Overzealous Innappropriate moderation

Hi!

I asked a genuine question to the OP in a thread here:

http://gtaforums.com/topic/766890-rollercoaster-on-the-pier/

And each time I try to engage in the discussion, I am being hidden or deleted. I think that this is an abuse of moderation powers. Why should my question be deleted when it's more relevant to the topic than the other posts in there?

I see that Tiger has relented and allowed my question to return, but I still feel he was using his powers inappropriately.

Hi!

I asked a genuine question to the OP in a thread

Yes but first you posted this

Pre-re-de-re-pre-order re-de-pre-cancelled.

Which was sarcastic spam. I assumed that your second post was also sarcasm so I removed that too. Now that you have pointed out that it was a serious question I have reposted your second post in the thread.

Thanks, I appreciate your response. While I admit that my first post was a glib response, it's completely in keeping with so many of the threads on that section. Many of those are still visible in threads now. I hope you're going to take the time to go through all the threads and hide those posts as well!

Can I just add to anyone reading this that "terrible posts surround me in this section" isn't really an excuse to post spam yourself. It all depends on the context.

Sometimes it is necessary to remove such obvious spam posts in order to stop them baiting people into derailing a topic even further. I'm not talking about your question post, as obviously that was a miscommunication of some sort? but your first post set a precedent so you can't really blame him or call power abuse.

Either way, I think has been cleared up, any future problems send a PM to a moderator :^:
