AWP trophy - some questions

i am still progressing through the game but at somepoint if i want to get the platinum i'll need to get the MP trophies. by far the hardest one looks like to be AWP. so i thought i ask some questions about this..

 

1. i've been searching around for checklists and found this, is this the official list or is there any missing from it, i might use this as my tracker:

2. if thats right, do i need to win both 'gta race' and 'race'? whats the difference between 'gta race' and 'race'? is the latter multiplayer and the 'gta race' is played within the single player campaign?

 

3. for MP races, can i host races, and if so whats the minimum number of opponents i can have? is it safe to have just one opponent in the multiplayer to do the races? must we both finish the race for it to be count as a win? if i finish the race but the other people exits, does it still count or not? i think if theres too many opponents some will always exist during the race. whats the safest method?

 

4. is there an existing thread in looking for a boosting partner or can i make a new thread?

 

5. for cops n crooks and the first set of modes listed in that picture linked above, can i also have just one other player in the multiplayer so that it can be completed or must there be more than one? again the same potential problem might happen if someone exits or gets killed in the game but everyone else meets the objectives, will that be counted as a win or a loss?

 

6. i was told its only possible to track this via pen and paper now and not on the game menu due to some server issue, is this true?

 

7. whats the best way to avoid the 'glitch' for this trophy? should i complete each race/challenge and upon completion, wait until 'winner' or 'mission complete' shows up so i know its recorded as a win? should i leave the console on nonstop and do all these missions or can i do, say, 3 or 4 per day and switch the console off tomorrow (i work during the day and noone else will be here so the console autoshuts)? is it a good idea to leave one outstanding challenge last and do this on the next day, so that when i pass it the trophy will come up?

1. Yep that's the checklist

 

2. GTA Race and Race are two different modes you can choose from in multiplayer, GTA Race is racing with weapons activated.. while race is just normal racing with contact (but no weapons and you can't leave your car I believe) and yes you have to win both.. all races on both

 

3. Yes you can host races, and it's safe to play it with at least 1 other person.. honestly not sure if it counts if someone leaves but I'd have to say no since you actually have to win, which isn't possible solo otherwise the trophy would have been easier for people to get, just get a friend or find a place that is still helping out people with that trophy and just trade wins until the end

 

4. Not sure if there's one in this forum exactly, but there is over on other sites which I won't link here just in case it's against the rules (Hint, it's a website dedicated to trophy hunting)

 

5. I believe cops and crooks is 4-16 players, so it's not possible to just do it with 1 player. As long as you see the "Victory" screen then you should be fine despite if someone drops or not

 

6. The closure of Gamespy led to many things being changed in IV, one of them being Social Club stat tracking being wiped as well as leaderboards on the PS3, so yes it's not possible to check.. you'll have to keep track on your own using the checklist you linked above

 

7. Wait until you get to the lobby after completing each race or game mode, I've heard that the trophy glitches out if you do all of them right away because it takes a while for your stats to register onto the servers, make sure that when you get to the end.. leave the final objective for the NEXT day instead of doing it on the same day you've gone that far and you should be fine, if you want to do 3 or 4 a day that's fine too.

1. Yes, that checklist is correct - used it for my achievement.

 

2. Yes. You have to win ALL races in "Race" and "GTA Race" - Race is a normal race, GTA Race is a race with weapons enabled and your car can get destroyed so you will have to look for another one on the streets.

 

3. You can host it, only 1 other player is required. Only you have to finish the race (the other player can get "disqualified" for not completing the race on time but cannot leave the race to leave you as the only player). The safest method would be to find someone to help you out. Note that you have to be in a "Ranked" session for this to count - and you can't invite friends there - so you will have to wait until your friend/boosting partner gets put in the same lobby as you (usually takes a few tries, but lobbies are so empty nowadays that this shouldn't be a problem.). I would also recommend kicking every random player that joins your and your friend's lobby. They might be modding or just really skilled - no need to take risks.

 

4. I don't recall any existing threads being here so I think you could make a new one. I wouldn't expect many volunteers though, not much people play IV multiplayer now.

 

5. Cops 'n' Crooks need at least 4 players. 2 for each team. Your team has to win. The game (all games and races) cannot end with "not enough players" or something like that or this won't count.

 

6. Yeah. You could track the progress on Rockstar Games Social Club before but due to server changes, R* completely removed stats tracking for most games instead of fixing them. Track everything carefully!! If you miss one you will have to redo everything because it will be impossible to find out which ones you did and which ones you didn't. If RGSC wouldn't be there back when I got the achievement, to this day I would probably be disappointed thinking that the game glitched out on me. Turns out I missed one gamemode that I thought I did - won it and then I finally got the achievement.

 

7. Stats sometimes mess up with updating. You can do anything you want but do not leave multiplayer/shut down console/game crash/whatever right after completing races or anything else. Give the game at least 5 - 10 mins to update stats to be sure it saved. Also make sure you track everything properly - some people think the game glitched out but really they did not track their progress properly.

thanks for the quick replies, it honestly looks like alot of hard work when i did some more research into the other MP trophies out there, i am unsure if i'll have the motivation to spend so much time on the one game when i have gta5 and other games waiting on the side. getting trophies should be fun and not become more of a chore than working a busy 9-5!
