Compact Appreciation

I like those quirky kit-van things. Not sure it'd make a lot of sense being in California since they're exclusively a Japanese thing... then again, stranger decisions have been made as to dlc cars in this game.

 

I'd rather have the original vans they're based on (70's / 80's Chevy Van, 60's Dodge A100, 70's Dodge B-series, '67-72 Chevy Blazer / Suburban)

 

But even so, I agree. I'd go for 'em too.

 

As for suggestions?

Chevy Monza ('75-80)

I only mentioned them because they are about the only compact cars I care about really... I'd rather have the real versions of them too.

 

I would like the Monza though, especially if we got mods in LSC to make it look like one of the DeKon Monzas. I'll be honest though, I never really thought of it as a compact, even though it sorta was at the time.

Can't post photos from my iPad, but I have a bunch of compacts, too many to name, but I like my Dilettante.

 

I'd like to see a Suzuki Ignis (search it up if you're interested). It's like a little crossover 4x4 hatchback thing. Earlier models were just a 1.3l 2WD but you could get a 1.5l 4WD on later models.

The problem with appreciating compacts is that The Panto is so vastly superior to the other compacts that the other compacts don't get any attention relatively speaking

It gets more attention because people have no taste.

The rhapsody and blista crush it in a race and also don't look sh*t...join a racing crew and all you will see is rhapsody and blistas with the occasional issi...never pantos

I see pantos in freeroam with horrendous paintjobs making them even uglier being driven by trolls and that's it.

Worst car in the game id rather drive a Regina or dare I say it the dreaded dilettante.

I have a rhapsody and blista OT and will post pics shortly.

also, the panto is the one and only car i have because its so ridiculous

i also gave mine a pink pearlscent and a goddamn roofrack stuffed with random stuff like a spare wheel, that somehow makes for better traction ingame

Well said. Brah don't seem to understand peeps buy cars for fun not just 'taste', even though there's not much wrong with the Panto's style it looks good imo and using that logic any car with the ability of excessive mods is tasteless

yea, to be honest, though my panto now has a kind of more crazy look with that stuffed roof and the pink color, i once had a panto with more normal, in orange without the stuffed roof and it realy didnt look bad at all

True, they don't seem very compact by today's standards, but they were at the time. They were in the same class as the Pacer (Rhapsody, of course), Gremlin, Vega, Pinto, Mustang II, etc.

I have a suggestion....

I present the Yugo which had a presence in the US for a short while and is very popular modding scene today.... They are horrible cars stock, but are made into just about anything today, from rat rods to drag cars, mounting just the bodyshell to any engine the owner can find....

Any hatchback that came in both 2-door and 4-door versions (rather than having the 4-door as a sedan) - for instance, the VW Golf (6th-gen pictured here):

Incidentally, those are the two most recent cars my dad's bought - and that's only because I pushed him to go a little 'sportier' (which isn't saying much!) with the Civic. Before then, he was on really dull 2-door hatches, like the original Fiat Punto:
