Trouble with gta and psn online

Recommended Posts

Whenever I try to play gta v while signed into PSN at the loading screen it will freeze. If I'm signed out it will load into sp just fine but if I sign back in while in story the option to play online says that I need to be signed in, even though I already am. Eventually it will freeze. Gta will work fine until I'm singed in. No other games have this problem. I have already deleted the game data utility and that took ages to download ( game instal and updates ) but it didn't help once it finished. If I take the disc out after freezing the ps3 resets like Normal. I have also tried resetting my modem and that won't help. I also tried deleting just the update and still took ages without helping at all. Unlinking my account didn't help either. Thanks for any help

.

Forgot today that I I was play offline story ( without signing in ) for a good hour, and then signed in and I froze upon leaving the XMB

OP, let me tell you something. GTA 5 killed 2 blu-ray drives on my PS3, one drive could be questionable, since it was my original fat console that was 6 years old. But the other drive it killed was off a brand new slim I had in the box. That one died in about 10 weeks after it was taken out of the box. GTA 5 was the only game I played on that specific console, so no other game I own could have been to blame. Luckily I can do my own repairs, and the the drives cost only $60 dollars apiece.

EDIT: I forgot to add. If you're getting constant hard freezes, no matter if you're online or in SP, chances are the blu-ray drive is on it's way out. Especially if you freeze, and you hear a disc skipping sound coming from the drive.
