Alter Character Appearance

I was playing on my girlfriend's character which had been transferred like two months ago and whose appearance we had already altered when I got a connection error.

So when I started a new session from single player I suddenly got the change character appearance notification. Did anyone else get this?

Yes, this is the exploit everyone uses to change their character. Build up a 2nd character to level 6, where it will ask if you want to update their appearance next time you use them. Then take the console offline for a few seconds when it asks if you want to do so, go back into the game as your main character and it will ask if you want to change their appearance instead. Keep character #2 in this state and you can keep triggering the prompt by switching characters.

I plan on doing that tomorrow! That's awesome. I made my character, but he turned out ugly and with some features I know I didn't put on there.

But she doesn't have a second character. She only has her main one and the notification popped up after getting a connection error and then starting a new session.

Means signs out of PlayStation Network or reset your router for the Xbox consoles so the game detects that you're

not logged in and throws you back to story mode.
