If the V-Day special were to be activated via tunables, would it not be more plausible that the special would be available at a time other than 5 AM EST (as it's not a title update)?

It's quite likely current/next gen will get exclusive new content IMO, so yeah it'd have to be an actual update.

 

My question assumes that it would be a simple re-release from last year. Nevertheless, I would love for some new toys to be included, and much needed bug fixes as well! :p

I agree (although I guess until after Saturday R* have not slipped).

 

Enabling the Content again via Tunables requires no work and will appease everyone until Heists are released and seems fair given R* delayed Heists again.

????? what? nothing to do with attitude its called common sense!!!!

Exactly what part of NOT enabling the Content again via Tunables and subsequently passing it off as an Update is R* using common sense.

 

Common sense would say keep the customers happy and do as little work as possible in the process!

I'm not sure if you're aware but the last update they announced beforehand was flight school and they didn't do very much for any update before that.

I believe some of you are forgetting how last year went. It was released on the 13th last year, patches/updates can be released on any day of the week. We'll have to see what happens on Friday.
