in riding tanks... but i miss those days as well... random player gathered 2gether to take them out... funny moments to improve your survival skills man i loved the sticky-kamikaze-cars everybody was driving around trying to crash the tank in undercover-mode. ^___^

R* completely ruined the Tank.

 

- Armour Decreased

- Turret Rotation Speed Decreased

- Tank Icon

 

The entire time it was slow moving and you could hear the Shell fire from the Tank from far enough away it could not reach you, meaning you could easily get away from it...I still feel like we deserve a refund on our Tanks as we do not have what we originally paid for.

Yeah I've rarely used my tank since it was nerfed. I liked using it for rampages with the cops but it gets wrecked far to quickly now. Considering that tanks are meant to be armoured a completed unarmoured cop car should do next to no damage if they ram you up the rear. Although the fact that cars explode when destroyed doesn't exactly help.

 

I would get rid of my tank if I could get a refund on it.

Yes I kind of miss those days, it was quite fun having huge ass crew tank battles, was fun fighting jets, because you wouldn't die from one pass.. I even had my tank glitched into my garage, I would call my mechanic, have it delivered to me anywhere and when someone killed me in it they got a bad sport and paid I think around 30k insurance lol

 

Was fun while it lasted.. Now tanks are pointless relics of old time..

Tanks can still be useful, though it helps if you've got some troops along with you to provide protection from small arms..

 

They're also damn useful against invicibility cheaters on next gen as well I've noticed...

But THEN there was always that chump who went like 1-17, and got mad at everyone else for being better than him. So they would go run away to grab a tank and RUIN THE WHOLE FIGHT for everyone.

 

Tank scrubs felt so brave in their rhinos, only to suddenly get so shy and go into passive mode after having been blown to bits, acting as if they never meant any harm and never wanted to fight in the first place -.- lol

Yes, before everyone (well judging from most people's reactions) was like 'oh sh*t, a TANK'!!!

 

Nowadays, it's like - haha a TANK! Let's go and blow it up with a few RPGs or whatever.

 

We did a 2 Vs. 2 LTS with tanks last night, the first round lasted about 2 minutes.

 

The 2nd round I got on a bike and went straight towards the tanks before turning left to get cover.

 

I was so confident about being able to destroy the tank with my RPG I didn't even bother taking proper cover after the 1st RPG behind a wall.

 

I did get blown up, but someone with an RPG could have done that as I was too close to the corner...

Best ting was heavy sniper kills of tanks from miles way... I especially enjoyed the confused screaming over the mic as their precious tank blew up and they didn't have a clue how the hell it happened..

While I didn't personally file a complaint or write Rockstar about the tanks, (I was a deal with it the way it was person) I was glad when it happened. The tank was too unbalanced for so long. What they did seemed fair enough to me, considering that it had infinite ammo, only cost $200 to get, and had no cool own period, or even limit on tank retrievals.

 

Besides, some people who were smart enough with tanks waited till they crept up on people to fire. And then they didn't fire 500 rounds in a row like a crazy person, alerting the lobby to their presence. It needed the icon.

 

I still feel like we deserve a refund on our Tanks as we do not have what we originally paid for.

 

Well condidering how the majority of folks during the billionaire days did not buy their tanks with legitimately earned cash I would say I

It don't matter much what people feel like they did or did not "pay for"

Yes, tanks were OP and nobody used the Lazer. So I could go to Fort Zancudo, grab one and grief those tank assholes.
