Why don't R* open the remaining character slots.

Why is this even a topic, there are NOT extra slots on PS4/One so obviously whatever the reason was for them has been scrapped...

The 3rd, 4th and 5th slots were originally going to be used for a Vagos, Lost MC and cop character you could customize and use for the cut Cops N' Crooks activity (among other activities, including heists by the looks of it). Source.

Looks like they have completely abandoned the idea (or are possibly tweaking it?) by removing the slots from current-gen.

seeing as GTA online will be the online platform for future GTAs I'd assume that's for GTA 6

 

is there anything wrong with holding back content and releasing it slowly over time to extend a games life?

I didn't sell any cars to make room. I started a 2nd character

Now with 3 properties I could probably find room for a few Adders but I filled 4 garages pretty easy so until lately most higher rank players had 4 full garages

 

You still havent told me why I have to store them in the first place? Do they increase in resale value or something?

Rockstar can/has taken away glitched money. They will not take away cars purchased with glitched money.

 

So when/if a money wipe happens again, people with Adder bonds will at least still have several million $$$ of Adders to sell.

We had 1 money wipe and it was after people were gifted Billions!!!

Yeah, its a stupid thing R* forgot to fix and just forgot about. who would really play consistently with 5 characters? 2 is hard enough, 1 lvl 408 and 1 lvl 91 i dont even touch anymore, shes hot though.
