How to get the Vapid Speedo (Heist Va

One day long ago I made a thread asking how to get the Vapid Speedo van in GTAO, and some very nice people told me how. None of those methods worked, so I decided to go on Youtube (The Ultimate GTAO Guide) and search it up. I found this method and wanted to share it with all you people of the GTAF community.

 

The Speedo: The Vapid Speedo is the van used in the Paleto Bay Bank Heist in SP. It also won Car of the Year 2014 and Car of the Year 2013 awards and is striving to succeed Car of the Year 2015 @ 3 years in a row.

 

Important: Firstly I'd like to say that I'v actually done this just recently (2/16/15) and it does work as of the date stated. This method does require you to have a garage and does also allow you to equip a tracker + insurance to your new Vapid Speedo. Before you start: You will need to have potshot unlocked and playable. I recommend getting the Potshot Playlist that can be downloaded from the R*SC for all 4 consoles. It helps if you play the mission on easy difficulty so that there is less chance of dying.

 

The Method:

Step 1 - Start up the mission "Potshot" via playlist or going to the trigger on the map. (NOTE: You cannot start Potshot from the Jobs menu so you do need either a playlist, or have to start the mission on foot at the trigger)

Step 2 - Make sure you have a good amount of ammo for your weapons before beginning. It helps to have some shotgun ammo and some Assault Rifle ammo. You can do this mission with a friend, but make sure he knows that your doing this method so that he doesn't finish the mission before you finish the method.

 

Step 3 - Once you start Potshot, follow the GPS and go to the objective, stop at the bridge however.

 

Step 4 - Once at the bridge, kill the 2 enemies guarding the bridge and park your car so that the bridge is blocked

 

Step 5 - Wait for the White Vapid Speedo to come driving at you (It should not be able to pass your car, since its blocking the bridge)

 

Step 6 - Kill the Van Driver

 

Step 7 - Drive to the location shown below in the White Vapid Speedo. Make sure you do not deliver the Van to Trevor's trailer and do not let the van explode (that will cause you to fail the mission)

 

Step 8 - There should be a another Vapid Speedo (The van that you keep) parked there, steal it and take it to your garage

 

Step 9 - Park the Vapid Speedo you stole in your garage

Step 10 - Go to your phone and select "Job List"

 

Step 11 - Click Potshot and press X (I dont know the button on Playstation but its the Left face button)

 

Step 12 - Enjoy your speedo

 

From there you can take your Speedo to the Los Santos Customs and equip it with insurance. Unfortunatly you cannot cutomize the car.
