Vintage 10-car garage - What's in it?

Just for fun, I decided to fill one of my 10-car garages with examples of the oldest commonly available vehicles in the GTA-V universe.

I set the following parameters for the collection: I excluded all vehicles that can’t be garaged under normal circumstances. I excluded the Hot Knife and the Roosevelt, since they aren’t readily available to all players, and I excluded two-wheel vehicles.

I think almost all of us will agree on the first four or five vehicles, but then it starts to get tricky.

So here’s my current line-up, beginning with the oldest, and my best guess of the model years.

  1. Bravado Rat Truck (Circa 1930) The Rat Loader is essentially the same vehicle, so either one works.

  2. Truffade Z-Type (Circa 1938)

  3. Bravado Dune Loader (Circa 1940)

  4. Vapid Slam Van (Circa 1954)

  5. Vapid Peyote (Circa 1956)

  6. Declasse Tornado (Circa 1957)

So here are some of my dilemmas in trying to complete the garage:

The BF Injection may belong earlier in the list, based primarily on its split rear window, which would make it at least an early-to-mid 1950s VW Beetle. However, some “Baja” bugs of the ‘60s and ‘70s were retro-fitted with split rear windows to reduce breakage during off-roading.

According to its description at Legendary Motorsports, the Grotti Stinger was first manufactured in 1960. Based on this information, it’s logical to assume that the original “ragtop” version of the Stinger is Circa 1960, so it will probably be in the garage (which sucks, because I don’t really care for the car, and it costs $850K!)

The Declasse Voodoo is basically a 1960 Chevy Impala.

The Vapid Blade is basically a 1964 Ford Falcon.

The BF Surfer approximates an early-to-mid 1960s VW Bus.

The Dewbauchee JB-700 is basically called-out as a 1965 model.

Other possibilities:

  1. Invetero Coquette Classic

  2. Pegassi Monroe

  3. Cheval Picador

  4. Albany Buccaneer

  5. Declasse Sabre Turbo

So what do you think? What did I miss? What are the ten oldest vehicles in the game?

Are you looking for just the oldest cars in GTA or are you looking to make a nice garage with old cars?

For the latter I'd pick these 10:

1. Rat Truck

2. Slamvan

3. Z Type

4. Stinger / Stinger GT

5. Monroe

6. JB700

7. Duneloader

8. Blade

9. Toronado

10. Coquette Classic

Huh....I just learned something new today.

It all depends on how you define 'vintage'. Up to late '60s/early '70s:

Roosevelt - depression era ('20s-'30s) Cadillac

Hotknife - '20s-'30s classic hotrod

your top 3

Surfer - '50s VW Van

Injection - '40s-'60s VW Beetle

your 4-6

JB 700 - 60s Aston

Coquette Classic - '60s Vette

Pigalle - '60s-'70s Maserati

Stinger/Stinger GT - '60s-'70s Ferrari/Alpha

Monroe - '60s-'70s Lambo (Miura)

Sabre Turbo/Stallion - '60s-'70s Dodge/Oldsmobile

Hotknife is available to all players in next-gen, and not having a Roosevelt in your collection makes your collection worthless

Left Side

1. Z-Type

2. Hotknife

3. Stinger GT

4. Tornado

5. BF Surfer

Right Side

6. Coquette Classic

7. Blade

8. JB-700

9. Rat

10. Roosevelt

I always feel sad when walking into someone's garage and all they have are super and sports cars, all gathered in a desperate attempt to try and impress people with how much money they've spent... Real class and taste, can only be had through the collection and restoration of classics! ;)

Get out there and save a classic car today!

Sad but true... R* really screwed those that weren't able to get the Roosevelt the first (and apparently only)time it was available and those that dropped all that cash on the C.E. only to have those exclusive cars release to everyone on new gen.

The problem was the single garage, with no prospect of more space, which many high level players (i.e. most of those that could afford the Roosevelt in the first place) weren't willing to give up for a 'fun but not at all useful/practical' car like that. Now that the times have changed, and we have more leeway with our car choices, it sucks that much more not being able to own one.

Well, I'm not on CG, and I'm not convinced that the Hot Knife isn't primarily based on the late '90s Chrysler/Plymouth Prowler anyway. Also, I own a Roosevelt, but since it isn't readily available to all players, I excluded it.

Anyway, thanks all for the recommendations. I think I'm going to finish it with the Stinger, Voodoo, JB-700 and Surfer.

I've ridden in both a Prowler and a '32 Ford in real life.

The Hotknife shares no similarities with a Prowler aside from the vaguely similar apperance.

Yeah, because it's made of pixels. (And just for the record, the grill tells me it's a '33 Ford.)

Grab those beater piece of metal around Sandy Shores.

Tornado, Voodoo, Emperor, and Surfer. That adds 3 more into your garage.

And nobody mentions Manana???

Geez. Manana needs more love.

That's BS, anyone could have started a 2nd character and got 10 more spaces

You could have made the $850 in about 3 hours back then grinding missions

If you didn't think the Roosevelt was worthy of one of your 20 spaces, you don't deserve one.

If you don't have one, don't bother with a vintage or sports classic garage

The Sabre Turbo is a Chevy Chevelle/Oldsmobile cutlass hybrid, not Dodge, but other than that, this is what you want OP.

I keep my Muscle cars and Sports Classics in separate garages, and I classify the hot rod trucks all as muscle

Z Type.

And, as mentioned, Roosevelt. And f*ck 'em in the neck for not being on a year ago, or if they are for not being willing to devote 1/10th of their storage to one. You got it, flaunt it.

Isn't the Z-Type based off of a 1937 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic? So it would be the oldest right?

The Roosevelt is based on a 1928 Cadillac limo so it would be the oldest car,

I think the Duster based on a 1926 Stearman C2 would be the oldest vehicle online unless you glitched the 1923 John Deere in from SP
