Yeah, its a stupid thing R* forgot to fix and just forgot about. who would really play consistently with 5 characters? 2 is hard enough, 1 lvl 408 and 1 lvl 91 i dont even touch anymore, shes hot though.

I have 4 leveled up over 2 PSN accounts (PS3). First over 310, another over 250, and 2 more over 150. Wouldn't be impossible people want more then 2.

Adder bonds x 5=

a $3,450,000 loss.....

sell 5 fully upgraded cars + $200,000

buy 5 Adders - $5,000,000

upgrade 5 Adders - $2,000,000

sell 5 Adders + $3,750,000

buy back original 5 cars & upgrade - $400,000

NET LOSS $3,450,000 Ya, real smart investment

I personally wouldn't mind a 3rd character slot right about now. I've already got a ~200/160 male/female characters with pretty much everything relevant purchased/unlocked on both, so there's no way I can 'delete' either. I would, however, like a chance to start over again.

They could be planned for something, but who knows.

I mean, GTA IV got the 2 episodes a year after release, but IV was smaller than, and didn't have as much as V, and not to mention that V has only been out on ps4/one for about 4 months, and not even out on PC yet, so who knows what can come still. It's still rather early for the game to a degree.

I'll say it again: Rockstar overestimated their cloud services and were expecting everyone having 5 characters, when they saw how sh*tty their network is they retracted and now we can only have 2.

hahaha if you actually knew how the Adder Bonds work, you would know theres no such thing as "Net Loss", Adder Bonds are nothing but profit!

LOL Right!

If you are using adder bonds to stash glitched money, then there is no loss whatsoever... Cause you never really "worked" for that money. If that doesn't work for you, look at it this way;

"Net loss" of adder bonds = $3,500,000

Net loss of not purchasing adder bonds before a cash wipe = ALL OF YOUR FREAKING MONEY.

I'm not a modder or a glitcher; I'm just a fool who didn't invest in chrome adders during the billionaire days :( silly me.

This:

Future DLC

and,

It would be cool if they were your NPC characters you can use for missions/heists instead of playing with randoms lol. Would enjoy doing missions much more ;D

Initially, I thought that the three slots would be for characters specific to heists, for those who tasked them solo. You could create three other heist characters: a wheelman, gunman and hacker, perhaps, and via missions, you could level up their skills.

But, I'm leaning more towards this:

I'll say it again: Rockstar overestimated their cloud services and were expecting everyone having 5 characters, when they saw how sh*tty their network is they retracted and now we can only have 2.

I'm guessing they were for different family members to have their own characters. As to why they only allow two, I have no idea. Perhaps server space? That seems unlikely, but you never know.

I'm not arsed about extra character slots as I hardly use my second one (which was actually my first as I thought slot one was glitched when online launched and things getting deleted. Stuck to my first slot character after getting the then-rare Asea from the tutorial). I want them to open the damn titan and cargobob back up.

More than likely this was just a place holder during development. It was probably used in character development, also as a way to test the switching of characters. That is probably why there are three spots; two for online and three for the main game. You would need something like this to be able to switch between story and online at any given time.

There was specultaion about porting IV's Liberty City to GTA Online/V.

Maybe we will have to create a new character for each different city they add in the future, thus giving us 2 more character slots.

I would have to agree with the general opinion that it was a feature they originally planned for but never used. I wouldn't really care too much unless they gave us more ability to modify our characters, as it is they all basically look the same anyway.

No never did, stupid unless you have empty garage space even then your only getting back less than half the money you bought and upgraded the Adders for. Not to mention you have to buy back the cars you sold to make room.

Even glitched money is money, I keep mine in the bank!

If you didn't spend anything how can it be a "bond" or any kind of investment?

Your just glitching Adders, I'm talking about the guys who buy them and store them to save their glitched money

Glitch 2x what it costs to buy and mod an adder. Then store them. They're not investments, they're liquidatable assets.

My guess was when hiests came out and if you wanted to play solo, you could import your other characters and their stats would reflect how they would perform in the hiest.

So if you had only two characters the others would be randomly generated npc's and would probably suck. If you had all slots filled with a bunch of bad asses then the mission would be easy and make easy money.

Now, we will be dependant on other players and how they perform which leads me to believe we'll have a couple of douches that will more than likely be the last character and commit suicide just to ruin it for everyone.

So your just glitching Adders, what's the point in storing them in your garage?

Is part of the glitch that you have to hold on to them for some time???

Only money glitch I did was selling Franks MKII, you didn't need to store it first

people bought adders with glitched money to protect it against a wipe...

then after the wipe sold the adders to have "clean" money... iut was a lundering exercise to turn "given" cash into "car sales" cash...

The other "adder bonds" process was using the hooker glitch to dupe an existing adder by buying a rebel... so in your example the investment is 3k the payout is 668k, meaning net profit of 665K ish per adder...

Take that to 5 characters at 30 slots per character and you ahve 150 x 665k profit... = $99750000 profit

thats a pretty hefty profit

During the billionaire days we all suspected a money wipe. Some suspected a complete asset wipe.

Some had the foresight to store as many adders as they could. (purchased with gifted billions)

The money wipe occurred. Those who recieved large sums of money were left with 500,000 GTA$

If those who had their money wiped happened to have had a garage or two full of adders, the essentially hid several million GTA$ from the wipe.

Adder bonds are a thing of the past. Only useful post money wipe.

so why store them??? why not sell them and put the money in the bank like all the other glitches???

That's what I dont get about this bond process - why do I have to sell cars to make garage space to do this glitch???

^^

I didn't sell any cars to make room. I started a 2nd character

Now with 3 properties I could probably find room for a few Adders but I filled 4 garages pretty easy so until lately most higher rank players had 4 full garages

You still havent told me why I have to store them in the first place? Do they increase in resale value or something?

The money, when left in cash or in a bank account was wiped.

The money, when spent on adders and stored in a garage was not.

Sure, players only got 60% of their investment back after selling the adders, but 60% is better than 0%

In case some are unaware

Modders can still give players millions of gta $$ and R* has cheat programs in the game.

If a player all of a sudden has a billion$$ and gets reported by some jelly asses. There is a chance they might get that money taken back and thrown in cheater pool.

So.... Launder the money and pay the 40% fee for stock Adders to resell later. 50% loss on value adding mods.

Legendary and LSC have got some racket going on there.. Pure genius.. :p

Optimally, 2nd Character with 30 fully modded Adders at 800k a pop leaves you with 24mil in your garage..

Why won't Rockstar open more slots? This question goes right along with why they won't open the Arena, Casino, and many other parts of this game. Remember, this game is suppose to be going strong till GTA 6 comes out, so of course they're going to milk this as much as possible. But, with all the bugs, glitches, exploits, etc, they might have just said screw it with those extra character slots(simple solution to that is separate bank accounts for each character).

Personally, I'm fine with one character. I'd rather they do more unlocks for high levels.
