sivispacem
How is that Probe a "sleeper"? It's basically an anti-sleeper. Designed to look fast, but the top spec model had 145bhp and weighed nearly 1300kg. mr quick 1 AMD Ryzen 5900X (4.65GHz All-Core PBO2) | Gigabye X570S Pro | 32GB G-Skill Trident Z RGB 3600MHz CL16 EK-Quantum Reflection D5 | XSPC D5 PWM | TechN/Heatkiller Blocks | HardwareLabs GTS & GTX 360 Radiators Corsair AX750 | Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic XL | EVGA GeForce RTX2080 XC @2055MHz | Sabrant Rocket Plus 1TB Sabrant Rocket 2TB | Samsung 970 Evo 1TB | 2x ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q | Q Acoustics 2010i | Sabaj A4

Sean O'God
Lexus GS400 - made specifically for the American market, it came with a 300hp V8. I guess the 2JZ didn't make the cut. I suppose it didn't matter since it did 0-60 in a fairly quick 5.7 seconds. Does anyone else think this car is gorgeous? I love its looks, especially in black. *MURDOC*, epoxi and Flachbau

Argonaut
I'll pick the tamer Stagea as I think the 260RS oversteps the line alittle. Nissan Stagea (WC34) RS Four- In brief, 276 hp Neo-based RB25DET engine and ATTESA E-TS 4WD system from the R33 Skyline matched with a slightly heavy 1650kg kerb weight makes for 0-60 in under 7 seconds. Alot of extras were taken out from the R33 aswell such as the Wishbone suspension, more on this here: http://www.autospeed.com/cms/article.html?&title=NotsoSilly-Stagea-&A=2529 Imo it's right up there as one of my favourite car models. Sean O'God
276 hp I'm pretty sure it's higher than that. Japanese automakers weren't allowed to sell anything with over 276hp at the time, so they false advertised and displayed all the high powered cars like the Supra RZ, RX-7, GTR etc at exactly 276hp. I think the Stagea is even more of a sleeper because of that.

Read this article which sums up perfectly how there wasn't actually any agreement or law, and it was done due to rough motorsport regulations: http://honda-tech.com/general-discussion-debate-40/truth-about-%22mythical%22-japanese-car-manufacturers-276-hp-limit-%22agreement%22-561076/ It's debatable whether it could've been more than this- on one hand, if the RB25 was taken directly from the R33 Skylines that were prime targets to be raced in the GT300 class of the JGTC then there is every possibility that it could be uprated, but on the other hand I don't see why they'd bother doing this for a car that was never meant to be used in motorsport at all. ChrissDaMan
I liked your post for the 99 - The 9-3 "Piece of sh*t" "Sviper" isn't a sleeper, although a regular 9-3 Turbo X might be considered one: I think the concept of the Swiper is is a great thing. The owner had a crashed Viper -06 that wasn't worth saving, he take the chassi and the engine, he got the body from Saab and let's be honest, the Saab 9-3 is not a bad looking design, atleast in my opinion, it is just a great way to recycle automotive parts. Then ad the fact that they built it in tha time of 6 weeks, well I think thats a great thing, and specieally when Saab went true a rough time. I really do respect that. and that it does really put out land on the map! I mean us Swedes we can say, "yeah sure, we don't have many supercars brands, but you know what, we like to build our on supercars" Then about the sound, I'm just saying out of experience, but even a loud car could be considered a sleeper in Sweden, I mean, here the most kids drive old Volvo's, Opel's, Saab's, Bimmers etc etc, and the most people use straight pipes on the cars, so the cars sounds loud but don't roll as it sounds, so yeah I would still concider it a sleeper. Saabs and Volvos? Couldn't they get any interesting cars to show up? May I ask why you consider these as not interesting cars? As I said higher up the Swiper V10 and the Volvo just shows what could happen in an amatures home garage. Something that is worth to be called the term respect!
