I feel as if many characters are becoming forgotten such as Wu Zi Mu and Luigi etc. And it makes me sad at times maybe because I grew up with them or maybe it's the new generation that forgotten about them.

Luigi? Do you mean Green Mario? Edited by T_0_P_H_A_T

Year of the Luigi was literally two years in a row. Luigi has entire games dedicated pretty much to him, and surprisingly, he seems to have a fanbase.

More OT, though. Yes, some characters are being forgotten by the mainstream. But that's not a bad thing: If a character isn't particularly memorable, people will stop giving two sh*ts about them eventually. However, if a character is truly important to the audience and beloved by many for whatever reason, they won't be forgotten.

For better (Niko, for example), or for worse (Sonic.)

They do tend to get forgotten, especially if they don't have multiple games released with them in them, usually them as the protagonist. The problem with doing that; however, is that once a character with a backstory and motive is set up and they complete their objective in the game, they have nothing more to do really. I tend to re-visit games frequently, not only to play the game again, but to get to know the characters again. I like hearing their dialogue or simply playing as them. It's a nice experience. It's a shame kids these days don't really enjoy stories and characters. They're too much obsessed with online gaming.

Maybe he means Luigi from GTA 3, Sex Club 7.

In all honesty, maybe it's good they're being forgotten. To give way to new, and potentially better, characters.

I don't think so. Games hit a much larger audience than they did 10-20 years ago, the audience that didn't play games because they didn't like single player just play online rather than not at all.

If you ask the die hard fans then they still keep them alive and longer by playing them from time to time. New players can only join over time though we could only hope they would also feel the same magic but otherwise the only way these characters can keep up with the fast changing times and appeal is through better gameplay mechanics, and able to create the same magic, and variety to the classic presentation of the originals with a new setting and expanding the scope of the narrative without insulting the soul of the already hit among fans.

IMO Its better not to attempt any more if all we're going to see some sh*tty sequels catered to sh*tty casuals with no spark in the story, nor direction for the said characters'.

I'm a huge 'No one lives forever' fan for its amazing 60s art style, and loads of absolutely hilarious characters whose lines are engraved in my brain FOREVER.

Monolith really nailed the classic spy magic through the evergreen Cate Archer ( excellent voice :inlove: ) in both NOLF games with its impressive level design, A.I and funny chatters around giving players so many light moments throughout the variety of locations. The games are so damn good. It still has a lot of potential and will easily make me excited for the third time if it will ever gets released.

Chances are really slim :/

But the amount of fun I had with both games will live forever with me and all the characters too. New players are what going to miss here from this brilliant experience and really at a loss since they are never going to see such a magic in modern games ever.

True for some reason I feel online is more popular many people skipped Gta v stories to role play as a mafia. I will forever love stories I play da ps2 more than 360 for the story
