fefenc
I just formatted my PC and installed Steam on my PC, I tried to log in and Steam Guard has halted me because it was asking for a code on my E-MAIL. I logged on my E-mail and picked up the most recent Steam Guard code (X/12/14) and it didn't worked. Then I pressed "advance" to receive a new steam guard code, I just checked my E-MAIL and there is nothing recent there. I checked my Spambox, the excluded box and everything, steam isn't sending me the steamguard code to allow me acess Steam on my "new" computer. I tried to use the steam support and I just created an support account and confirmed it on my E-MAIL, but looks like that the steam support page to create a new ticket is offline. I don't know what can I do now or who ask for help. Does someone has a tip or a way to solve this big issue?
RyanBurnsRed
Yeah it takes awhile sometimes. Sometimes it takes minutes...other times it takes hours.
Eurotrash
Apparently I now have to accept e-mail verifications whenever I want to trade. This is some old bulls**t. Also, the Community Hubs don't seem to work anymore. Almost every time I check for screenshots or artwork it goes "No more content, so sad :C". Origin sounds pretty good right about now. fefenc
Can't complain on the support page because there isn't any option to submit the complaint... https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/27/612823460277423954/#p2 Aparently, at least on HUEHAUEHAzil, everyone with Hotmail.com e-mail accounts are suffering from this extremely giant issue with Steam Guard. People with 2 computers are swapping their steam account e-mail, but people with 1 computer that just formatted their PCs are f*cked up Edited February 11, 2015 by fefenc
Mista J
People still use hotmail?
RyanBurnsRed
I still use hotmail, and that could be an issue with it. Like I said sometimes it depends how fast it arrives. Most of the time for me it's instant. Other times it takes awhile. The most annoying thing is having to do it every time I clear my browsing history or sign in from anywhere that I haven't already logged into. It's annoying but if it stops someone from stealing my account and all 200+ games I have on there then I'll just suck it up and deal with it. fefenc

fefenc
People still use hotmail? It's called Outlook, these days... the site is, don't ask me why, but the layout sucks in comparison with the previous one. I still use hotmail, and that could be an issue with it. Like I said sometimes it depends how fast it arrives. Most of the time for me it's instant. Other times it takes awhile. I'd rather waiting for the hotmail fix on Steam than swapping to an unsafe and full of ads spam by the own google, G-MAIL. I can live a week without Skyrim, and I think my PC will need to be formatted again, so I can deal with it for now by playing Devil May Cry 1 (not that rebooted piece of crap) on my PC. EDIT: Just saw on the reddit and the gringos are suffering from this issue aswell, it isn't happening only on heuaheauzil. Looks like Steam and Hotmail are passing the blame to eachother, just like a hot potato game. EDIT 2: Problem solved, Steam finally sent me a mail with a code to log on my PC, after 2 days. Apparently their problem with Hotmail.com is solved. Thread closed! Edited February 12, 2015 by fefenc
