harder in First person?

Recommended Posts

I find shooting easier in FP. If I'm losing a DM I immediately switch to FP and get the scores at a competitive point again (However I enjoy the game much, much more in 3rd person so I'll only go FP when it's a slaughterhouse).

The running though...it's a mess.

I hope that on PC there will be a FOV slider otherwise I literally will never use first person

Well there is a FOV slider on console so.....

is there really? I googled it multiple times upon the release on the new consoles and got nothing.

EDIT: just checked and the video I watched doesnt look like it goes any higher than 70 :( anyway hats off to rockstar for creating a console game with adjustable field of view

You don't like first person so you click a first person thread, genius!

Read the title you half whit "harder in 1st person" which not liking it myself because I find it harder would kind of mean I have read and answered with my own personal opinion ,

Where as you not only read posts you have no interest in you feel the need to comment on other people's views being unable to put forth one of your own ...genius ...NOT

Since I moved to the PS4 I play in 1st Person and Free Aim, and even when it helps in some things (like I find it easier to aim than in 3rd person FA), it gets "tactically" more difficult since now you can't turn your camera to see around wall edges or you can really get pinned down when taking cover (losing situational awareness).

I recently started a new character with radar and hud off for the extra challenge and so far is it very fun, but everything gets a lot harder. Even robbing a store becomes a challenge with such reduced situational awareness. You really need to keep on your toes and pay attention to sounds and visual cues to spot things you usually see through the radar (i.e. enemies or hearing how far and from where the sirens are coming from so you can escape the police, etc). Like I know I'm being chased by the police because the PS4 controller light starts to blink in red and blue :miranda:, if it turns green I've survived to fight another day!

Let's see how far I get

Depending on where the shootings are, tight enclosed space, third person is easier. Relatively open map, first person is easier.

For reference i usually have my aim sensitivity at around 7 or 8 in most games.

Id say the opposite holds true. Open spaces is easier for 3rd person.. Theres no bob effect when aiming and moving in 3rd person and you can see around corners.

In tight spaces tho... 1st person gives you a better view and a closer view to the action. Which makes it easier to aim. When you can see everything and everything is up close.

*Cough*pcmasterrace*cough*

In all seriousness a mouse will be better for fps aim, though not for driving. I'd probably use a controller when it hits on pc. However if keyboard&mouse driving is your thing fps gta is going to be better for you.

Fps games are 9/10 better on pc anyway, battle field for example, however CoD just feels wrong without a controller. Or is that just me?

Just use a hybrid controller/mouse... .. Now you got a analog stick for driving and moving in your left hand and mouse to aim and shoot with in your right hand. Best of both worlds.

You do know you can disable head bob? I prefer 3rd person up close due to the control of the camera. If you are vsing someone competent it is fairly easy to escape your fov. The only reason i see you having little problems with it is because it doesn't take many bullets for someone to die.

There is still a slight bob effect when aiming tho. Regardless if head bob is turned off. it only seems to effect running and walking Not shooting...Also re-coil when shooting shooting in 1st person.. which does not happen in 3rd person.

First person on foot is far too clunky. In vehicles, it's near bang on - just a pity the field of view is too narrow.

The field of view is far too narrow, regardless of where the slider is.
