Removing/Altering Contact Missions & Etc.

Recently I've noticed that every time there's a new wave of scrubs playing GTA, if you aren't with a 4-Player squad of your own friends, you're pretty much screwed on half the missions you play. I don't really play that much GTA V anymore due to the lack of activities limiting 12 year olds to attacking you while you're in a clothing store. But when I do come on and try out contact missions so I can make some proper bank for my rides, 3 level 1-50 idiots accompany me, and I end up being the one man army while I'm attempting to take out 30+ bikers with auto aim and infinite range. A couple examples of this are Rooftop Rumble and High Priority Case (the one with the briefcase at the top of the skyscraper i think) and it's kinda ridiculous how unreliable some of these people can be in those situations.

 

I myself haven't purchased a helicopter even though I'm level 150 but I usually manage when someone else has a buzzard. I always use my 2nd character, but my 1st character used to have everything useful with merryweather and for some reason all of my vehicles were removed at some point in time. I play pretty reliably at points even though I'm the type to go in head first and get taken out most of the time so my teammates can gain an advantage. But what I'm talking about is not really the difficulty of some of these missions, but their compatibility with idiots. How the hell are these people supposed to play Heists when they can't even wipe their own ass with these broken fingers that they use to play the game? Rooftop Rumble is ridiculous by now. Everyone plays it. Every single day. Half the people on GTA Online pick Rooftop Rumble after they go into a lobby and invite everyone. It doesn't even pay that much anymore either. I can think of like, 20 contact missions that pay twice the rate if you complete them in the same time, but for some reason, even though R* nerfed it to sh*t, people still insist on sending you 80 invites to it. It's ridiculous. I don't think R* has ever deleted a mission, and I think they should start.

 

There are a couple other missions that are ridiculous too, like that one where Lester makes you get a cargobob from the military base and then you have to improvise with all of this stupid sh*t like using that forklift or whatever to move that crate so you can actually grab it. If your team isn't your closest online buddies, you pretty much have half the chance of completing the mission than if you were, and that's still pretty ridiculous considering the auto aim. I'm not implying that the game is too hard or whatever, but I do think that a couple of the missions need to be removed completely or made a tiny bit easier and with better instructions, because a lot of them are just broken in general, and nothing besides survivals, which take a sh*tload of time and patience, pay more than contact missions, or wasting your time looking for money glitches on youtube.

 

Before I leave it at that, I'm going to mention one more thing. There's a stupid thing about contact missions and I don't know if this applies to NG because I'm on PS3, but when I Quick Job a Contact Mission, I expect to have more Contact Missions available afterward, and it's rather inconvenient that a lot of the time when I actually complete the damn thing, I have to do one of those retarded parachute races, or a regular stupid race before I can do another. That's not even the worst part. Whenever that sh*t happens, and there are no Contact Missions, 75% of the time, everybody leaves, because people who were looking for Contact Missions don't want to do a race, but if you wanted to play a continuous amount of races, they're always available. I'm pretty sure this is one of R*s "clever" ways to annoy the living sh*t out of people so that they buy cash cards, but at this point with all of these idiots not being able to go 2 minutes into the easiest mission in the game, it's pretty difficult to manage not turning off the game and getting pissed off on something else.

 

But back to the main point.

 

Do you have any Contact Missions/Other Missions that you want removed for your own reasons?

 

Do you think Rooftop Rumble, etc. should be removed from the game or drastically changed?

 

Maybe people with certain levels/experience/stats should be placed in lobbies with each other?

Rooftop Rumble is fine, because it corrals all the tards in one place and you can avoid them.

There are so many sneaky ways Rockstar try to come up with to promote their cash cards but many people deem to deny it. The game's matchmaking is awful, missions are the same boring sh*t all over again, NPCs are superhuman, NPCs spawn out of thin air (stocks & scares), some missions are still bugged (automatic fails) and chopper tail has already been removed, refresh glitch still happens, there is a lack of teamwork and just much more.

Has chopper tail gone completely? I liked that one, it was a bit different.

If you avoid rooftop rumble, and everything involving fort zancudo unless you're with crew or that rare diamond; a decent group of randoms you're normally ok with contact missions.

The odd annoying parachute race is the price you pay to keep a good group together!

Removing missions, no.

Fix any that are broke and add them back, yes.

Add all the missions they removed from the start menu list too.

Add the replay feature so we can replay any mission any time we like.

Add a couple hundred more missions and or a mission creator.

Let us make playlists with any mission too.

Fix it so anyone can make the delivery after the package has been picked up, so we don't have idiots making us wait twenty minutes before they deliver it. The same as The Los Santos Connection mission.

All missions should be able to be played solo.

I also hate doing the job where you have to collect the titan. 9 times out of 10, some idiot with no skill with flying in GTA5, will get in the titan before someone who knows how to fly, can get into it. Then they will try to take off and crash it either before the truck is moved, or they'll crash it into Devon Weston's hangar. It's annoying and I hate doing that mission with random's more than I hate doing Rooftop Rumble.

Yep, plenty of moronic children and vitriolic jerk faces playing Rooftop Rumble. Avoid it. Like I read above, it should stay.. just to keep the idiots busy (and out of my Pick-up Sticks mission)

 

I have no idea why R* have neglected the contact missions like they have. Lots of broken missions, very few have been added, especially contrasted by the number of DM, races etc.

 

You Tube is responsible for so much misinformation when it comes to GTAO. Idiots.

 

I still play a lot of missions with randoms. I think it's entertaining and fun (mostly, you gotta have thick skin... and not care about $$££¥)

It's worth it when you

 

A) see the newb climbing up the crane in high priority case

 

B) teach them to do the mission properly.

I don't want missions removed. I *think* they could be modified in some way though. Make them more challenging and/or allow more players. There are some sh*t missions but I always err on the side of having MORE to choose from rather than less. With the proliferation of user-made DMs, captures and races, contact missions have been left in the dust. Anyway, my thoughts on contact missions, FWIW:

 

Add more 6+ player missions. More often than not, I'm on with more than 6 people (crew and/or friends) and we're limited to 4 contact missions. Otherwise we have to split up.

Even some of the 2 player missions could use a max of 4 players.

 

Allow missions to be soloed (no requirement for minimum of 2 players). I'd love to solo "Method To The Madness" and others.

 

Allow them to be playlisted. It would bypass the stupid "Next Mission" screen where you can never seem to get another contact mission.

 

Fix the predictable AI or triggers:

Go to thing.

Kill a bunch of guys

Get in thing to trigger more guys

Kill those guys

Deliver thing.

 

AI is some weak-ass sh*t in this game. Most of these missions, I feel like I could almost do blindfolded now. I'd like to see R* mix things up a bit, have enemies spawn unpredictably but realistically.

I've seen them in voting screens but it's extremely rare. They are certainly NOT in the contact missions list so I don't know how you are playing them.

It is bugged for sure but do-able. When you see the "Deliver El Dumbass To Airport" at bottom of the screen, leave his stupid ass and drive to the airport. Mission Success. Yeah, it's dumb but at least you won't get stuck.

That mission should require at least 4 players. I played it but had no problem rescuing El Stupido other than dying the first 2-3 times.

The missions that have been removed for whatever reason seem to show up in the voting screens but are uncommon. There are still missions that are bugged that have not been removed. Rockstar need to get their sh*t together and stop worrying about how much money they can extract from our pockets.
