I'm really excited for a Valentine's Day update.

 

The Roosevelt should be re released, and this is coming from a Roosevelt owner. I'm not a selfish whiny little snob, and people missed out on the car because of various unfair reasons.

 

Roosevelt's for all!

 

 

But, if we for some reason don't get it, Heists are right around the corner.

Don't worry I'm pretty sure they are. Saw a video where somebody found it in the code, just not unlocked yet. Pretty sure that's why they have it spawning in story mode now. Just hope they come up with something else with it. Like the car from Cobra. That would be perfect. I would say I wish they'd let us buy the Phantom, but I'm so done with Pegasucks. They need to come up with Hangars, sell them for about 2 million. Give us the option to buy a hangar for our large vehicles and aircraft, and be able to do basic modifications like armor, bulletproof tires, and color. That's probably a pipe dream though. Rockstar seems to enjoy killing fun.

The Hermes does indeed appear to be styled to look like the late 40s/early 50s Mercurys.

 

The cars became hugely popular with the customisers (for kustomisers) of the 50s and 60s. They'd give the car a roof chop, laying the back windows down, add wheel covers, sometimes section (chop a horizontal piece out of the middle) of the hood, and lots of other bodywork tricks (saving details, frenching of headlights/tail lights and so on). Finally the cars were repainted in rich colours, often with flames or scallops.

The cars were nicknamed "lead sleds", because back then bondo (filler) didn't exist, so to get the bodywork smooth again after all the metalwork they used lead. Lead is a bit of a lost art these days but the legendary ;lead slinger; Bill Hines is still around, even though he is now over 90!

 

Probably the most famous Mercury is the Hirohata Merc, built by Sam and George Barris (amongst the most famous/best custom guys, full stop).

Quick fact: The car he drives in Cobra is also used in Gone in 60 Seconds. Its the purple car w/flames. Says Dean1 on the license plate. Same exact car.

 

 

Not sure thats true. The Gone in 60 merc is Dick Bryant's own car, it was rented for the film.

From what I can find out the Cobra mercs (there were 4 of them) are or were all owned by Sly Stallone.

You can design your own. My crew logo is a picture of Winnie the Pooh. Because, well...Pooh is fun to say.

 

When I wear a crew logo t-shirt I can legitimately say I have Pooh on my chest. All my cars have Pooh on them.

 

I just like saying Pooh. What can I say? I'm easily amused.

Maybe since Valentines day also coincides with Nascar starting up, they'll bring on the stock cars. I'd be thrilled with getting the Redwood Gauntlet and Pisswasser Dominator.

Ah yes, apparently they may be different cars. Looked up a lot of info just now. I guess that the Dean car was in a museum at some point and the description said it was in both movies. I suppose its possible but nobody knows except Mr. Stallone and Mr. Dean.

 

Either way, I want a lead sled.

Who cares if the Roosevelt becomes available again? If I ever really want to drive one, I do that one race 'Bad-San Andreas' where you have to use one. By now with GTA Online I don't expect free dlcs anymore since they are a lot more rare than they were last summer.

Pretty sure last year it was released the day before Valentine's Day. So I don't think Thursday would be too close.

lol. So you're saying its alright for R* to mislead and lie to thier fan base?

 

OT: I could see R* doing what they did with the festive suprise update. Re-release the valintines day content with a small handfull of new things. Thats even IF they decide to cellibrate valintines day with some DLC. For all we know, It could be some sh*tty weekend event like what they did to cellibrate halloween...

Same here, IMO the game would loose part of it's Charm if we started using Licensed cars, only time I did that was when I used to play San Andreas allot and first got into modding, and even over time I began using fewer and fewer mods based on real cars, and just began using mods that were tweaks to the GTA styled cars in the game, or cars from past and or future GTAs. It just didn't feel right outside of maybe SA:MP for some reason, but that's just me and my two sense, I can see why people would want licensed cars, but I hope they never go down that route, and I doubt they would, seeing as most companies won't want their brand involved with something like this, so A. The odds are slim, and B. Even if they did the Variety would be abysmal because there'd be so few brands that'd want their car associated with this, that odds are a good chunk of the cars in the game would have to be GTA original anyways.

So, because I told my co-workers when I left work yesterday "See you tomorrow!" with the FULL INTENTION of actually going but woke up today to see a 1/2 inch thick layer of ice covering every surface making it impossible for me to get to work today due to an UNFORESEEN CONSEQUENCE, that I "mislead and (lied)" to my co-workers?

 

If so, then yes. I think that's alright.

 

If I were you, I'd go speak to your Mommy and ask her why she raised you in a way that the lack of instant gratification leaves you so butt-hurt that you lash out at people on the internet.

But I doubt it. I really do, if anything it'll be later this month/early next month not pre V-day.
