People want to complain about how expensive everything is in this game, but fail to take an honest look at it.

1-2 missions can buy you just about any single vehicle upgrade, complete outfit, weapon, restock all ammo from FM DM, etc.

7-10 missions can get you a 10 car garage.

10-15 missions can get you an apartment with a 10 car garage.

And to get the most expensive vehicles in the game (and one of the most expensive IRL) it takes around 50-60 missions.

Exactly. You can't fairly compare SP prices to MP. The rate of earning money is completely different between the two modes. Anyway, while some things seems overpriced, like a mask for 50K GTA$, a super sonic jet is only around a million. How does a jet only cost a million dollars? A tank? Rockstar should price things more accordingly. The masks should cost around 15$ while the tank should cost 10 million GTA$. Imagine grinding for a tank at that price! Or maybe they should make properties more expensive. Condos in the middle of downtown should be priced at lets say 1.5 million. You should also have to pay around 80,000 for each garage spot. So, 800k extra for a 10 car garage.

Ssshhhh, you'll make them angry if you display logical thinking.

You're using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means.

How is that logical, again? So it's not fair to compare SP prices to MP but it is fair to compare REAL LIFE prices to MP? Yeah, much logic. Such wow!

And your replying and I don't think you know how to read.

No where did he draw a correlation between real life prices and in game prices.

His two main points where:

1) You can't compare SP to MP because the amount and rate at which you get paid is different between the two modes.

2) The prices should be reworked due to some items seeming more expensive then they should be in comparison to the cost of others.

Sorry, let me explain further. I said the rate of making money in MP and SP are different. Then I said "Anyway", and compared MP to real life prices, which is also unfair, true that. Why would we have to grind 10 million for a tank? It's absurd. The fact of the matter is the prices have no basis as compared to SP nor the real world. They are just what Rockstar deemed to be fair as compared to making money in the Online portion of the game. People before were saying how come SP is so little compared to MP before in the thread. I was referring to that, so I guess should have mentioned it.

Don't let him get you all twisted up. Regardless of your thoughts behind it, no where did you state "real life prices" or anything to the affect. You only mentioned that some prices seem inappropriate in comparison to the cost of other items with considerable more/less value.

Thanks Cali, that was in essence my point. While some items seem overpriced because it's some dumb flight suit or mask, others seem under valued. It doesn't really matter though, because the world is fictitious and Rockstar sets the prices in the name of game balance.

The new items get more expsensive with every update. Its not rocket science.

Which new items? I'm pretty sure most cars and vehicles were priced reasonably. I think that modifications are about the same across the board. Some of the new horns I guess were a little out of control. If you play the game you should have millions to blow through for each update for whatever you want. If you don't, well, cash cards. Or don't buy anything because it's not worth it. Freedom. Nuff said.

He didn't have to say it as it was implicit. You know that word, yes? You know that not everything in the English language need be spelled out for you. Some things are implied or understood without needing it be clearly stated.

I did mean thanks like for real though, hope you didn't take it like I was making a sarcastic comment toward you. You explained my point better than I did, lol. I think it's a valid thing to take into consideration when looking at the grand scheme of prices for items online. Maybe Rockstar was trying to make some things more exclusive by raising some prices? With people in the millions though, that's kind of hard to do.

You came in here insulting my intelligence and grasp of the English language. But you know what, your right, I've been the childish one.

Oh not at all man, no worries, I completely understood the point you were trying to get across and in no way have any of your comments came across as sarcastic or combative. And this I thank you. It can be difficult having quality conversations on this forum, or any forum for that matter.

Arguably, any constructive discussion in a forum can only last for a maximum of 10 posts before one of the trolls/flamers/etc etc. come in to break it. Then you have to start it again, then in 10 posts, it happens again.

It happened too, when I argued for the significance of Uncharted 3's Hardcore Mode, which is a new mode altogether, over Uncharted 3's Classic Mode, which is quite literally Uncharted 2's Team Deathmatch mechanic. I mean, if almost everyone asking for Classic Mode is someone with Uncharted 2, why the hell not just play Uncharted 2 so you don't screw us over?

If we follow this logic (Which isn't wrong) then the Z-Type must also be 10 million. The Adder should be 2.5 million and the Zentorno about 1 million. The Besra should be like 7-8 million. But despite prices being way lower than they logically should it's still time consuming and a pain in the ass to get that much by doing a tons of missions.

Arrows to Athens

If you mad at cash cards you mad at ya balance in your account. People who have the free cash to spend can do so as they wish. Buying GTA$ saves time and is an easy effective way to get good credit. I am a legit level 265 and I have over time got a cool $5M with a mixture of both legit and purchased credit. Purchased credit is arround the $1.5M mark maybe $2M

So people that can't afford cash cards can't buy them? Wow, you don't say? Here is a little thing I like to call having bills, heard of them? Not everyone lives at home with mama and dada. Besides if anyone thinks the amount of money you have to spend for fake currancy is okay, that's a joke. $100 for 8 million gta dollars is nuts. The way I see it, I have legit 7 million. If I wanted at the end of today I could have 8 million. That saves me $100. I'll never understand the people that defend these cards. And you'll have the people "what about me, I don't have all day to play". So spend $100 for 8 million is bright? Then you'll have the same people talk about "longevity". I'm lost for words when it comes to society and peoples decisions.

Its funny how people say that those who money glitch are dirty cheaters because they exploit to get those millions within 5-10 mins while others actually play legit to earn all their money. Yet people who are willing to spend heaps of real money for virtual cash can get millions within a minute while others play missions to earn all their cash. Then Rockstar gets happy and swims in the money they smuggle off their customers and encourage them to buy more and they get even more happy. But if you glitch then expect a ban hammer and an emergency patch. Forget the buggy missions. Rockstar and others claim that shark cards is what keeps DLC free, but we don't pay Sony any extra money yet we still get free online service (for the PS3 ofc). I swear this game, the community and the devs.....

I hear ya, the grind is pretty rough sometimes, especially if you've been playing these same missions from the beginning. I'm wondering if payouts from Heists will alleviate some of the pain, but who knows. I guess we just have to wait until they actually come out. Any day now. That being said, I personally don't have too much of a problem with the way things are priced now. I wouldn't mind some higher paying missions to do though.

Hey cheap ass, the guy buying his virtual currency is SUPPORTING the game. Your childish entitled behavior stealing that virtual currency only supports your clandestine habit and makes it worse for the rest of us.

Friggin narcissists and their selfish, greedy behavior. 😕

Okay, I feel like I need to say something because I had a revelation the other day.

When I bought destiny a couple weeks ago it was only after one week that I found out that activision totally f*cked up a potentially awesome game.

Basically what happened is activision had bungie hold back material that was mean't to be in the game originally. What this left us with was maybe a fraction of what the game was meant to be. Activision then had them set it up so the material that was cut was then offered up as DLC. It's insulting what they did and it's like they were just rubbing our faces in it.

I feel like Rockstar should actually be commended for what they did. We don't have to pay $40 everytime they decide to come out with new dlc. They have been pretty fair with us and compared to what Activision did Rockstar looks pretty damn good.

If anyone on this thread has destiny you know where I'm coming from. Also if you're thinking about purchasing destiny...don't.

You had a revelation over something Activision did? They've been doing this for years. Rockstar & Take Two Interactive have done similar things.

Well, I supposed I could have worded that differently. I was more or less just trying to say I approve of how rockstar has made the approach in regards to game developement/dlc. Basically by choosing to not completely f*ck us over..

Finally, someone with an actual decent head on their shoulders brings this up! People bitch about shark cards for being for sale. When they're totally optional, and you get FREE UPDATES! Gamers these days have no logic or reasoning.

Okay so if cash cars isn't a big deal, why wipe the billions of dollars most of us had during the billion dollar days? Why not let us keep it? I didn't cheat to get it, someone had a billion dollar bounty. I did what I was suppose to do, I killed them. Case in point, thank you.

Because that's still technically cheating and would ruin the game. You can't just have hackers in GTA Online (Or any game for that matter) setting billion counter-fit dollar bounties on people, because everyone will get lazy and will not want to do anything. Not to mention, it goes against Xbox Live's and PSN's Code of Conduct. So stop getting furious because Rockstar did their jobs.
