There's software called XBMC, you can get the programme or an actual OS and it's ideal to bang on a old 1gb ram PC. Streams from thousands of channels, not sure about the legality of it but the software was free and worked great.

There's rakes of new Android TV boxes and even USB stick sized devices that pick up streams to channels. Like ROKU which I seen in my supermarket so they must be legit!

No f*cks given by me. It may not be "right" but I absolutely don't give a sh*t when I pirate a product. But nowadays I don't do it much anyways. May download a movie here or there, watch it once then remove it. Only download music for my iPod because I always use spotify otherwise which is legal and I don't play games on PC anymore, so I buy whatever it is for the PS.

And I always stream WWE PPVs when I make the decision to watch it but considering that 99% of the time what they produce is absolutely awful, I feel good about taking the free route.

I don't pay for gas because f*ck BP

I don't pay for a big mac because McD's is too big of a company.

I stole an iPhone because apple has a high net worth

I don't pay taxes because Obama is a jerk.

I *didn't pay* for college because knowledge is power.

*shouldn't have to* You can't pirate a diploma.

I did't tip the waiter because he should bring me food regardless.

I didn't pay for dinner because I was hungry.

I want somebody to fix my computer for free because it should just work.

And if somebody works really hard to create a work of film or music I shouldn't have to pay for it either, cause the only victim is the artist who's product I enjoy.

Except for the bit I crossed out--you're a dick if you don't tip, restaurant servers are rarely paid a livable wage--none of this sounds unreasonable at all, especially when you consider that all of these products are derived from stolen labor anyway. Whether I buy a Big Mac, or somehow manage to steal one, the success of McDonald's is still based on the exploitation of it's minimum wage employees. Whether I buy an iPhone, or manage to steal one, it would not exist were it not for the slave-like conditions Foxconn. employees are forced to endure, and so on. That is the inherent nature of commodity production, and one of the most fatal contradictions of the capitalist system.

It's often amazing to me, in the sense that it's utterly absurd, how many people cling to this bourgeois morality, where commodities, the work ethic, and so on, are viewed as sacred principles, fundamental to humanity, and progress. Even if they were in a position where they--for example--fell back on bills, rent/mortgage, and other living expenses, lost their job, subsequently lost their apartment/home, were forced to live out on the street, and could not find a job because they could not enjoy the benefits of housing, they would not dare to shoplift or steal if it meant they ate that night. The commodity is above them, and something to which they must strive to attain. That is the great joy the Spectacle offers us. A love for work, akin to a slave's love for their masters chains, the hanged man's love for the hangman's rope.

In other words:

I want to feel you inside me. I think you just made me realize that one can be gay for righteousness.

When i finally exchanged my old Tube for a flat last year, i found it had a funny little open-source app called Plex, which itself has a funny little thing called an Unsupported App Store developed by parts of the userbase themselves, through which i am able to access a bunch of streaming apps with my TV remote. It requires interaction with my laptop (above mentioned ROKU would do the job too, methinks) and is shaky at times, but i gives me access to an unbelievable amount of visual media, even legally so in my country.

With Netflix only just having been made available here a few months ago, it was the perfect gift for a chronically broke media junkie such as myself. I might switch to Netflix at some point simply for quality's sake, which btw. is what i witness in many people i know who used to get their content for free.

As for regrets, there are none. I simply wasn't willing to wait for content to make its way over here a year or two later, in terribly dubbed versions and on a tv-station's timetable.

I have no other option. I can only use 300$ every year and I have to choose certain things I can buy. Still, I try to keep my games legit, like the GTAs and CoDs so I can play online.

File sharing is fine if you have a license to share that particular file. Is it open source or something you made or has been allowed to be shared in any means? By all means, share it. Nothing wrong with that.

Now talking about illegal filesharing, then it is wrong and it is stealing. There's no shade of gray or nothing, it's a crime. "Oh but I can't afford entertainment!" too bad, find something else to be entertained on. There was life before TV shows and games, you know? You are not entitled to games, entertainment, movies or anything. It cost something to produce that content, and the less return the creators get, the more expensive it will be to create those things and distribute, and those who can afford those goods end up paying more because of pirates.

You might want a Ferrari, but you wouldn't go out and steal one. You might want to have dinner at that super expensive place, but you wouldn't go and dine and dash them. You might want to have sex with that high priced prostitute, but you wouldn't rape her and murder to avoid payment. "Ah but it's digital, so it's not stealing! They still have and endless supply of files and can make any copies they want!" True, but you're not stealing the file, the good, the property: you are stealing the license. You didn't purchase a license to use that product, therefore you are stealing it. Simple as that. No semantics, nothing.

Oh and I come from a 3rd world country where piracy is always rampant. I always bought my console games legit and watched the series on cable and movies on theaters. Some TV shows I wanted to watch and they weren't available in my country; tough luck, I'd buy the DVD when it came out or do something else. And games, I'm in the game industry, I know how much effort it is to make a game, only to have a bunch of people play it without buying or supporting the developer, under the stupid logic of "oh I wouldn't have bought it anyway, so they didn't lose a sale" except you still get to enjoy the fruits of their labor for free. I was extremely disappointed when one of my uncles, a hospital director who is pretty loaded, asked me which console to buy for his son, on the basis of "which one had the easiest and largest number of pirated games".

So yeah, legal filesharing is fine and awesome. The moment you cross into piracy, however, you're a criminal. You can rationalize it all you want, you're still taking advantage of someone else's work for free under your banner of entitlement and I hope you burn in hell.

Oh, and you ALWAYS have an option or alternative: to not consume what you haven't properly paid for. But those companies are big anyway, so f*ck them, right?

-Compares illegal downloading to raping and murdering a prostitute

-Calls Japan, which is a, if not the, technologically leading nation of the world, a 3rd world country

-Wants for people to burn in hell for filesharing

Not only is your moral compass so screwed that, instead of pointing North, it points to North Korea, but you also very much display the arrogance of someone who never had to live off a tight budget or worse.

Also, wishing burning hell on someone for a misdemeanor; what the f*ck is wrong with you, you inhumane psychopath? Ever heard of the basic principle in Law that the punishment must always be in proportion to the crime? How would you react to someone who steals, lets say, a cd? Cutting off his hands? if so, i know of some people you'd feel right at home with. You might even know them already, they've been present in the media quite a lot lately with their special brand of justice.

seriously dude... check yourself.

I'll download a TV series to see what it's like. If I enjoy it I then purchase the DVD box set. :)
