If and only if Vice City is next it'll blow Liberty City and Los Santos out of the water... Period.miami.jpgmiami1.jpg

Also, imagine a Rockstar re-imagined spoof on the Everglades. It would be awesome. A lot of rednecks live out there and if you thought Blaine County was strange in V than just imagine a Rockstar version of the Everglades in the outskirts of Vice City (way out).

Airboat tours anyone through the swamps?Gator_Park-Miami-FL-320c879cd963492e9265

Unfortunately they would focus on the underwater and we probably wont get interiors. Also the city would be undetailed and the everglades area will have a highway going through it.

I never once had the friends take away their abilities. Does that even happen? I mean, if it does, you'd have to almost purposely lose the abilities. And (like MVC told me some time ago) you can always accept to hangout, and then cancel plans to not lose any like status at all. Great trick, if hanging out really bothers you.

The twelve-year-olds would be crying and cash-card money wouldn't be coming in.

Also the old fan base would be around, not allowing dicks of paid re-releases and year and a half delayed heists to be shoved up their asses.

It happened rarely in my game. Additionally, I had a weekly roster for my friend activities, so it wasn't an issue.

If it would be anything like GTAIV, i wouldn't even touch it! Sure thing IV has a few things done better than V, but IV in comparison to V with all its flaws is a complete disaster! If there is any GTA game, V shouldn't be like - its IV! Thank God that cars don't have those boat-like handling! Thank God the tone isn't now completely serious and realistic! Thank God there is Trevor! I can go on and on! The points you named are actually those, which V is much stronger at as a matter of fact! Like i said if there are few things IV is stronger at - its ANYTHING, BUT these points!...I would rather them to take San Andreas 3D era direction completely, with MOST (if not every single) activity, city, weapon, vehicle returning from San Andreas!...As a matter of fact i think V is not "crazy/unrealistic" enough in that sense, that most of you people put into meaning of the "realism" around these forums! And its not necessary means Saints Row series kind of "crazy/unrealistic" or how some people call it "whacky", its more about 3D era GTA titles, kind of crazy/unrealistic! Because 3D era GTA titles if you remember them, had their borderline of crazyness, that it never crossed, so it wouldn't turn into complete unrealistic mess, like Saints Row, while the same time remaining far from being realistic!...This is a perfect spot, that in my opinion V should have hit and at which it is lacking!...okay i'll admit there are a few things in V that are clearly out of place, like alien hallucinations, Rail Gun or turning into animals and a few more, but still, the game doesn't emphasis on those, those things are more like distraction, than focus, so i could forgive it, as long as it doesn't bring back all the whacky stuff of Saints Row series, like superpowers, guns shooting mollusks, replacing police with alien forces, not-real/matrix world etc...

On my last playthrough I lost Dwayne's back up only because I didn't really hang out with him and it was on the fringe, but it wasn't an issue getting it back.

During most playthroughs I usually get each friends' like/respect to 100% and even if I don't hang out with them for long periods of time the likelyhood of losing their perk is really low since the meters deplete at a slow rate.

One thing is ridiculous in V, which i just can't get over yet! Its how ground vehicles behave, when you do stunt jumps and fall off anything in general! Its almost like the law of physics wouldn't apply on them and they're all like there is zero gravity, fly unrealistically long distances and such...

The game would be much worse. Do you remember how IV was received originally? People thought it was too grimdark and edgy. Everyone wanted the silliness back, and don't tell me that this game is too silly because that's wrong and you know it. Rockstar tried listening to fans and the fans ended up trying to f*ck them over again. It's almost like they aren't actually fans, isn't that strange?

They just try way too hard! All they had to do, is setting priorities right, when choosing what things to bring back from old games and what things put into recycle bin! That is the problem! They choose too many stuff from both IV and SA to cut it from the game and that honestly doesn't make any sense! And what did they do? They added Rail Gun! A freaking Rail Gun, its like WTF?! LOL Its not a Quake or Red Faction for a God's sake, so why there is a Rail Gun?! Wouldn't bringing back Flamethrower make much bigger sense? Or Katana? Or Chainsaw?...And how about Vigilante missions? Pimping, Career working? Trucking??...too many stuff being prioritized over the stuff i mentioned!

I can see where you're coming from. I think they're avoiding doing things like that so they can't be criticized for rehashing the same things over and over again. I feel like they try to make each game it's own entity, to make it stand out via it's own merit rather than riding the coat-tails of the previous games while simultaneously keeping same base gameplay elements the same and improving on them with each subsequent release. Each GTA game has it's own feeling, a sort of uniqueness that keeps things fresh. Look at call of duty and how the lack of innovation and keeping nearly everything the same has only done bad things for the franchise

i think it was better if it was more realistic they made a great effort to make it fun and over the top that they kinda forgot about delivering a better story and for me it dosent have the same replay value as any of the other previous game even when i start a new game here it dosent feel the same as i felt when i started a new game in the previous games especially iv san andreas and vice city

I feel the same way, after doing story mode on PS3, I just don't care to do it again on PS4 at all, I just load into online.

Then it would be boring like IV. It was very easy to hate Steve and Devin. Unlike Pegerino who you don't even meet until 3/4 of the game is done.

And everybody except Franklin is perfect. And money actually has a purpose in this.

That's funny, because V got boring fast for me, the story was not interesting (most of it that FIB crap) and there were almost no side missions to do with crime. As for Steve and Devin, I never really hated them because I never even knew they were antagonists until the end of the game, they were that weak and ineffective. Money had a purpose in V, but it was so half-hearted that Rockstar might as well not have bothered. Buying businesses that took months to get cash profit returns on, and you couldn't even enter the premises of your own business !

None of the protagonists on V were perfect, far from it. In fact, the most forgettable set of characters in the GTA series in my opinion.

That's never happened to me in all my 7 years of playing IV.

To me the problem with V was that they went way too overboard with the focus on one element, i.e, the level of details and the sheer scope of the game world despite the technical limitations, and thus V in comparison to IV felt more dumbed down on certain areas to the point where they got worse.

I think GTA V would have really benefitted a lot by respecting the fact about the technical constraints and giving more focus towards long running issues like vehicle storage, adding more features and quality content than cutting more features and having other restrictions etc.

I've already played IV, I'm glad we got a totally different experience, atmosphere and vibe. If they'd released a direct sequel, even with different characters, it could potentially have been boring as hell.

But what does it matter? This thread is just going to end up with a line down the middle, IV zealots on one side, people that like V (and IV) on the other. Can we have a thread that doesn't cause knee-jerk defensive bullsh*t for once please?

Signatures are dumb anyway.

If it continued in the same vein as IV. I really don't think it would be any where as successful as it is now.

The game would be full of rinse and repeat, go here, kill bad guys missions.

And as much complaints there are at the moment on these forums, there would have been hell of a lot more if they didn't switch up the formula

It would be a better and a more fleshed out game. Also, it would have better side missions and a more likeable story. Los Santos would have more life to it and have more interiors as well. Car physics would have been at least better than IV did but they half assed it. V is a good game, but the more you play it, the more boring it is.

Mate, good luck with that.

Anyway, I don't log on to this forum much anymore- chalk that up to some personal stuff that's taking up much of my time ATM, and, well, the general whining and sh*t-postery plagued all over this section that makes the thought of jumping off a skyscraper and landing onto a saddle-less bicycle seem like a more appealing pleasantry to devote vital spare hours towards- but I see the usual handful of people are still complaining about the same sh*t, 17 MONTHS after the game's release, no less.

I mean, I understand some of the newer members joining up who may have just played V for the first time, especially after the current-gen release, wanting to voice their gripes and grievances, but do those who have been doing this for the aforementioned amount of time seriously not get tired with this? What exactly are they trying to achieve...this is an actual question.

I thought Watch_dogs was one of the biggest piece-of-sh*t letdowns I've had the misfortune to waste 40 quid on, yet I'm not on a WD forum- or any gaming forum for that matter- repeating myself like a drugged-up parrot nearly a year after its release.

IV was an awesome game. V was an even better game. Why do I feel this way? Because I don't allow myself to get hung up on this element or that feature to the point it ruins my experience of a new installment in this great series. To those of you who do allow it: my sincere sympathies, as I genuinely feel sorry that you don't get the same enjoyment I do. I loved the wackiness of the III-era games, and I loved the more serious route R* took with IV in equal measure. V was the perfect combination of both for me, so it was a win/win situation. As long as GTA continues to be an open-world, action-adventure game with a theme of crime, I don't care what new stuff they bring to the table for us to explore, toy-around with, and most importantly, have FUN with. R* has yet to disappoint me with the GTA franchise; sure, I have my minor complaints here and there, but as far as fun and entertainment goes, you know, the kind of things that games are supposed to be about to escape the stress and pressures of adult life that some of you are probably too young to understand yet, this series continues to get stronger and stronger.

And for those who claim GTA V is a retirement simulator: Do your grandparents spend their pensions on setting up bank heists and drug deals or something?...

This right here. This says so much. We have several daily-posters that fit this to a tee, but will never admit that their constant argumentative and complaint-filled posts are actually destroying what this board used to be - a great, united community.

If you don't like it, don't play it and stop complaining. We know your complaints, we know your feelings. Please, let us actually discuss V, rather than fight the same f*cking fights every day.

There are bands and artists who I no longer listen to or who in my mind stopped making good music but I don't go on their forums insulting their fans and calling anybody with a positive word to say a fanboy. I don't understand people who invest that much time and energy on something they don't even like.

The police would be better, and not over the top.

Not to mention they'd actually arrest NPCs and wouldn't have ridiculous rubber banding to catch modified supercars at top speed.Random Cop NPC: *Points gun at NPC* "Whats this, stolen credit cards?"

The cop would actually escort him to the cop car. Tiny details like that is what made IV special.

I once saw an NPC jump out of the cop car and escape. It was hilarious.

This is still being talked....

I was surprised at the fact on how much people hated IV at the type it was launched, and now that V is out, IV has turned into this game that is called by fanboys in this forum as ''realistic'' and much more ''realistic'' than V, and whatever.

I always thought this was just, and well it is stupid fanboism. I won't go any further with this statement, because if I really showed by my argument and all I am proabably gunna get banned or getting another lousy PM from a mod saying ''tone down the language please'' or some othe half a**ed crap.
