Geeteeaifive
I'd personally get PS4 because it's a better console hardware wise. Also some exclusives look good. Knowing me, i'd get both xbone and ps4 just for exclusives. But i'd rather dump 800 dollars into my next enthusiast class gpu and play all latest games for 4-5 years maxed. Because it's only worth upgrading so often. Assuming no breakthrough in tech comes. Crimson Flam3s
I understand understand xboner's position about xbox live being good but in general they are both similar. I play often on both and I haven't had any major issues on ps4, it's rare to get disconnected, if anything the servers on xbox were having more issues and getting DC every 15 mins altough that was an issue with the router, but the ps4 wasn't experiencing it. "Servers being more stable" wouldn't even be a reason to get an xbone but exclusives. Between the 2, I would rather have the ps4, it still holds that graphical advantage in multiplat games, better free ps plus games, the controller feels better to me, and I like the exclusives coming up for this year. I still hold a grudge with Microsoft for that fiasco they tried with all that used game and DRM fast one they tried. whats_a_username?
Packing_Heat
Having played GTA5 extensively on both next gen systems I prefered my experience on the Xbox One based on the controller and more of my real life friends owning an Xbox to play with. Its purely a preference issue though so I'd ask yourself 2 questions: Where are my friends playing? What controller layout do I prefer? Hopefully your not being swept up in the fanboy BS from either side. These 2 consoles are essentially the same thing with slight differences. Turkey Shenanigans
I would say xbox one, the servers are more stable then PlayStation, That's a myth conjured up by XBOners(XBfanboys). I havent had any more problems on PS compared to XB. Troll harder. plus once you run out of memory, you can add a external hard drive Can also be done with PS4. You can do both external and internal on PS4. On box720p you can only use external. Unless you totally rip your xbox apart. And internal is better imo anyway. Who wants a gigantic black box sitting on top of their console? Just one reason PS is better then XB. Packing_Heat
Box720p? Ohhh okay you were trying to be funny. How very clever. Fanboy wars of this gen in a nutshell: A gamer with a low end 7850 in their system taunts someone with a 7770. It's like saying "hahaha, my hardware may be terrible, but yours is marginally worse! So take that!"

And 7850 almost meets recommended settings for that game, so most likely medium-high 1080p @ 60 fps on that card, so around twice as powerful as this dissapointing generation of consoles. Cornphlake718
Every time I've played Xbox I just can't get into the controller. That's the main way you interface with the system so being comfortable on the hands should be important. The PS controllers have a great symmetry, reminds me of boobs. Xbox controllers have always reminded me of Sloth from Goonies. Which would you rather hold in your hands? And in response to your other post about asking yourself 2 questions: My virtual friends on PS, real friends on Xbox Prefer PS layout (actual human hand layout compared to that xbox controller monstrosity) So I'm f*cked in these type of decisions. Packing_Heat
Indeed. I went all digital this gen on both platforms. Swapped out the internal PS4 HDD with a 1TB I had lying around, but at the same time I own more Xbox One games so I have the CoD Xbox (Which is already 1TB) and a 3TB external connected for games and a 2TB connected for TV shows, Movies etc.

John The Grudge
The machines themselves are almost identical in terms of performance. In the long run I expect Sony to be more consistent in producing interesting exclusives. Crimson Flam3s
SmokesWithCigs
Unless you have to choose now, wait as long as you can, it may turn out that one of the consoles will get story dlc earlier (probably ps4). Don't base your decision on graphics, if you care about them or 60fps just get a pc instead. The modding will make it a worthwhile buy, plus minecraft is probably best on PC due to modding, whilst cod is generally best played on a console.I'm new to hi def gaming having owner ps3 for over a year and just recently buying a ps4 this past november. All I knew was bits sprites and polygons. How do frames per seconds work? How much of a difference between 60fps and 30fps would I notice. I was playing a little bit of GTA v on my ps3 yesterdayBut it pales in comparison to my ps4 version. How much more impression and detail does this game need? How would 60fps make this game even more amazing. Last gen is impressive also both GTA Iv and v. And who wants a big black ugly box sitting on top their console? You can't do both on PS4. And why does it have to be a big ugly box? Lots of Externals are sleek and black. Just plug them on the back of the console and forget about it.
