So do you think they will FIX the police "acting stupid" in PC

Ok OP, have the Police in GTA ever acted anything but stupid?

If so please enlight me, but I dont Think you and I playd the same game;)

But to answer your question, no I dont Think the fixed anything from console to PC, they have just adapted the Controls, and pushed up the graphic, nothing more nothing less.

I could care less what you think, there is a lot of PROOF like the video above that the AI in the cops is making them do really stupid things.

So why are fanboy's like you so against getting something fixed?

Stupid of you to say..."well just accept it!"

Sorry, you may...but I do not!

Webe; Im just stating facts, and knowing R* they will not fix stuff for us "PC-users", they just want to earn some extra bucks on us.

And the GTA has never been a Police chaser simulater, When you do a crime they spawn Close to you location and start a chase.

And to get something fixed, I could Dream, but knowing R*, you have to accept the fact, they dont care about PC-users. And if you wanted somthing to get fixed, Then you need to be a forum where the DEVS are involved. Have you ever seen a Dev in this forum, or a R* PR-person?

They won't fix it.

But , i think it could be fixed after the release by scripts/mods.

The only people who will fix this stuff are the Modding Community. The developers of this game, at this rate, obviously don't give a sh*t.

I'm calling it now - a lot of people are going to be left disappointed, because a lot of people unrealistically expect a lot of stuff getting addressed and fixed, which R* usually isn't even concerned about or its not in their priorities list! People never learn! Its always like that, the most requested issues are usually the ones, that are always missed or are left for the last, when lots of other minor random stuff (you won't ever probably even notice, when you play your game) are always picked as prioritized over those, which are really needed! In that sense, R* now reminds me of Bethesda more and more! Most of their games as big as they might seem are broken and unplayable due to tons of bugs and they're among the leaders, when it comes to developers, who ignore those most immersion breaking and core game bugs, but rather fix something, nobody even notice! R* seem to really come closer to Bethesda more and more with each release in that department lately!

This video pretty much covers the how bad Police AI is and how they are "cheating".Also other stuff like police cars disappearing when turned away.

I would be surprised if R* made any improvements from the New-gen Consoles.

The "pistol-sniping" isn't an issue or excuse to tar and feather the cops AI, it's much better than the dumb AI from IV that can't shoot us for f*ck sake. Or is it only you who can pistol-snipe people around. Casual players like you are what ruins nowadays games, what about stop crying and learning to shoot on the f*cking game?

I can already see R* making the GTA VI cops AI like the groove street gangsters when they join with a CJ, an AI that literally misses 9/11 shots on a target that is 3 meters aways from them (detail: when you bump their cars, they hit the shots on you from 4127864 meters)

It's got literally f*ck all to do with people being "casuals" or not being good at the game. I've played the sh*t out of GTAO's contact missions (pretty much the only thing I did besides the occasional race with friends) and have a character that is over Level 120. I'm an excellent shot as I am on pretty much any game with guns, but the A.I. in this game is f*cking stupid and full of artificial difficulty. It's not just the cops, it's all NPC's in general that can have firearms. They'll snipe you from the ground with SMG's beyond their effective range if you're even in a helicopter going 60+ mph. Don't even get me started on their insane accuracy whilst inside of a vehicle, I've lost count of the amount of times I got insta-gibbed from full health/armor in a nanosecond from those sh*t-bags in the vehicles.

There's nothing challenging whatsoever about A.I. with jesus-tier accuracy who can snipe you through bushes, through walls, through smoke, with unerring accuracy that would make The f*cking Terminator himself blush somehow. There's nothing challenging about enemy bots who literally spawn (silently) behind you while you're staving off the entire Soviet Union by yourself and then insta-gibbing you before you could do anything about it.

I'm not sure if you've actually played GTAO or GTAV before but the A.I's accuracy in both were ridiculous. Much moreso in GTAO than GTAV. I didn't have too many problems in GTAV because you had much more health than you do in GTAO (in GTAO, a "heavy armor" can only withstand two blows from a Hello Kitty pillow before completely disintegrating), but the enemies could still hit you from ridiculous ranges, especially with weapons they shouldn't even be able to hit you with from said distances.

The wanted level escape system is even worse because of the blatant cheating from the A.I. The helicopter cops are BS and the main reason why it can take ages to escape a 3+ star wanted level most of the time. Cops blatantly spawn in groups down any street you're headed to even if you're in caution mode (for lack of a better term, the mode where you're out of their immediate line of sight and the invisible countdown timer starts ticking for your "escape"), and slowly but surely always gravitate towards you're exact location if you're hiding, even if you went to an absurdly obscure location with no one who witnessed you go to said place.

Basically, the A.I. in the game are overpowered in an artificially difficult manner in many ways and it's absurd anyone could try to defend it.

Microsoft made lots of Flight sims for PC and kept it open to MODS look at the FSX and look at the addons like Heathrow Airport FSX or PMDG 777 aircraft Addon, a lot more realistic addon for the game. It's open world too as in the whole world

If they don't, the answer will always be MODS. But it'll be really easy to do just editing pedstats file.

Seems like Rockstar is lazy. In GTA IV there were situations where policeman would hold someone at gunpoint then direct him to nearest cop car or steal civilian one. In V they just fire at will. The video above also shows things like AI trying to ram player because of bad detection. It makes me wonder, why AI is always thinking that player wants to hit it and they try to avoid instead of ignoring player actions (because who in real life expects that someone will try to ram him?). Also the things like spawning an NPC in a car then changing his appearance after he gets far away instead of game properly tagging that person appearance so that he may despawn but respawn with same skin color etc. Also the reflections of static world and blurry car mirrors. I hope in PC those things will be fixed because right now the GPUs are the main bottlenecks, and newest CPUs usually are working on 50-60% on ultra settings in many games. Rockstar has plenty of space to improve AI in game through simple scripts.

The cops in GTA V are pistol snipers with the aggressiveness of a hornet. they dont even attempt to arrest you. just shoot to kill. even if you get in a fight with an npc.

Cops AND NPCs...got sniped by an NPC who was using a pistol, sitting sideways in a boat. So fricking pathetic.

And you don't even need to fire a shot; I got a wanted level from barely bumping into an NPC in a convienience store; she says, "In England, we apologize for that" (yeah, really funny R*); I follow her at a distance, she says she's going to call the cops...sure enough, a one-star wanted level. I never hit her, never even pulled out a weapon.

...oh yes, and got a one-star wanted level driving a yellow gang Peyote past the police station. Other than stealing the car (with zero NPCs after me), and nothing wrong with my driving normally past the police station, it should have never happened...but it sometimes does, and it must be fixed.

...and then there are the four- and five-star wanted levels that come and go on their own while you're deep inside a tunnel, without moving...you'll get shot inside the tunnel by ghost police roaming around above the tunnel; can sometimes see NOOSE ropes and spotlights literally coming through the tunnel roof.

Whomever at R* is responsible for this El Torro crap needs their butt seriously kicked...and seriously kicked some more.

I often wonder if the Nazi-Terminator police aren't intentional from R* to encourage draining/usage of money via Lester's "Remove Wanted Level" (which also sometimes fails to remove all the stars, rendering it useless) and coerced purchases of the infamous "Super Heavy" sacks of Jell-O they like to pass off as "armor". Even past level 120, when you can store nine at a time, it takes very little to drain most of them in the course of a typical session. Which, BTW, you will instantly forfeit any "in use" (blue bar) armor if you exit Online or change sessions.

And I thought only Watch Dogs was badly borked.

Silly me.

were you playing online? Stealing cars in gta online and not changing the plates will get you a wanted level

I don't see any problem here, GTA V has a lot of flaws on the realism of the physics, but it catched the wanted level system nicely. If you steal someone's car in real life, the first information that the cops will ask about the car is its plate, then the car will be wanted and recognized by the cops via its plate.

There is nothing wrong here, it's just you can't handle a realistic AI behaviour and can't learn to play the game by its rules.

I don't know if the bullets on GTA V are insta-hit, but if they takes some time to reach its target, then R* has done the same thing to the NPCs as Bethesda has done with ranged casters.on Skyrim.

In Skyrim, the NPCs calculates your run speed, then they launches their skills at a position foward from yours and they end hitting us with 100% of precision IF WE CONTINUE RUNNING TO THE SAME DIRECTION AFTER THEY CASTING THEIR SPELLS. The way I could find to avoid this was tricking them by running to a different position after they launches their spells.

GTA V seems to not go much away from this perspective. It maybe harder to do so on GTA V because the bullets seems to be insta-hit on close range, but if it takes some time to the bullets reach its target at some distance (even if it's 1 second), they'll try to guess your ~1s future position and shoot at that empty place. Just don't keep going straight and take some curves/alleyways and do some zig-zags and problem solved. R* has just added brains to their AI, but I must agree that 35% from the gangsters and 80% from the normal civilians shouldn't have this knowledge. A gangster is a dumb person that didn't completed the 4th grade, they don't even know how to add 4+4.

I understand that games like GTA are low brow and hardly attracts the brightest of players but damn the games community takes stupidity to unseen levels, it is not just the die hard fanboys. I thought the Skyrim crowd was the worst of the worst with their delusions but they at least tried to make excuses when confronted with factual and visual evidence that came with criticism.

Yes the A.I in gta is terrible in general and rockstar took a lot of short cut to make it "challenging". It's ridiculous how aggressive they are and how there is no self preservation at all.BUT I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with cutting corners because no A.I will ever be a match for a human opponent but there needs to be balance.

The police in GTA V are the worst. Sure in past GTA's they were bad, but in V, they really piss me off. They are smarter in V which is good, but in some ways, they are practically cheating.

Here is a rundown of the things that need to change about the cops in V.

-No bursts of speed for cop cars. Cops get bursts of speed, and when the cops drive, vehicles should handle the same for them as they do when you drive them.

-Increase spawn distance so cops don't practically spawn on top of you.

-Animals being able to report you. What the f*ck. Who ever thought that was a good thing to put in the game is mentally retarded, and I will be changing that when I get my hands on the PC version.

-Cops shouldn't automatically be able to always know where you are. It seems like there are times where the cops always know right where I am.

-Cops shouldn't use lethal force on a 1 star wanted level. They should try and arrest you. They should use their nightsticks on a 1 star.

-Cops should spawn in GTA Online. They only spawn at police stations, or when you have a wanted level.

-Cops shouldn't chase you for having a non personal vehicle in GTA Online.

cops dont use lethal force for 1 star... on singleplayer that is

I at least hope they fix this some day, next to animals reporting you:

The problem there wasn't the dialogue, it's that the cops automatically arrest you if you stand next to them for more than a few seconds. It's annoying and should be fixed.

I agree, the guy in the video complains as if Rockstar devs are the laziest and GTA 5 has the worst police ever and stuff .By no means they are the laziest when you consider how much time they must have spent decorating landscapes and little details in it.When there is a game of this scale there is bound to be issues like this.At least R* included a feature to remove Stars instantly on GTA:online. In my opinion there are issues worse than this GTA 5.

I still think Skyrim is the largest. Actually, if you are referring to a franchise as a whole then Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim combined far exceeds any other modding community. Just from Nexus website alone, all three combined have about 70,000 mod submissions. Steam Workshop has an additional 75,000 mod submissions for just Skyrim. A lot may be similar or duplicate uploads between each site, but still far exceeds all GTA games combined. And we all know both games probably equally have very bad mods as well. However, GTA mods are more texture based, while Skyrim mods kind of cover just about anything. I'm not saying there aren't a lot of great mods for GTA games, but Elder Scrolls community is still far ahead. If R* supported modding and gave us modding tools like Bethesda has, then GTA V would definitely have one of the biggest modding communities ever.

I agree

but its strange

Bethesda is pretty much bigger than RG and they allow players to mod their games ?

That means : mainly PC publisher > mainly Console publisher

they know a game with mods sells well and constant

I hope for some PC love from Rockstar in their next games

For now i just want Grand Theft Auto V vanilla in 60>Fps, mouse and keyboard, anti aliasing and dedicated online servers

Hope to see good mods too

Unfortunately, I can see R* discouraging modders because they are relying on GTA:O to make them money now and in the future. This may be a stretch, but the more mods we have the more we will just play single player and less online. Less players online = less potential profit.

RG dont need Grand Theft Auto: Online to make enough "profit"

Their games were always Singleplayer concentrated

and its not hardly surprising

these games sold very well

Mod support from Rockstar would be awesome and i can see them encourage it

He's saying given R*'s track record and recent behavior it is possible that They would prevent Mods, especially in Online, because with mods people have no reason to buy the shark cards. Admit it. GTA Online has been a BETA that puts too much focus on in-game currency and buying stuff.
