CarlitoDorito
If it's just for V then the console versions are mostly the same,.PS4 has some controller things like the red and blue flashing on the light bar when wanted, some touchpad things but none are really needed, they're either gimmicky and pointless or nice little additions depending on your perspective. I think PS4 has extra grass, although if that's a problem you should get the PC version, that'll have more probably, I'm guessing there will be a grass mod 1.0 too, the whole map covered in grass If you have more Friends on Xbox get an Xbox, you get the apps too, there's halo of you like that, gears of war probably, call of duty maps early. PS4 has uncharted 4, anything by naughty dog, the order 1886 looks like it might suck. Apparently some games have more P's on PS4 than Xbox one, xbox one may be have 720 P's, ps4 usually gets 360 extra p's! If that's a thing for you. You may wanna try them in a shop for anything else like controller and UI and stuff. Edited February 11, 2015 by CarlitoDorito Octane
Trevorphilipjfry
I'm a 360 like yourself OP, and if I were to jump over id probably get my hands on the ONE, personally its the more attractive console. But if you're primary aim is to play GTA V next gen, with the beat experience, id probably say PS4 ever so slightly edges over the ONE version IMO. But the bigger question to ask yourself mate I : Which one will your friends play on Which one is cheaper Which platform has better exclusives Which one gives a better online experience And if youre coming from 360, try a PS4 first, before you buy one, see if you can change to the new UI and controller, some can only stick to one or the other. Also the ONE free games monthly like the ps4 as well.
GrandTheftFan788
Coming from the 360 I got the PS4 because it was cheaper. It was the same reason that I got the 360 initially. Now that they are basically the same price I would still get the PS4, that is probably only because I have all the playstations since the ps one. Of course most of my friends where on the 360 and now the Xbox one but I never played with them anyway. In the end its up to you anyway so just get what you want. Yoona
I'd say PS4 for having stronger GPU, most new games run on higher resolution and details on PS4, and it has larger user base. But to be completely honest I'd ask you to consider to build a PC, because new consoles are really weak... Like really a guy with second generation i3 (4th gen ones are 120$) combined with Radeon R7 260x (around 120$) can play Battlefield Hardline on HIGH in 1080p with 50-60 fps when PS4 version runs on 40-60 fps 1600x900 on medium settings and on Xbox One at 720p medium settings with even more frame rate drops, it's kinda pathetic. No hate intended, if you still want a console then I'd say get PS4. Edited February 12, 2015 by Yoona Crimson Flam3s

As for PS4 this year exclusives are The Order 1886 on 20th of January, Bloodborne on March 24 and Uncharted 4 (probably FALL 2015) Xbox One has Quantum Break (probably Fall 2015) Halo 5 (probably Fall 2015) and Forza 6 (probably Fall 2015) Edited February 12, 2015 by Yoona

esmittystud101
I have a solution for all. Listen very carfully, buy an Xbox One and PS4 and purchase GTAV for whatever one you want. As soon as I purchased both consoles, all my exclusive games, framerate, pixel count arguements came to an abrupt end. Trust me on this. Buy both consoles, your gaming life will be so much easier. While it's great for those lucky enough like yourself to own both consoles, the point being made by the OP is that he plans on buying and owning one NG console, and therefore will buy just the one copy of an NG version of V, the question is which one, XB1 or PS4. He's clearly not planning to waste money buying two NG versions of V, and he's not buying both consoles. So your solution is useless. For GTA 5 i would say to get it for any console, both look great and similar, but if you have to choose one go with PS4, i'm purchasing a Xbox One though, not much of a fan of Playstation franchise. Sawnek
It's all down to preference, and by that I mean, if you look at other exclusives that the consoles offer, get the one that has the better exclusives in your opinion. Last gen I stuck to playing mostly 360, but I moved and bought a PS4 for preference and I haven't regretted it.
Acetaminophen
Id say PS4. But it also depends on what system your friends are on or what system you had last gen. I'd also recommend the PS4 for its upcoming exclusives. But the XB1 is a good system also. So really its just whatever you feel. But PS4 is what I would go for and what I went for. Will be getting an XB1 in the near future tho.

I was going to get a PS4, but at the time the Xbox One seemed more attractive to me and I prefer the exclusives more. I'll probably get a PS4 one day, but yeah that's why I when for the Xbox One. I also have a 360 too which aided in my decision as I just carried over my Gamertag and movies and such which I had purchased. daltontigerboy
PS4. Objectively it has the larger playerbase (19 million sales compared to 11 million sales for Xbone) and has a significantly more powerful GPU (60% or so) than the Xbone; meaning exclusives theoretically should be able to look better on PS4. Multi-platform releases will likely be made to look the same. Naturally if you have the money, PC would be the better option; although the entry cost for a decent machine is significantly higher outside of America. Oh so now its 60% more powerful? Lol that number changes every time I see people talking about it haha Edited February 14, 2015 by daltontigerboy

GTA 5 runs it at 1080p, and don't come saying it's only a remaster because the graphics are way better than last gen, DX12 will not improve it's performance but will help a lot doing games at 1080p, now i'm going to sleep, if you think DX12 won't do nothing to the console just wait GDC 2015. JessicaNova
PS4 tends to have less FPS drops and overall better look. Some say One has colors that "Pop" there's a option in the PS4 in video called RGB that gives you the same "pop" in the One. Keep in mind PS4 may have less FPS drops but they're still there. It can be fixed by replacing the slow and annoying 5400 rpm HD.
Red_Carpet_Suicide_Bomber
Xbox one, the controller is 1000 times better. And online part is better on xbox one. ONLY reason few people bought Xbone at launch was because of the god damn kinect camera, lots of people did not want to be surveilled 24/7. But xbone learned and released the editions without the kinect part. So i say go for xbox one. Sure it may be more grass and whatnot on ps4 version but do you really base your opinion on who has the most grass? xbox one all day. btw, PS4 underpays the people making the console also, soo if u support human slavery you should buy the PS4. SAURUS23
imo the ps4. the controller fits better in the hand than the xbox one and has slightly better graphics. however the xbox one has more apps, but the ui is poor. if you are planning to play cod more than gta go for the xbox one as it gets dlc before the ps4

So ok, some Xbox One consoles are "bad". But if u dont live in ASIA i dont think you will get a chinese console. I hate foxconn, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8GQNJ0WJb4 Never buy iPhone!
