The little sub and the crashed airplane loot

Just curious. You've got the mission where T flies after the cargo plane, gets in it, and it goes down in the water.

 

Later, after I bought the Sonar place, I used the CargoBob to pick up the sub and bring it over to the area of the plane crash with the intent of getting into the sub and then getting out of it in the scuba suit so I could go down and get the stuff from the crash. (I tried swimming down without it and just can't do it).

 

But when I dropped the sub, moved away from it, then jumped out of the CB into the water, there was no sign of the sub. Did it sink? Did I drop it from too high up? It was really annoying but I only had time to try it once (I'll give it another go after work tonight).

In the series it's common for vehicles to just randomly disappear as soon as you turn your back on it for a second.. I suggest to just drop it near land and just land the Cargobob in front of it, or you can repeat what you did above, sometimes it'll trigger it to disappear like it did to you; though other times it'll still be there.
