Osho
I'd recommend Xbox One but not solely because of GTA V rather an amazing future PC, Windows phone ( tablet ) and Xbox cross-platform possibilities. For now, if you're a windows phone user like me then Xbox One actually would be my preferred choice. You can play with friends anywhere on your Xbox profile. PS4 is good too. But I don't see much difference between both sides when it comes to gaming performance while the teenie-weenie pixel differences really doesn't matter much for console gaming anyways. Xbox One still looks pretty good, and from what I've read - performance-wise takes the cake! and overall a better experience. v17
I've owned both. My unbiased opinion. Ps4 is better. Why? If you don't mind me asking Ice always fiercely defended Xbox. I think it's because I owned one first, I wanted to belive I chose the best console. But when I take a step back and look at my experience with both consoles. It pains me to admit it but the PS is so much better. My 360(s there have been multiple). Broke twice, I had to pay to play online (which now Sony introduced ffs), the tray used to scratch my disks, tray stopped ejecting. Controler aged terribly. Had to buy an extra hard drive. Had to buy extra WiFi connector. Fan broke. Ps3. (only purchased one) Fan got noisy after 8 years. Egnored experience and went for plucky under dog Xbox one again. Xbox one. had to take two back to the store for not reading disks. first one gave my disks ring burn, so couldn't sell any games. Really slow to open things. Ps4. Now have to pay to play online, they offer games but they are all utter crap. the controller light is ridiculous, my tv reflects it And you can't turn it off. I could go on with more points about the consoles but I had typing on my phone. All in, from my experience it pains me to say it but the PS is so much better. It just feels like your getting a better product for your money. I don't use My Xbox. It's not even plugged in and I need to find the time to sell it. Len Lfc
I have both. & they're both pretty much exactly the same, with only a few minor differences, that I've personally noticed from playing. PS4 has more foliage. That's it. That's all I've noticed, personally. I've heard the PS4 also has a few more particles & effects, but I haven't noticed. So If you just want the best version, sure go with the PS4. It's better, but only by a tiny bit. Some extra grass. However. The PS4 immersed my that extra distance, because of the thicker grass in some areas. But I just enjoyed the Xbox One version more. Probably because I'm used to the Xbox console & I use it as my primary console. I love the All in one feel of it. I'd recommend just getting the game on whatever system you'd prefer. The game itself is barely better on the PS4. However I will admit, that extra level of detail does make it look & feel more alive in some areas. But again, I enjoy the rest of the game more on the Xbox, my personal console of choice. Datguy8925
I got a PS4. Because it was cheaper than the Xbone when they both released. That, and we were Playstation peeps since the PS1. As for you TC, if you want to save a bit of money, then get an Xbone. But if it were me I'd still get a PS4. Exclusives are not really a selling point to me, and any multi plat games are more than likely going to look and perform better, even if its slight. I don't really think Live is better than PS+ other than DDOS attacks. And even then I find something else to do in the mean time. Crimson Flam3s
Ps4 can do do internal or external. What's the big deal anyway? Internal or external whatever.. not something to be proud of and to be using against people who like the opposite console. It all comes down to exclusives, in which one games perform better, apps etc. About the network, I find them pretty similar. The myth of xbox live being this super stable god like network is just that.. A myth. Psn got hacked and live as well but it doesn't happen every week. In general Psn has performed exactly how I wanted it to aka play games online without issues, if anything I have had a few more issues on live. Alec Skorpio
I own both, I think Xbox One looks better because it has better lighting/brighter colors. Some people think PS4 looks better cause it has more foliage and particle effects For all intents and purposes, they're equal as they both have rather minuscule pros and cons over each other. I'd get whatever you feel you'd enjoy more for reasons outside GTA V

Arya35
Unless you have to choose now, wait as long as you can, it may turn out that one of the consoles will get story dlc earlier (probably ps4). Don't base your decision on graphics, if you care about them or 60fps just get a pc instead. The modding will make it a worthwhile buy, plus minecraft is probably best on PC due to modding, whilst cod is generally best played on a console. I'm new to hi def gaming having owner ps3 for over a year and just recently buying a ps4 this past november. All I knew was bits sprites and polygons. How do frames per seconds work? How much of a difference between 60fps and 30fps would I notice. I was playing a little bit of GTA v on my ps3 yesterdayBut it pales in comparison to my ps4 version. How much more impression and detail does this game need? How would 60fps make this game even more amazing. Last gen is impressive also both GTA Iv and v. Fps means how many times the screen refreshes each second, higher is always better as the game feels smoother. The difference between 30 fps and 60 fps is very noticable, and you wouldn't want to go back once you're used to it. I recently got a 144hz monitor and even that is very noticable compared to 60fps. It is very useful when shooting in a game and it's a lot easier to aim. Although with a third person game like gta 60fps isn't very important, although in first person it will be very beneficial. Unless you are willing to use mods and play custom multiplayer clients separate to gta online, or have a PC strong enough for 1440p, 4k or multiple monitors, it is not worth going to pc if you have a ps4, as the experience won't be different enough to warrant a third purchase of the game. Hey at least there is this stickers you can buy and put them there, in order to have this cool glowing logo. There are mods you can do to the controller to turn it off, but you probably know that ...I agree though, best to just turn it to dim, sometimes I use to see if I have a wanted level when I turn Hub and radar off. I personally feel the DualShock vibration is very optimized for this game, I wonder is it the same exact vibration for XBone, though I realise Xbox has different placed vibrators (whatever you call em' rumble paks) Maybe we will be able to buy third party controllers soon , my PS3 third party ones where great, one even has the XBox layout if that matters.
