Uh... well, at least it's not a love story like the last movie.

I wish Hollywood would stop killing the things I love. I was tired of 47 being turned into a generic action blockbuster the FIRST movie and here this movie is doing the same goddamn thing. This is why video game based films need a director who actually LOVES the IP to direct instead of just dressing it like their whore and cashing it in for all it's worth.

I actually enjoyed the last movie despite all it's flaws. Then again, I do enjoy a good stupid action film, so that's probably why.

Friend looks alright look-wise I guess, but not sure if he will pull it off well playing as Agent 47. I've not seen him in much to be honest, so can't really say. Is he a good enough actor to pull it off? Timothy Olyphant was so f*cking wrong for the role, he did a decent enough job in general, but he just didn't give off that cold vibe and personality that 47 has. He didn't look right for the part IMO.

I honestly don't know what to expect, I'll probably see it because I love Hitman, but not expecting much again. This was the best part of the last film by far, such a cool little reference.

This movie will make me love the last one. Jesus, what a pile of sh*t. When a movie looks like crap from a trailer, it probably is crap.

Who the f*ck is that guy, he looks like he's doing some half assed cosplay.

The first one had its merits and as far as game to film films go it was nowhere near the worst. This looks like a joke though.

Meh. I don't have high hopes for this film. After all, the last Hitman movie that was made was a real stinker. I'll still check it out on Netflix in the future, though.

Cult Of Personality

That looked terrible. I wouldn't be hating it if it wasn't attached to the Hitman title. I don't understand how you make a generic action movie out of a stealth game. The scens in that trailer look like something out of a Fast and Furious movie. The movie should be incredibly slow paced with emphasis on showcasing how methodical Agent 47 is. We should see him planning his contracts down to the precise detail. The character should be completely in the grey area without any attempt to force the audience to like him. The guy is an assassin. It'd be cool to see some reference/easter egg in the movies as well like perhaps he goes back to get his suit (you fans know what I'm talking about).

Rupert Friend seems too lean for the role. Needed someone with a bulkier face. All throughout the trailer I could only think of him as Quinn from Homeland.

He knows how to kill the Hitmen.

...

The secret is ...You shoot them. Since that works so well on everything in every Hitman game.

Plus, why is 47 the antagonist here?

Alpha Demigod

As an avid Hitman fan and true supporter of the franchise, I can safely say this looks like sh*t. He is not bald. His barcode is suppossed to be on the back of his HEAD, not his neck. Seriously? Why does he

have a buzzcut?

But I'm still looking forward to it. Why? because from day 1 I never expected a decent Hitman film. I have distanced this film from the Hitman concepts so drastically i can watch it without a single problem.

It's been too long since I've seen a "shoot em up" action movie that is all guns and no plot with a decent helping of explosions.

Quagmire question: Is this scene topless?

Oh, and this is just pure gold. Looks like 47 went to gymnastics class as a kid.

Soo cheesy looking.. They're going the summer-action-blockbuster style with sickening amounts of CGI with with over-the-top Hollywood physics. Damn.. I really want to enjoy this but like OP said, it should be a slasher.

Start with the story and the action will follow. This seems like they just wanted to put a bunch of action scenes and fit in a lame excuse for a story. So it seems at least.

All this while completely ignoring the intelligence of gamers and Hitman fans.

I'm gonna go into this as a cheesy action movie. I doubt I'll be disappointed.

The Hitman game plots never really interested me anyway.

Looks sh*te. I thought it started off well during the interrogation scene which was awesome, but it went absolutely downhill from there. Looks like a generic, cheesy action film with too much cgi. Plus the actor just doesn't look suitable for the role. I thought the previous actor from the previous film was good, but the film itself was disappointing. They've f*cked up the videogame and especially the movies now. ROFL.

The moment I saw the back of his head I knew that the movie is nothing like Hitman.

I think it might be alright. It's just going to be your typical action film, give it a break.

Well quite probably they should go f*ck themselves.

They are completely giving the whole franchise a bad name. It's clear they didn't even bother with the research much, if at all.

f*ck this.

I think it might be alright. It's just going to be your typical action film, give it a break.

It shouldn't be. If accurate, this movie could HAVE been a f*cking success. Want action? Watch Expendables or something.

It's uncanny how quickly the trailer raises your hopes only to instantly completely smash them to pieces. Looks absolute garbage.

The actor should've worn a bald cap. And did the people who made this film played the games? Or did they not play the games properly? The world could go on without this film ever existing.

the ironic one

I doubt that the guy who wrote the scenario has ever played hitman games. 47 is not a hothead, he's a shadow. When he kills no one knows. They eventually find a body when he's 1000 miles away. And he doesn't look like a guy in the trailer, neither his voice sounds like this. I have bad feelings about this movie. The best thing they can do is to make the movie as close to the game as possible otherwise it'll be a disappointment to every Hitman fan.

Looks cheesy. the guy doesnt have the right face. he's too skinny and not masculine enough. too much cheap effects.

This is garbage, im just gonna let it pass through me. the games is all i need if i wanna see Agent 47.

How come people vote up this kind of rubbish? Is the mainstream audience (sorry but..) dumb? Do people really think this is ''badass''?

These kinds of movies are getting released all the time. There is nothing new to it. We can figure out the cheesy lines before they are spoken, we know roughly how every scene is about to be. We know the music. You can even figure out the trailer before you watch it. It's generic and lack any meaning and depth. Also, as far as I know, the most Hitman movie before this one did not do very well in terms of sales. Yet the same kind of rubbish is getting released again?

A proper Hitman movie would be a type off thriller peppered with action, some humor (sorry, childish jokes in this movie does not count), and psychological horror and an innovative story. A director such as Luc Besson would be perfect to write a script and shot a Hitman movie.

Edit:

Damn trailer not available in Norway (maybe the whole Scandinavia.) maybe a good thing since this movie sounds like Ebola for Hitman fans.

Edit again:

This works in other countries, still looks bad though.

47 looks like a douchbag, gets caught (maybe he let himself get caught) lots of mindless action, the soundtrack doesn't fit and the story is very similiar to the first movie. This should have been called generic action movie 2300.

So this is Absolution: The Movie. Shouldn't be too surprising I suppose.

How long must we wait for Hollywood to wake up and take video games seriously? Can't they see how much money good comic book movies can make? Good video game movies could make a lot more than they make today if they took the source material seriously.
