I guess on 40-45 GB.

Tht is soo huge

New games sizes:

Far Cry 4 - 27 GB

COD: AW - 45 GB

Battlefield 4 - 23 GB

AC: Unity - 37 GB

NBA 2K15 - 36 GB

New games are also huge. And also because of 4K support, GTA V for PC will be around 40 GB (Playstation 4 version is 46 GB big).

Not 40 GB , Grand Theft Auto 5 will be 65 GB on PC

go to the PC specs article on the Rockstar Newswire

Tht maybe the installation requirements. Setup size can be small..but yea having 4K textures wil make the game rly big..

R* posted req, so they are basing it on that. So yeah between 40-65GB (download size)

The game's still being worked on, so it wouldn't make sense to be downloading the files already.

Setup will be 40 GB big, not game files installed on drive.

The setup file should probably be around 50gigs. Preload should begin a week or 5 days before release.

Have people never heard of compression before? The install is ~65GB, that's why there is a 65GB requirement. You will not download 65GB worth of game, the rest will be unpacked and installed, like every other Steam game ever in the history of Steam. If you bought a digital copy from somewhere else it will be the same.

Depending on how well it's compressed, I'm not sure if it's Steam or Rockstar that handles the compression, but I'm guessing it will be a 30-40GB download. Maybe less if we're lucky.

i remember the times when you could store a game on 1 floppy disc..

Bigger sizes are always good, means more content!

All one has to hope for is that the content itself is worthwhile :D

And I'm assuming b/w 40-55 GB for the digital download. Depends on how well they compress it I guess.

I dont expect any Decent game that is a digital download from now on to be below 30GB to be worth any salt so to speak.

The majority of us today no longer have slow connections(DO NOT FLAME THIS - I KNOW SOME PEOPLE ARE STILL ON SLOW CONNECTIONS), But full blown knock your socks off type games should be large downloads.

I might come across as a slow connection hater or something like that but I'm on Fibre and I know loads of others on Cable connections faster than mine and I'm already 100mbit on the Download speeds.

example ... Star Citizen Folder that game is only 1/4 - 1/2 done its nowhere near ready and the persistent universe is not even in yet and its see below:

I trust you get my point dont expect a blood great game to surface and be under 30gb in size, cause it wont be worth playing otherwise.

DO NOT HATE DO NOT HATE DO NOT HATE DO NOT HATE DO NOT HATE DO NOT HATE DO NOT HATE DO NOT HATE

I was trying for the Devils number on the download and missed by a very small amount hehe. It's ok dont panic this is one of my servers in canada.

This one is from my home but a 30+gb download will still be very doable, start download go speak to wife or watch a bit of tv come back in a hour done simple really.

And dont think I dont remember them slow connection days, this is where preloading game files days early really pays off.

Start download, watch tv/movies be with your friends or girlfriend/s enjoy a day and night without the computer for "ONCE", leave it on all night, come back to PC 24 hrs later and BLAM your game is downloaded and installed ready for you to GO!.

I know the pain but its really nothing as long as you can afford to leave the PC on for 24/36 hours that should do it.
