This is completely new to me. Never seen it or heard of it, and I play with women from my crew all the time.

I've found there are three types of people in GTA Online that interact with female toons -

 

The air thrusting one that constantly invites you to their apartment.

 

The white knight that tries to defend the female in a mission with no regard to the fact that her rank is three times than that of theirs.

 

The 12 year old that has only just discovered women and will kill one to get a better look.

 

Let's not forget the female character crews. And if your character is female, there's a better chance they won't hunt you.

Well, I guess seeing the characters, and even actual female players get hit on/antagonized/stalked is commonplace. Obviously it happens a lot with all the young, hormonally raging, sexually frustrated males.

 

But I'm curious tho, anybody aware if this happens the other way around, if at all, ever? >_>

When im bored i help out random smaller players get money by doing missions with them.

Almost every time there's a female character doing the mission, at least one male will run her over with their car or blow up her car with a sticky bomb.

Usually the girl character dies and has to sit out the mission.

Yesterday, i was doing a survival and one of the other two males in the job tried voting her out at round 10.

Why do people do this??

 

They don't like trannies.LOL

They most likely have mommy issues, and girls in real life want nothing to do with them.

I've had adults and teenagers treat me the same way, so it's not just kids being stupid.

 

One day I was in a mission with two adult males and they kept calling me all sorts of nasty names. After the mission was over, I sent both of them messages, telling them what I thought of them. They replied back, " We were only kidding."

If anyone heard the way they were talking to me, they would not take that as kidding around. Their tone was nothing but harsh and foul. Both horrible individuals.

Almost every mission I play in has a female character and I can honestly say I never come across people doing this...

Yeah, there's something really exasperating about horny weirdos seeing vaguely-girl-shaped pixels, and their brains melting...

I mean, c'mon kiddies - it's creepy and sad if you're doing it under the assumption that there's a real-life girl on the other end, and she's going to give you her number/Snapchat info because you air-thrusted at her character (before running them over with your clown-horn neon-blue Zentorno...), but when their PSN ID/Gamertag reads 'Matthew802' or 'Steve_GTA' or whatever, odds are, that's a dude, and so you really are just being weird about girl-shaped animations on a screen.

Everyone here complains about the GTA:O community being sh*t. I don't wholly agree with that but there is noticeably percentage of trolls. But, when these trolls are being their a-holes selves to women then it's a surprise? Then it's a conspiracy that sexist childern and sexist man-childern lurk around every corner in GTA:O?

 

I think the trolls of GTA:O like to troll. There is no deeper meaning.

In fairness, it's just the rather weak status quo of gaming online - same reason that I'd lose count of the amount of rage-quitting kiddie squeakers calling total strangers 'fa***t' over the mic during games of Halo, or bragging about how they're going to 'f*** yer mom' or whatever.

 

That it's predominantly idiot teen/pre-teen boys or frat-bros just upps the odds of trash-talk/trolling also being sexist/homophobic/transphobic, IMO.

i've had it happen with me the other way around before as well

 

of course, their approach wasn't nearly as aggressive as your average GTA-thug, but they were persistent.

 

regardless it's still just as f*cking annoying.

Oh man i almost forgot about the air-humpers walking around behind the girls during the mission playing choo-choo train with the air thrust action.

Sad but it makes me laugh for a second. Then i ignore him and her and go finish the mission.

My girl character always gets the following-about air thrusts, and that's even before I start blowing kisses at them, or getting staggering drunk and rubbing myself all over them in their apartment

I can just sit in the road and wait for a minute after mission starts. Next thing you know there's a thump and you see girls body go flying. LOL

I remember an old active thread here where tons of guys were talking about how their lady characters were getting offered rides, help, and weapons by the people who were blowing up their male characters.

I get only creepy friend requests during missions. No kick votes. Annoying are the players playing the choo-choo train during survivals. It breaks the cover and my avatar got shot several times. The perb was on my friends list, so all he got was a kick from that very friends list.

 

I do not know how these creeps expect to get a date, by stalking or being a pain in the neck.

 

I have met several gamers with female avatars. We both played with a female avater. We did a mission marathon, we had a good time. I never brought up the gender issue. Just treat everybody normal.

 

The more exposed meat, the higher the odds that it is controlled by a male player. So my idea is that if the avatar is stylish dressed, more people think the avatar us controlled by a girl gamer.

Only kidding, I do agree with you. I've played with a few clicks in gta and it was a nice change of pace. I treated them like one of the guys and they actually respected me for it, odd I know, girls enjoy respect.

 

It annoys me that girls get picked on in the game, or harassed by virgins air thrusting my charachters ass..

Girls should be treated the exact same as guys in the game, I'm always tempted to play as a male charachter instead so I don't have to deal with the sh*t. But I do get satisfaction out of boys ganging up on me and then me butchering every last one of them, they won't mess with me again. And for the record I am a real girl haha. Respect to you btw!

 

 

Plenty of girls do this, so they don't get harassed or just because they want to play as a male. It's something most boys don't even realize that happens... completely oblivious. Funny though how when that happens you never hear "Hey, it's a boy...eh, it's probably a girl".

 

I've been thinking about making a male for a while but still haven't done it. I started to on PS3, but just stopped in the middle of creating him.

I'd be curious to find out if you play as a male avatar with a mic so people know you're a girl, would they still air hump your dude?

 

I think a lot of sexual harassment directed at women in games is directed more at their avatar than at the player.
