Kill Frenzy! Posted February 23, 2015 Share Posted February 23, 2015 (edited) No fan boyism at all. I owned PlayStation 1 from that I went to PS2, 360 and now Xbox One and also had a PSP. I bought the 360 instead of the PS3 only because it was way cheaper. I bought the Xbox One because to me (my opinion) seeing youtube's videos about comparing it looked a slightly better on the Xbox One (with GTA V), not sure about other games. In the last few years I don't buy a lot of games anymore, just a few. I'm a fan of GTA since GTA1, so yeah and wanted the Xbox One because it looked better. So OP; Which did you buy? God rays have been fixed, about the others i never noticed. Idk I watched comparison vids and noticed. I'm still last gen doe. Can you link a video of it? (water, blood, & mud) I'm really curious about that. Having played both versions, I never noticed that at all. CH14R1 Posted February 24, 2015 Share Posted February 24, 2015 (edited) I had an Xbox One shortly before PS4, sold it because: - Didn't got used to the controller, the R1/L1 buttons are very strangely positioned, kinda twisted a bit my indicators to keep them steady (the triggers i risk to say that are better than PS4 ones but not that much) - Size, it's huge by itself and has a huge power supply. At least once a month i took my consoles with me on a travel to my hometown and it was a pain in the ass to disassembly and carry. PS4 is a bit slimmer with just a power cord. - Battery powered controller. Maybe was bad luck but mine kept turning the controller off due to bad contact with the power and charge kit's battery. Less important, but still considered.. - Both official headset (mono/chat and stereo) must be wired to the controller, not fully wireless then.. - Never turned on the kinect which came with it - Live is powerful but too fancy for me You might ask why i purchased it with some noticeable flaws under my opinion but the Xbox One is manufactured in my country and PS4 don't so it had a significantly different release price. The triggers have their own vibration system than the controller, when you shoot a weapon is a example, you may think it's simple but when driving in first person you can "feel" where the car is going. When I do it will be a PS4 only because neither myself or anyone I have personally known has had a problem with a playstation. 1,2,3, or 4. Out of cheapness in 2008, I had to have a new system to Play GTA IV and the newer college football, so I bought a 360.....2 mos later RROD......fixed, sold, hello PS3. I dont know if they fixed the quality on the XBONE but to me on last gen everything about the 360 seemed cheaply made and until I see a long run of people not having issues left and right I wont be back. Let this be a lesson to you young folk out there. Try not to hold grudges over stupid things like XBOX 360's breaking from 7 years ago......thats how you become an alcoholic. My PS3 has gone faulty for the first time ever, it won't read discs, might have a very dirty lens, or broken one altogether, I don;t know. I'm p*ssed off though, because I can't play IV+EFLC for now. For example, I just put together a list of parts that equals almost the same as a console with a slighty better gpu(R9 270x) If anything, you could upgrade it for $200 after 3 years. In 3 years, $200 gpu's will be insanely fast compared to the ones right now. So you will have an even faster machine plus all other advantages, and remember some parts have a long warranty. A console could crap out a year later and you are out of luck while a pc, you just gotta replace that certain part. Consoles are great but way to overpriced in some places. I would rather get me something with comparable price, power and more games. The "replace parts every 2 years" is a myth. It all depends on your initial build and budget. A lot of the world aren't ready for PS Now in terms of download speed, which means many countries/nations won't be getting it for a good few years. As for a IV port, probably won't happen but you never know. 10 year anniversary could be a possibility. I'm just hoping LC gets added to V in future DLC.
