Should They Re-Add The OXB Version To Marketplace?

Because I heard alot of people saying the 360 version sucks and is very glitchy. And it doesn't make sense they would replace the older version, i mean, (this is just an example) when Halo Anniversary came out they didnt remove the OXB Halo Combat Evolved from the marketplace.

So many children were whining about the Graphics, and Rockstar had to remove the unlicensed music, so they tried to "fix" the game. Too bad they couldn't do a complete redo. So you X-boxers are stuck with the loused up version, along with the PC'ers. SONY so far is holding off until the game is truly fixed.

And yet for sony users. if you have a PS3 which isnt backwards compatable with PS2 games or a PS4, you are screwed as well.

Hardly, SONY has "Classic" games from the PS2 to download. Already have the GTA: San Andreas on it. Got it just before the title was pulled for redo.

What type of PS3 are you using? because as far as i know, only some of the ealier models were made to be backwards compatable for PS2.

"Backwards" compatible means that the machine will use the PS2 Disc. The game was, until the redo, available as a download of the original game from the SONY "Classic" catalog on-line for 5$US direct to the HD.

I'm glad I still have my Ps2 slim and San Andreas before they were pulled off the shelves. I don't know why Ps2 games were removed, there's still a lot of Ps2 consoles out there.

When will the HD version be available on the European PS Store? (Does the US version still have it?). I also grabbed the Classic version by luck, only weeks before it got deleted :D

The PS Store doesnt have the HD version, its exclusive to Xbox, Smartphones, and PC. But since the classic version was deleted, I think it might be coming to PS store soon.

I hope so. It's been asked for for years, and they've done an amazingly botched HD release.

I still have my original Xbox disc version. I am certainly going to be taking good care of it.

If you really want to play the original just buy a used disc from ebay or something. I have my doubts that the "remastered" version performs worse than the original, regardless of whether you're playing the original on the classic Xbox or the 360. Maybe if you still have the original version from the marketplace you can get a similar performance to the one on the original Xbox but there are some bugs because the 360 uses an emulator to play these games.

I have just tested the disc version of the original Xbox version and it actually performs surprisingly well compared to GTA III and Vice City which are, by the way, absolutely terrible to play on the 360. Needless to say, I noticed that the sound is weird on the 360. It sounds low quality or something and there are probably more noticeable bugs that you can notice the more you play such as the very noticeable pop-ups which were more or less present on the old Xbox. I'd say you should get the "remastered" version instead. It can't be that bad. I am getting it this week for my second 100% playthrough of this game.

If you absolutely want to play the original Xbox version you should buy a cheap modded Xbox classic that has an HDD. If you copy the game to the hard drive it will perform a lot better with almost no pop-ups or hang-ups. That's what I'm playing it on at the moment. You can even run all three GTA games in 720p on this console but you need a composite cable apparently or the scaling will look terrible.
