JDems21
I bought GTA:V yesterday and after dowloading and installing it, I opened the game only to find it is installing again. Ok, I thought, this shouldn't be too bad. Four hours later it is only at 4 percent installed. I've read all the tips multiple times, seen the pictures way too often. Is it supposed to take this long? Relevant information, it's on my PS4, and I have wonderful and continuous wi:fi service with no interruptions. Thank you in advance.
Johan
It's a very big game, about 44-50gb last time I checked.. what I did to speed it up (a bit) was by putting the console on Rest Mode, you can do that by holding the PS button on your controller and choosing the 2nd last option.. or you can just press the power button on your console for a second. After that, simply just do something to waste time, took me about 4-5 hours to finally get it to 100%
JDems21
The game is downloaded already, the application is playing, it's just doing the initial first time launch of the game install. Putting it into rest mode will close out the game won't it?
Johan
The game downloads the first 4gb.. after you launch it it'll start the rest of the game which is about 44gb or so, what happens if you go to the home screen (pressing the PS button while in-game) go to GTA V, press the options(start) button and go down to information.. right next so "Size" or "Download status" does it still show it going up? If so then like I said, it's not done yet. IF it is in-fact still downloading then putting it to rest-mode won't stop the installation or anything, matter of fact it makes it even faster than just simply sitting on the installation screen. JDems21
51 GB already dowloaded, 5% installed. Sadness. Seems like it's going to take a while. Thank you though. By the way, it's gone up 1% since I posted the first message. I'm gonna be here a while.
Johan
That's strange.. and the first time I launched the game I never ran into the installation screen because of rest-mode (which I've used both on GTA V and Shadow Of Mordor during their installation screens) But yeah I guess you'll have to wait a while
MrPenguin_1994
I don't understand why every time I try to install it it's at a different percentage these are the last three percentages it got to and this is as soon as the screen came up 2% 20% 5% and that's what ithe stayed on the whole time never moved watched two movies and played basketball never moved but when I first bought it on a ps4 I got from rent a center it worked perfectly then I went it bought my own ps4 and it's doing this
