I just started playing online a couple weeks ago and I have to ask why is everyone so mean? I was in a session just checking things out when I get a text saying I was dead meat and called me a low level player..I was like what the heck? I was buying my guy a new shirt when a guy drove through the door and killed me with a machine gun i think...it was crazy! When I came back he killed me again and just kept killing me... I tried to shoot him with my pistol but he ran me over with a big six wheeled truck, he did that like five times in a row. He got killed by the police so I kept running and got away... Next thing I get another text saying i didn't belong there and another telling me to sell my ps4...then he put a bounty on me! I got killed and then the guy killed me again.. I was 6 and he was a 221...is everyone this mean to new players? Thanks for letting me vent cause that guy was a killing machine!

Thats just how online gaming is , or life in general the weak are always picked on , best get used to it or start doing it too , beat them at their own game , nothing pisses them off more than being owned by a low level player , its the reason i make second characters an delete them to start again so i can go around as a level 10 or so , killing all high levels , my own character is level 460 so yeah when they see 10 they try to pick on me , but then it all goes wrong for them haha i love doing that

It's really annoying these days. Everytime I pass someone with my precious vehicle, I get shot or blown up. It's the reason that I don't play Grand Theft Auto Online that often anymore. I am playing now in invite only sessions or crew sessions with my roleplay crew. But sometimes, you just want to drive around the city, get someone sitting next to you and drive to the beach without getting killed.. :(

It's apparently a homophobic response to a group of players who use GTAO to meet new people (read "get dates")

You have to assume that every player coming in your direction is one of these Pervs....

shoot first, they'll find Invite only as fast as they found the rest stops IRL

Why would you make this post? You're obviously lying/trolling. It's obvious from the first sentence. At least do your homework Mr. Level 6, you can't have a bounty placed on you until your level 10.

It is sad,but it is what it is....go into passive, and stay there till your more experienced.Or invite only lobbies, keep an eye on the radar at all times, when any player is near,go into alert mode,if they get too close ,regard them as an enemy, either escape,or park up,take good cover and get ready to fight.Use any weapon you have, and only aim for the head.If you are outgunned, join a mission and escape.

For players who actually have these concerns, do as mentioned before. Passive mode, change sessions or solo session until you have a high enough level to hold your own.

But as also mentioned before. OP, you claim to have started playing "a few weeks ago" but are only level 6? I was 4 before I exited the tutorial and level 10 after my first 90 minutes playing. So either you're dumber than a sack of wet cats, or this is a troll post from a (at time of reply) a 13hour old new member.

If you are, infact, legit (which honestly I'm skeptical of at this point), do what I did for the longest time. I played in invite only sessions until just recently when I wanted to spice up the experience. I'm a level 167. I feel your pain. I'm not that great. If a player is a level 75+ chances are I won't make it through the battle. Any lower and I have a shot. Unlike others, I don't pray on the low levels; although I will admit I do enjoy the easy kill of an afk player no matter what level.

Anyway; rank up in private and get some better guns, armor, and some better cars until you at least have a fighting chance. Thankfully, Ammunation doesn't rank lock the dlc weapons so you do have two assault rifles to choose from; which aren't half bad. The bullpup rifle and the special carbine rifle. Pistols......eh. You *might* stand a chance with the heavy pistol or Pistol .50.

You get the idea. Do that and you should be good.

Dude sry this happened to you. If I were you I would just go to an invite only session and do some missions. Then Level up, track down the guys who killed you, and kill spree him. Or just save up 75k and buy a homing launcher and blow up any vehicles that come your way

I'm on the victim side of this scenario, but passive mode is boring.

I get my ass raped when I enter sessions, and I laugh my ass off til I get respawned far enough away to make an attempt of jacking a vehicle and getting anywhere.

Although I'm just a pretty passive player. Lol

uh what level are you? 120 or level 20? Because if you're laughing at someone when they kill and you're level 20 and losing that precious money, um I think you should use passive mode just for a few seconds and do missions for a 100 years until you get to level 120.

I felt the same way when I started playing GTA:O, but invite sessions and then doing missions where you pick the skill matched players to invite are the way to go. I've made some of my best gamer friends this way. Some players are still idiots but you can stop the griefers with this technique. I'm around level 70 now and I try to pick mission partners that are less than 20 to help them to rank up. I honestly don't see the thrill in killing low level (or any level, really) players.

Also, if you're going to go into an open session it helps a lot to have a home to spawn in. But you can also change your spawning configuration, you don't have to keep appearing 10m from where you were last killed.

This isn't an isolated incident, it happens to all low-leveled players. You just have to suck it up and try to get your rank up a bit... Otherwise, I suggest buying Battlefield or Call of Duty, lol.

This was a problem for my main character, that ended up solving itself around the time the Carbine was unlocked. And I do have a low level second character, but she was given a Carbine as a Christmas present at level 20 or 21.
