I have both systems, and have played GTA 5 extensively on both.

The differences I have noticed between the two are:

*They both look very simular – but there is a visual advantage to PS4. When both versions are set to 'full RGB' (or 'PC' in XB1's case), PS4 seems to have slightly better lighting, and more pronounced foliage (ie, more grass textures).

*Frame rate appears to be very close. The PS4 again has a *slight* advantage, as I have noticed the 'juddering' that Digital Foundry talked about with the XB1 when they did their analysis when the game launched last year. It's most noticeable when rotating around your character, or anywhere that the camera rotates fairly quick. HOWEVER;

*The XB1 seems to handle driving fast through traffic better than PS4. There is noticeable judder/dropped frames on PS4 in this scenario, XB1 is almost always 'smoother' in this regard. PS4 handles intense scenes (explosions etc) better than XB1.

*One odd thing I've noticed when driving in the grass...On XB1, it seems to stutter a bit more (frame drops?) when driving around in it, the PS4 doesn't do this at all.

*The PS4'S initial loading screen (with the sirens and Rockstar logos) is noticeably choppier than XB1, not sure why that is. PS4 is quicker to load SP by about 10-15 seconds. (initially I observed XB1 to be quicker, but with the latest patch the advantage goes to PS4).

*The XB1's controller feels a bit more responsive than the DS4, although adjusting the sensitivity in game for the DS4 largely eliminates the advantage to XB1. The DS4's touch pad adds some nice shortcuts - swiping to change radio stations/weapons and also to throw grenades whilst aiming with a weapon.

*Online with both has improved after early issues. I do notice that PS4 lobbies are a bit less laggy than XB1 ones. In the end, it really comes down to your internet connection - but online is not as stable as it is with 360/PS3.

:)

You can also throw grenades while holding a weapon on Xbox One, just press right on the d-pad i think.

Since I don't own an Xbox One I can't say. The only advice I can give you is to get the console that succeeds whatever previous-gen consoles you've owned. For example, I got a PS4 because I also owned a PS2 and a PS3.

Both consoles are most likely identical in hardware, features and quality anyway...

Well I had a PS3, I have a PS2 and PS1, and I also have 360. That's what's killing me. I've had both PS3 and 360 so I have no clue which would be better for the new gen

I had a 360 and finally decided that I was getting a PS4. It was the best decision I made. I cant brag about the hardware etc because I dont know the specs of the Xbone. I got it for the exclusives. In my opinion, PS exclusives blow the Xbone exclusives away.

Well it depends. You could go for an Xbox One if all the media features interest you, and it's upcoming exclusives library looks a bit better imo. In the end that's the best advice I give. I would recommend a PS4, but it's really up to you.

They look better at certain things in their own rights. Xbox one's coloration seems to be better but foliage beats the sh*t out of the GPU and therefore has less grass and such compared to the PS4.

I went from 360 to PS4 based on specs, GTAV looking slightly better on it, and Microsoft's painfully ridiculous pre-launch marketing making me lose confidence that they even knew what they were trying to sell. I really like the 360 and feel it was the winner of its generation, and I definitely think Xbox Live is a superior service to PSN, but the PS4 just made more sense this time.

You can do the same on the PS4 version by swiping up on the touch pad. Just clearing things up is all.

I said that because someone said it was only possible on PS4, just clearing things up is all.

Police Sniper

Pick a console that has the best exclusives to you. I am a Playstation player to the end since I played it since the PS1. I picked the PS cause I enjoy the exclusive better compared to its counter-parts.

If you want an entertainment hub I would go with XBoxOne as it has many extra features, for things like watching and controlling your TV etc.

If you want a Mostly Gaming Console I would go with a PS4.

Another big factor is what exclusive games you want, for instance PS4 has Naughty Dog games like The Last of Us and Uncharteds, and Xbox has it's own exclusives like in the Halo universe (I don't know much about the XB1 exclusives)

I have a PS4, If that matters.

Also Xbox One lightning

It's the same on PS4. The only difference between GTA 5 XO and PS4 version is more foliage on PS4.

Oh and speaking of colors. A lot of people say "xbone have better culurs!!!11". No. You just have to set RGB colors (in PS4 settings) to full and it will look same. On XO it's set to full by default.

PS4.

Official General

Well I'm getting a PS4 soon, so I'm gonna probably get the NG version of V for the PS4. I also own a PS3 and a PS2 before that, so it's natural progression on my part.

I own GTA V for the PS4.

The PS4 is selling more consoles and games compared to the XB1.

PS4 also has slightly better graphics effects than the XB1 version of GTA V.

User base is much larger on the PS4, meaning easier to find people to play with.

But you should choose the platform your friends play on, or whatever you'd like.

My recommnedation is still the PS4 ;)

I would choose Xbox One, I personally do not like the PS4 controller.

The graphics is a bit better on PS4, so if graphics is really important you should go for PS.

When it comes to exclusives booth consoles has good games, so it depends on what type of games you like (ps has The last of us, Driveclub, xbone has Halo and Gran Turismo)

I am not sure but as I understand the online function are slightly better on Xbox than PS.

Like earlier said the PS4 has more users than Xbox, so it might be better playing online games.

Xbox has a bit cheaper online services (not sure about the price right now)

I think I am going for Xbox One because I have had the original Xbox and Xbox 360.

Please correct me if I am wrong :)

If I was a 360 owner, I'd probably just move to Xbox One (no point jumping ship now). The primary reason I bought a PS4 was familiarity, then as already mentioned, exclusives (in this case Sucker Punch)

This.

If you played on a 360 previously just go for the Xbox One, but if you have more friends playing on PS4, go for the PS4.

And to be honest, although I only have a PS4, I prefer the XBO controller because I bought it for my PC and it feels a lot more comfortable to the hand than the PS4 controller.
