This is not Indian election. Um so I was wondering if you are still buying GTA V, seeing your GPU doesn't meet minimum requirements I was wondering whether or not you're still getting it. Yeah I'm buying it. And my GPU can play the game. Period. And it states 9800GT as a minimum. So, the GT 610 clearly meets the minimum specs. Proof? Here: Thats not actually a good "comparison" of the cards. If you go into the actual comparison of the specifications the 9800 beats your 610 by quite abit. One thing is what a card supports, and obviously a newer card supports newer software, but that doesnt magically make it better if its really a slower card. Here: Bro, I hate to break it to you so frankly as this, but you are not playing this game at anything better than a slideshow on picassa unless you upgrade first or severely degrade the game (it will take some serious mods, and even then, you're probably still looking at a slideshow). That's a 64bit card. It isn't running even remotely decent on anything below 192bit, and even that is probably going to be pretty choppy affair. Question: How does GTA IV run for you? Here's a gem of a quote I found over at the nvidia forums: It's a 35€ GPU, it was never meant to play games. Even an old 560TI is at least around 10 times as fast! Even most integrated GPUs like those found in Ivy/Sandy bridge are considerably faster than that. With the 64Bit memory interface (lol 10 years ago GPU's already had 2 times that) the card simply starves and has to wait all the time because the slow memory bus can't deliver. Maybe the game will support youtube directly? Perhaps we'll be able to tell the SC our youtube channels and it'll embed our vids there? That'd still be an article similar to the one you envision, surely. Seems wiser than them footing the bill for bandwidth that is free and much more readily available compared to theirs/less slow than theirs? Maybe they are wise enough these days to know that uploading to youtube = potentially lucrative for their users (makes it worth doing) and much, much more visible to potential buyers of the game? Like, social club tv did nothing for their brand. Youtube does wonders, however, because it reaches people who do not even know social club exists or haven't bought their games yet. Interesting to think about. I wonder if we'll get previews of the video editor before release? I think there are a lot of Tubers' interested in this info as well.... R* have hinted the system will plug into YouTube directly as well as RGSC, but I am left wondering if some modder is going to make the files exportable or playable in other editors, if that is the case, I am guessing pretty much every Tube channel will switch to PC, since capturing, editing and exporting will become so easy. I am also wondering what will be possible deeper into the editor, if models are posable, facial expressions, etc. If they are not, I bet a modder will try to get something running as the Machinima crowd will love a full Garry's Mod style system. If you want an idea of what will suddenly be possible, watch the work Commandoflauge is starting to put out. I am seriously hoping he gets his Kickstarter going and his series up. We can already use radio songs in GTA IV videos, but I imagine It'd be quite simple to let us use the mixing material Rockstar's sound guys used for the game. Simply because you can already do that, thanks to the extracted audio (OpenIV and all). All of the tracks have these "stems" (as a member of Health describes them) that consist of a particular instrument, and these stems form on top of eachother, starting and/or ending at different intervals. I've played around with these a whole ton since GTA V's audio was ripped, and I've made some really cool variations of existing in-game tracks. This should definitely be an official thing through the video editor. The possibilities, especially for GTAO with all of its track combinations, are endless. That actually kind of is another argument for the return of social club, where song owners are less likely to complain, as it's an extension and part of the game, and not the wider youtube. It's not just that, people only need to look at your nameplate and see the 'India' country flag to see you live in a place 'off the beaten track' in terms of tech progression. Alright, I know India and the region is getting there, but India is not a premier location for top of the line PC parts. Why do people always think upgrade parts are cheap and plentiful? They should go to India sometime (Even click on a parts supplier in the area) and actually see what you have to put up with. They would respect your decisions a lot more then.... It's more about telling him not to spend 60 dollars on a game that probably will not run well at all. Here are my five cents: I live in a poor country, and I really feel you, when your paycheck is $120 a month after working your sh*t out to receive a damn coin. But you have to move on alongside with the society to "reach the ladder" as you said. I have managed to buy myself a mid-range PC last year and I feel like an idiot, because technology evolves so fast that you just can't keep up. Before building that rig I had my low end laptop from 2011 (I still own it BTW) and it was the same story - lowest settings, 800x600, low-specs patches and so on. Be sure that you're not the only one out here. At least you're good enough to stay with us in our PC gaming family, even if you can't enjoy the full experience (we all hope one day you will). Take no offence, I was just genuinely curious whether you are buying that game with that card or waiting to upgrade your rig. Because that card is still below minimum requirements and I doubt minimum ones would be meant for 1080p I know many people in India and other countries can't afford high-end graphics card and I understand that. So, in 2012 I had to take a low end laptop PC, i7 2670qm GT540M, I didn't know which part to take for a PC, I wanted a desktop though, but, we needed a laptop, since we had no space to put another desktop in it (We had the TV desk, but we kinda didn't consider it), so we took the PC I'm writing from, paid 600€, but in april 2014, I wanted a PC, a desktop one, decided to save up 800€, I only could start saving up in December, sold my PS3 (150€), I don't know how, a miracle, a friend of mine had a broken MacBook Pro, she said 'Try to fix it, if it works, keep it', it fixed by itself (), sold it (250€), I added other 300€ I took here and there, but, by buying a part from ebay, the seller never shipped it to me, so I lost 200€, currently got 500€, I have to decide, getting a used aliewnare (GTX 680, i7 3820, 12gb ram) for 550€ (I was about to buy it for 650€, but I lost those 200€, so I spoke with him, he said that 550 is the min. he could do), but, I'd have to add 50€, and maybe next month I'll be able to add them, if the guy sells it, I'll start saving up, my goal is getting 1000€ in Jan 2016. So, if compared to your situation, I'm kinda good, even though Italy's economy pretty much sucks. RedIndian, you should hope that a relative of yours goes to somewhere like Germany, Italy, USa etc. By buying there you'd get a waay better machine, either way, I hope you can get a machine that can play GTa V at decent setting. Respect also goes Barret, respect doesn't go to the guy with Dual 980s, yes, I am a little bit jealous, but he the last one that should complain, he has a Top-End machine, but he's like 'ooooh i dont have enof muney i only have 2 980s i wunt 89'. Hi Arvark. When i wrote what i did about "MONEY" i wasn't saying that i don't have any. If you look i was trying to be sarcastic to the guy that was trying to make rockstar look bad by going on about they're only in it for the money. I was trying to make a point that all companies are trying to make money, everything i buy costs money and i give it to these companies quite willingly, especially rockstar because GTA V is a great game that i want on my PC. As for my 2 x 980 GTX's - yes - it's probably a bit overkill but i've always had SLi since i started rig building seriously. In the past i've had 2x8800GTX's , 2x450GTX's , 2x580GTX's and now the two 980's. I'm 42 years old and probably too old for gaming in many eyes but i've grown up with it since the days of the Atari 2600. Also, i'm in engineering and have been for 26 years and with no wife or kids i am a bit frivolous when it comes to either my car or PC. I'm only here to make friends and i do hope we can be friends also. It's very easy to misinterpret things read on the internet and what i wrote meant no harm. I'm really looking forward to GTA and have been for years, it's the reason i built this PC in the first place when i had the 580's - shame about the wait though i must say! Anyway, back on topic.... I don't think we'll see anymore news until two weeks before release date. I also believe there won't be anymore delays although i'm a bit sceptical about it being properly finished and it'll be down to the PC community to iron out the bugs. Yeah, since heists will never be released, that's Rockstar's way of saying "the PC version will be indefinitely delayed."The way things are going, Heists will launch a week before our launch, that is how fine the gap seems to be getting.... I honestly though they would launch 4 weeks before our launch, but it seems more likely that is not the case. Maybe the launch info will come next week for Heists, but I am getting more doubtful. But it is true about the overclocking, if you overclock *your ram* it garbles gta IV's audio. dude.... no. just... no. Without any irony, its just a sped up video... this is PC we're talking about, overclocking doesn't work that way. Yes, overclocking does work that way - strange things can happen in software when overclocking. In the case of GTA IV, when you turn your ram to turbo or extreme in bios and make the board overclock your ram, you will get this kind of sound error in IV, I got it myself and that was the cause, that's why I said it Yea, it's not supposed to happen, but in this case, that's what it is Strange but true bug.
